This movie is probably the most hyped up movie out of all the Naruto movies there is and I would say that this movie is one of the most disappointing ones.
Story: (4/10)
The story of The Last: Naruto the Movie (brilliant name) begins with a flashback of Hinata getting bullied by a couple of kids and Naruto comes in to try and stop them but he gets beat up by them and they rip up his scarf. It then skips into 2 years after the fourth shinobi war and Hinata's sister is kidnapped by some mysterious people and now Naruto,

Hinata, Sakura, Sai, and Shikamaru must go and save Hinabi. I think that the romance between Naruto and Hinata was really forced into the movie so that Naruto could fall in love with Hinata because in the beginning of the movie Naruto wasn't interested at all in Hinata. One scene that really showed this was the scene when Naruto and his group jump into a weird bubble that has a genjutsu on it that causes people to see memories which doesn't make any sense for the villain to put on because it causes no harm to the characters and through Hinata's knitted scarf Naruto and Hinata are able to somehow go through each others memories. After Naruto sees all of Hinata's memories he suddenly realizes that she is in love with him and he starts to fall in love with her and this is all showed in a jumbled up mess of scenes showing the times where Hinata was subtly and non-subtly showing her feelings to Naruto. I really don't get why Naruto is able to see these specific memories of Hinata instead of her other ones. I also found the first half of the movie annoying because it was pretty much about Hinata debating if she is or not going to give Naruto her knitted scarf. I found all the action scenes in this movie to be very over the top to the point were I thought that I was watching Dragon Ball Z with the absurd amount of power being shown. Examples of this is when Naruto's chakra is taken out of him and made into a ball and it falls to the ground and causes a gigantic explosion that goes the moon and causes a big crater in the ground, the moon gets cut in half during the final battle, and Sasuke cuts a giant meteor into pieces. There is pretty much no more boundaries in how much power the characters could have now.
Art and Animation: (7/10)
The art in this movie was good and it really showed during the action scenes and there are some interesting visuals during the final scenes of the movie and credit scene. The animation was equally as good as the art in quality with everything feeling alive.
Sound: (4/10)
I thought they would go all out on the soundtrack of this movie but disappointingly they didn't and it just ended up being forgettable like the soundtracks from all the other Naruto movies before it. The voice actors all did a good job voice acting even though some of the characters in the movie had one line to say.
Characters: (4/10)
There were a lot of unnecessary characters added into the story because of how little they did to help and were only added into the story so that people could see how the characters would look like in a 2 year time skip but the problem is that all the characters still look the same with Naruto being the only one changing because it looks like he is balding now. Hanabi is rarely in the movie even though the whole point in the beginning is to go save her and the characters going to go save her don't really look like they are going under any stress about it especially Hinata. I felt that the main antagonist was underdeveloped and just kind of came out of nowhere in the story.
Enjoyment: (4/10)
Interesting visuals, good animation, cool but absurd fight scenes, and there was this one scene when the moon suddenly crashes into the school during the genjutsu scene and I though it was hilarious.
Overall: (4/10)
The Last: Naruto the Movie is a movie that I'm sure the fans of Naruto will love but I just think that it is a mess of a movie.

From what I am able to see this movie has been rated to be the second best Naruto movie with its score but I can say that this is far from the truth.
Story: (4/10)
The story of Naruto: Shippuuden Movie 6 - Road to Ninja begins with a retelling of Minato and the Kyuubi. It then skips to the present with Naruto and his team fighting the revived versions of the Akatsuki and after the Akatsuki retreat Naruto and Sakura meet Tobi (Obito) who then sends them into a different world were everyone has the opposite personalities and now Naruto

and Sakura must find a way to get back to their own world. I found many problems with this story. One of them would be how all the characters from Konoha in the beginning of the movie all act like dicks to Naruto for no apparent reason and as well as the characters bringing up to event of becoming a jounin which the parents of the ninja have to give a recommendation letter in order for that to happen and that pretty much is rubbing it in Naruto's face that he has no parents. This with the combination of how his parents are alive in the opposite world causes a clear view of how the movie will end up. There was a twist that was added into the story that I was able to see from a mile away. The opposite personality gimmick gets old very quickly and the predictability of the movie just ends up making it boring.
Art and Animation: (5/10)
The art was very average and there was nothing very visually appealing about it. The animation was good with the explosions that were happening all the time and action scenes keeping the viewer interested in it.
Sound: (5/10)
There is nothing memorable about the soundtrack in this movie with just some generic music. The voice actors all did a good job like always.
Characters: (4/10)
Even though people would say that the characters are the best part about the movie, I thought that characters were all a jumbled mess. The positives about the characters is that showed some of the problems Naruto and Sakura had to go through and the opposite personalities of the other characters were fun to see at first. This is one of the first times were Naruto has been a useless character because he throughout the movie does nothing to help everybody and when he actually tries he messes up and gets somebody else hurt which is what Naruto doesn't do because he is usually the one that gets hurt for somebody else. Naruto also acted very whiny throughout it too until the ending. Like I said before the opposite personality thing gets old fast and gets pushed aside. What I mean about them getting old fast is how that their opposite personality is the only defining feature that they will have throughout the movie and won't have anything deeper added to them other than that and they get pushed aside in the movie very quickly in the movie which just makes them seem that they didn't contribute anything to the story. I didn't get why Tobi sent them to a different world in the first place even though I'm sure that at that time Tobi could have easily overpowered Naruto and would have taken the kyuubi power from him and wouldn't have to go through the whole ordeal of taking him to a different world.
Enjoyment: (5/10)
The fighting scenes were nice to look at and there was some interesting conflicts shown.
Overall: (5/10)
Naruto: Shippuuden Movie 6 - Road to Ninja is a movie that had potential to be an interesting movie but it had too many things that held it back.

After the disappointing fourth Naruto: Shippuuden movie we move onto the next which I found to be an actual good Naruto movie.
Story: (4/10)
The story of Naruto: Shippuuden Movie 5 - Blood Prison begins with the Raikage getting attacked by a mysterious person who then reveals himself to be Naruto and after fighting for a bit he eventually eventually escapes from the Raikage. Later, Tsunade banishes Naruto to a far away prison with Naruto claiming that he had been framed. Once Naruto gets to the prison he will soon notice that there is a sinister plan brewing. One of the

problems I had with the story is how everyone in Konoha soon tells Naruto that it was their plan to send Naruto to this prison so he could discover if there is something going on in the prison but couldn't they have just sent some people over there to check if there was something over there instead of just sending Naruto to a prison and leaving him there for a few days until he figures that there is something happening. I found many things that didn't make any sense in the story. An example of that would be how Naruto leaves a shadow clone in his jail cell to gather natural energy for his Sage form even though there was a seal placed on him that intensely burns him if he ever uses any chakra in the prison and is it even possible for a shadow clone to gather energy if the host is using energy to produce the shadow clone? Another thing that didn't make any sense was how Naruto is still able to use chakra and move around even though he got impaled by the main antagonist and leaving him with a gigantic hole in his stomach but I guess this is a Shounen movie/anime so it gets a pass. One of the positive things about the story is how Naruto uses his Sage mode because he never uses that form again after the Pain arc. Another positive thing about the story is how Naruto finally uses some variety in his attacks in the fight scenes instead of just spamming Shadow Clone Jutsu and Rasengan.
Art and Animation: (6/10)
The art in this movie is much more visually appealing than the art in the fourth movie. The animation in the movie was good and helped the action scenes be more impactful.
Sound: (5/10)
I really don't know what to say about the soundtrack other than it was generic and very forgettable. The voice actors did a good job voicing the characters like always.
Characters: (5/10)
I think that the characters had been much more well done than any other Naruto movie I have seen so far but there are some problems with the characters like how many of them were unnecessary and pushed in. An example of this would be in the final fight in the movie because all the characters from Konoha came to all fight the main antagonist. Naruto's shenanigans of trying to escape from the prison were fun to watch but they would show how much of an idiot Naruto is. An example of this would be in the scene when he is talking to Ryuuzetsu and she says that if he escapes he would have no proof of his innocence but Naruto says he doesn't care and jumps into the ocean which is being very violent with its tides and whirlpools it is causing which causes Naruto to nearly get killed but Ryuuzetsu jumps in and saves him. Ryuuzetsu who is one of our main characters in this movie is pretty well developed throughout the movie but she just lacked the screen time to fully be a good character. Two villains in the movie are actually somewhat well developed while the rest are just one dimensional.
Enjoyment: (5/10)
The action scenes were good and there was some character development in it.
Overall: (5/10)
Naruto: Shippuuden Movie 5 - Blood Prison is good for a Naruto movie and I think it is the best Naruto movie so far.

After 3 steady in quality Naruto: Shippuuden movies the creators finally dropped the ball with this one.
Story: (4/10)
The story of Naruto: Shippuuden Movie 4 - The Lost Tower begins with Naruto, Sai, Sakura, and Yamato going on mission to stop a rogue ninja named Mukade from removing a seal in the ruins of Ouran. predictable with nothing making it any different from any other Naruto movie. The story moved in the same way as the first Naruto: Shippuuden movie. The chakra blade that they introduced in the beginning of the movie that could cut chakra strings ended up to be very gimmicky and unnecessary because it was only used in the end of the movie. A thing I didn't get from the movie is how they way Naruto and Yamato were sent back in time through a "space-time jutsu" which didn't make any sense because of how they didn't go further into detail in how a jutsu can send you back in time but the jutsus in the anime didn't make any sense anyway because of how there are no boundaries to them. Another thing that I found in the movie to be very disappointing were the fight scenes. The fight scenes were not even close to as good as the fight scenes from the third Shippuuden movie because of how each character would recycle their jutsus over and over again especially with Naruto. The ending for the movie was terrible.
Art and Animation: (5/10)
I found the art in the movie to be very average because there was nothing visually appealing to it. The animation in the movie was good even though the action scenes were boring.
Sound: (4/10)
The soundtrack wasn't very interesting with nothing really adding to the scenes and just overall very forgettable.
Characters: (4/10)
Many characters were pushed to the side in this movie. Sakura and Sai were only in the beginning and end of the movie, so they couldn't have been easily not in the movie. Yamato only comes up at the very end of the movie with young Kakashi who also only came up in the end of the movie. Chouza and Shibi only came up in one fight scene. One of the most disappointing things about this movie is how this movie seemed to be hyping up the reason on how Minato was going to be in it but the truth is that he was rarely in the movie. This was the exact same situation as the one in the second Shippuuden movie with the inclusion of Sasuke into the story. Minato's most important scene was in the ending which was very underwhelming. Saara who is the main character of the movie was just like every other underdeveloped main characters from the other Naruto movies. The villain in this movie is also very underdeveloped.
Enjoyment: (3/10)
It was at least well animated during the fight scenes.
Overall: (4/10)
Naruto: Shippuuden Movie 4 - The Lost Tower that wasn't very interesting and just felt like a big waste of time. This movie is the worst Naruto: Shippuuden movie so far.

So far everything is seeming to slowly go up in quality with the last 2 Naruto Shippuuden movies and this movie helps that trend.
Story: (4/10)
The story of Naruto: Shippuuden Movie 3 - Hi no Ishi wo Tsugu Mono begins with the potential outbreak of a Fourth Great Ninja World War, a few ninjas with Kekkei Genkai abilities begin to disappear from the land of Lightning, Earth, Water and Wind. One of the Kekkei Genkai members plans to become an immortal perfect ninja by using his chimera technique and the only thing left to complete it is to absorb Kakashi.

Now, Naruto and his group must go save Kakashi. One of my main problems with the story is how many of Naruto's allies didn't want to save Kakashi because they taught that it was the only way to save everyone even thought if they let the person absorb Kakashi and become immortal it could mean death of everyone because of how Hiruko has villainous motivations that are shown throughout the whole movie. There were many moments that I felt that were meaningless to put in and took up a lot of time and some are found near the middle of the movie. I thought that the ending to the movie was very absurd with all that it showed.
Art and Animation: (7/10)
The art in the movie was good with it being able to keep every character's design consistent and good, the backgrounds were good, and all the different powers that were shown looked good. The animation in this movie is the best thing about it and is LEAGUES better than the animation in the anime. The fights were all animated fantastically especially the fight with Gaara and the final fight.
Sound: (5/10)
The soundtrack is nothing to write home about with the ending song for the movie being fine. The voice actors did a good job with all the characters and the sound effects were average.
Characters: (4/10)
I thought that many characters that were included in this movie were unnecessary like all the side characters from the ninja teams with only Shikamaru being the only one out of side characters that contributed anything to the plot and having a interesting conflict with him that is shown throughout the whole movie. This movie gave some amount of spotlight to Sai who is supposed to be the replacement of Sasuke in the Shippuuden anime which was cool to see but he is quickly pushed to the side in the later half of the movie kind of like in the anime. Sakura did nothing in the movie again. Kakashi who is our main character in this movie was given a small amount of screen time with some of his scenes consisting of him remembering his past when he was in a team with Obito and Rin. All the villains that were in this were all very one dimensional and underdeveloped especially the main villain.
Enjoyment: (5/10)
The animation in this movie is really good and all action scenes benefit a lot from this.
Overall: (5/10)
Naruto: Shippuuden Movie 3 - Hi no Ishi wo Tsugu Mono is a movie that lacks many things in many departments but the animation in it solely caused me to give this movie a 5 instead of a 4.

As my journey continues through reviewing all the Naruto movies it so far is going at steady pace in quality with both of the Shippuuden movies I have seen. Hopefully it stays this way and doesn't change dramatically like the piece of trash that was Naruto Movie 3.
Story: (4/10)
The story of Naruto: Shippuuden Movie 2 - Kizuna begins with a mysterious group of ninjas bombing Konoha which leaves everybody awestruck at all the destruction and suffering that these ninjas have caused. Now, Naruto, Sakura, Hinata, a man named Shinnou and his pupil who is named Amaru must go and

discover what these ninja are planning. One of my main problems with the story is how many things that the characters seem to do just ends up to be meaningless because of how something just comes out of nowhere and disposes of the conflict instantly. All this time that was used for these scenes could have been put to much better use. This movie finally brung back the past trend that the first 3 Naruto movies did and that is to incorporate modern things into the story which for example are gigantic battleships, weird mechanical air gliders, guns, and a giant fortress that can go all the way up to the sky. The way that the story explains how there is a gigantic fortress that can go all the way to the sky that is hidden underground is by saying that there was a race back then that was able to make this which doesn't make any sense because how did they get all the material to make it if this is during the ninja era! The rest of the things I mentioned don't get answered at all.
Art and Animation: (6/10)
The art in this movie is good. The character designs are interesting and stay consistent, the backgrounds are good, and all the special attack visuals shown were good. The animation was equally as good as the art and the best of it can be seen during battles.
Sound: (5/10)
The soundtrack in this movie was pretty forgettable with the ending song being the best song. The voice actors did a good job with the characters and the sound effects were average.
Characters: (3/10)
The characters in this movie are all over the place. Naruto is still the same character that is the only one that does anything that affects the plot, is always giving inspirational speeches to the main characters, and always uses his nakama power. Sakura and Hinata don't do anything throughout the whole movie to the point that they could have just been not in the movie and there would be no change! and Hinata is in the movie even less than Sakura was which is terrible. I'm sure that many people were hyped up to finally see Sasuke come back and fight along side Naruto against a villain like in the old anime but all I can do is feel sorry for them because Sasuke is barely in this movie at all. Throughout the movie we see very short scenes of what Sasuke is doing with no dialog from him and apart from these scenes we don't see anything else about him until the final part of the movie. In the final fight in the movie it doesn't even look like Naruto needed any help to defeat the main antagonist because he was the one that pretty much did all the work to defeat him which makes it seem that Sasuke didn't have to be in this movie since this is Sasuke's only role in the movie. There was also some other characters that were not necessary to be in due to how little they do and how their problem just disappears instantly in the later half of the movie and these characters are Kakashi, Sai, Shikamaru, and Shino. Amaru who is our main character in this movie was pretty well developed but I felt that she could had much more potential to become a good character if they just gave her more time in the movie. There isn't much to say about the villains due to how they do not change at all in character in these movies because every single time their motivation is to destroy things because destroying things is cool.
Enjoyment: (4/10)
The animation and art was well done.
Overall: (4/10)
Naruto: Shippuuden Movie 2 - Kizuna had its moments with the animation and art but other than that there isn't really much to say about it because everything else is a mess.

After the TERRIBLE last impression that the third Naruto movie left with us, we move onto the Naruto: Shippuuden Movie 1 and the new anime which means a new beginning. How well does this movie fair in comparison to the last 3 Naruto movies? It is good enough to completely blow those 3 out of the water.
Story: (4/10)
The story of Naruto: Shippuuden Movie 1 begins with 5 mysterious people fighting their way into a shrine that contains a demon that was able to destroy the world and that demon is soon released. Now it is up to Naruto, Sakura,

Lee, and Neji to escort the shrine maiden named Shion to it because she is the only one able to seal the demon. The first thing I noticed about this story is how it was the same story as the first Naruto movie because it follows the same formula that the first movie showed. Naruto and his group go on escort mission, they fight the main antagonist's servants, the main character of the movie is captured leaving only Naruto to go save her, and Naruto is able to defeat the main antagonist. But the story in this movie was much better executed than the first movie's story. One of my main problems with the story is that a mission that could end up destroying the whole world was assigned to rookies like Naruto, Sakura, Lee, and Neji and we are not talking about the extremely OP Naruto from the recent episodes of the anime, we are talking about the Naruto from the very beginning of Shippuuden. Why couldn't this mission be assigned to all the team leaders or even Tsunade because I'm sure that they would be able to guarantee the mission ending up an success and not have a 50-50 chance of being able to succeed like Naruto and his group. The ending for this movie was bad. It was never explained how they didn't die in that last scene even though their chances of escaping that was very low.
Art and Animation: (6/10)
The art for the movie was pretty good. The character designs stay consistent throughout the whole thing, the backgrounds look good, and the special power visuals looked good. I also like the use of black shading that they used for one scene. The only thing I didn't like about the art is how they used CGI stone warriors and how they didn't mesh well with the backgrounds. The animation in the movie was good even though it would look clunky at times but still good.
Sound: (5/10)
The soundtrack didn't stand out and didn't make any scenes more intense but the ending song was good. The voice actors did a fine job with the characters and the sound effects were average.
Characters: (4/10)
First we have Naruto who is always his same old self with his shenanigans and telling everyone that he could defeat anybody with the power of friendship at his side. Next we have Sakura who again, like always, is never contributing anything to the plot, come on writers! Please make Sakura an actual important character that isn't just there to call Naruto a baka and to fight the enemies that come their way. Next we have Lee and Neji in which their whole role is to be allies to fight of the main antagonist's servants. Next we have a character named Taruho who is Shion's most loyal bodyguard and that is pretty much all there is to him because he gets killed off very quickly in the movie. Finally, we have the main character of the movie and that is Shion. She pretty much is a more likable version of the main character of the first Naruto movie and she is given more backstory than the other girl. Oh and there is also Kakashi but he is not worth mentioning because he is in only one scene in the movie. The villains are also not worth mentioning because of how underdeveloped they are and how their only motivation is to destroy things because destroying things is cool.
Enjoyment: (4/10)
It had some interesting visuals, good animation, and had some character development in it.
Overall: (4/10)
Naruto: Shippuuden Movie 1 destroys the first 3 Naruto movies with its story, art and animation, and characters but there is still many things that I found wrong with it that it made it not possible for me to call it a good movie.

After the improvement of the second Naruto movie surely there is a chance for the next Naruto movies to get better right? WRONG!!! That chance I was hoping for got drop-kicked out of the window as soon as I saw this movie. This movie is TERRIBLE!! and now I will make a review on it to hopefully take out all of my stress I have obtained after my view of it.

named Michiru Tsuki and Hikaru Tsuki all around the world but there will be a suprise waiting for them as soon as they get to the Moon Country. Ok, so first off imagine the story of the first movie and make it 2 times more stupid and the result you will get is this movie's story. The pacing of the movie is terrible, it moves at a snail's pace and it is worse during the early half of the movie and all this time is dedicated to the characters so we as the viewers can relate to them but they are all so unlikable that I just want to stab myself the whole time. In the middle part of the movie it introduces a new conflict that just seems comes out of nowhere and it totally feels like it is out of place because there is no buildup to it in the whole early half of the movie at all. The final fight scene of the movie is supposed to be really dramatic but I just found myself laughing the whole time it was on! I mean, really? A crescent moon rasengan?
Art and Animation: (4/10)
The art in the first half of the movie manages to stay good but when the later half of the movie begins the art just takes a nosedive in quality. The character designs look inconsistent all the time! The backgrounds don't look as good, and the special attack visuals don't look cool at all. The animation in the movie is the same as the art in quality. The bad animation starts to look really apparent during the final fights in the movie and I would even say that the animation from the anime is much better in comparison to this.
Sound: (3/10)
If you thought that the soundtrack for the first movie was generic and forgettable, wait until you hear the soundtrack to this movie. The only thing I liked about it was that after 2 other movies they finally put "The Raising Fighting Spirit" song into a Naruto movie. The voice actors did a fine job voicing the characters except for the person who voice acted for Hikaru because at moments his voice would seem off.
Characters: (2/10)
I would say that the characters are the worst part of the movie. Naruto is still his same stupid self and him being motivational when the time calls for it. Sakura's whole role in the movie is just to fight 1 out of the 3 villains and to punch Naruto and call him a baka for any stupid things he does. Lee is supposed to be the replacement for Sasuke because of how Sasuke left with Orochimaru in the later half of the anime. Lee barely contributes anything to the story to the point that Lee could have just been not in the movie at all and all he does in movie is to fight 1 out of the 3 villains. The sad thing about Lee is that on the page of this movie and in the characters & voice actors section he is called the supporting character. Michiru had the potential of being a good character with the conflict of him wanting to get his wife back but this is quickly pushed away. Then, we have Hikaru which to me is one of the reasons why I thought the movie was bad. In the early half of the movie he is just very unlikable with how he acts and I'm sure he cried at least 10 times in the movie and I know that he is a kid but I think that that is a little too many times for him to cry. He soon learns to have more courage in one of the conflicts he runs into in the early half of the movie but after that he quickly reverts back to being a cry baby even thought the situation he was in before could have been the death of him. Finally, we have the villains. These villains are the most one dimensional villains I have ever seen because they are very undeveloped due of how little backstory they are given and the only thing they care about causing chaos.
Enjoyment: (2/10)
The movie was just only 1 hour and 34 minutes of suffering.

Naruto Movie 3: Dai Koufun! Mikazuki Jima no Animaru Panikku Dattebayo! is a movie that could even be an insult to the fans of the anime and for everyone else it is a piece of trash and should be forgotten as fast as possible.

I came into Naruto Movie 2: Dai Gekitotsu! Maboroshi no Chiteiiseki Dattebayo! with low expectations due to how much the first movie sucked but it turned out a little better than I have expected.
Story: (4/10)
The story of Naruto movie 2 begins with a big battle with Gaara, Kankuro, and the sand village people fighting against mysterious armored soldiers. It then cuts to Naruto, Shikamaru, and Sakura on a mission to catch a ferret but are soon interrupted by the mysterious armored soldiers. the story to be boring and predictable at many moments but it does attempt to keep the viewer in it by making battles happen left and right. The movie still keeps the trend of the first movie by incorporating modern things in it even though the anime's setting says otherwise and examples of this is a giant moving fortress made out of metal that has a gigantic drill in the front of it, small containment capsules, and a machine that are able to track things down. The story introduces a new things called gegel stones that supposedly can make a utopia even though the origin of the gegel stone clearly explains that people who used it went insane with power and killed each other which doesn't make any sense for Temujin to think that it will make a utopia and surprise, surprise, what do you think happens?
Art and Animation: (6/10)
The art in this movie was good and the character designs managed to stay consistent much more than the first movie. There were some interesting visual scenes during Kankuro's battle with one of the villains of the movie. The animation for this movie was definitely a step up from the last movie and the anime.
Sound: (5/10)
The soundtrack in this movie was very forgettable with the best song being the ending song. For some reason the movie used a song that sounds very similar to "The Raising Fighting Spirit" which is Naruto's main theme in the anime and it makes me question why they didn't use that one instead of this new version.
Characters: (4/10)
The characters definitely aren't the best part of the movie. First off, like always, we have Naruto who is always being an idiot with his shenanigans and is fueled with nakama power to beat any foe that comes his way. Next we have Shikamaru new to group which I'm thinking is because the movie takes place during the time in the anime when Sasuke goes with Orochimaru. Shikimaru does contribute to the plot somewhat but is mostly used for whenever the team needs to fight. Sakura is still the character that doesn't contribute anything to the plot and is used when the team needs to fight. Then we have other newcomers which are Gaara and Kankuro. Their whole role in the movie is to be more allies for Naruto so they can fight off the other villains and are usually put standing around in the background so the creators could remind us that they are still in the movie. Then we have the main character of the movie who is named Temujin. For the most part he is a pretty well developed character with how much backstory we are given about him but my main problem with him is how much he is an idiot. Examples of this is how he follows the people who think that the gegel stones will lead to a utopia even though the whole origin of the stone is explained to him and near the end of the movie he starts to realize all the destruction he has done when in the past we are told that him and the group he is in had destroyed an entire village and even then he still didn't realize how much destruction he has caused? I mean, c'mon. Finally, we have the villains which there isn't really much to say other than that they are very underdeveloped.
Enjoyment: (4/10)
The action scenes were cool to look at and there was some amount of character development.

Naruto Movie 2: Dai Gekitotsu! Maboroshi no Chiteiiseki Dattebayo! is an clear improvement on the previous movie but it still lacks many things for itself to be good.

Ahhh Naruto, I used to be the biggest fanboy of the anime. I would buy all the action figures, video games, and pretty much all the merchandise but ever since I was able to view anime in a more critical perspective I started to notice that it had so many flaws and this is also including Naruto: Shippuden. The anime has a huge amount plot holes, the pacing in it is terrible, the setting doesn't know what it wants to be, there is gigantic amounts of filler, deus ex machinas, contains many underdeveloped one dimensional characters, and the whole

idea of being ninjas is thrown out the window with the absurd amount of power the characters obtain. So whenever I look back at all the Naruto stuff I have, all I can do is cringe. Does this movie in any way help the anime? Nope. Will this movie convince anybody to see the anime? Not at all.
Story: (3/10)
The story of Naruto Movie 1 begins with Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura watching a movie at a movie theater with Naruto starting to really like the lead actress of the movie. Kakashi then assigns them to go on a mission to escort the lead actress named Kazehana Koyuki to the land of the snow to film a new movie but at the land of snow old enemies start to rise and cause problems. From the get go I already found the story to be very predictable. Naruto and his team meet new enemies and fight them, main character of the movie gets kidnapped, the team then goes to rescue her, and finally Naruto is able to beat the main villain by using the power of not giving up and friendship. I have seen this type of thing happen all the time in the anime and the creators could of at least put a spin on it to make it seem different but that did not happen. There were many moments in the movie that didn't make any sense and were always answered by using the power of not giving up. Another problem I had with the story was how it would show modern things like a movie theater, a film studio and filming supplies, and as well as a blimp which doesn't make any sense to have in the type of setting that the anime establishes.
Art and Animation: (5/10)
The art in this movie is fine at best. The backgrounds are okay, the character designs are okay but would look off model at times, and the special attack visuals are good. The animation in the movie is good and is much better than the animation in the anime.
Sound: (4/10)
The soundtrack in the movie is very generic and forgettable with only the ending song of the movie being good. The voice actors did a fine job with the characters but no one stood out.
Characters: (3/10)
The characters are definitely the worst part of the movie. Naruto is still his stupid self that is the typical main character that is able to defeat every villain through nakama power even though he is the second weakest member of his team. Sasuke is still his not caring about anything self and he is barely in the movie with him only being in scenes whenever the group needs to fight. Sakura is still the character that does not contribute anything to the story and she is in the movie even less than Sasuke was. Koyuki, the main character, is not likable at all. All she does in the movie is be angry and whiny at what anybody says to her and suddenly changes her personality at the end of the movie. The villains in the movie are all very underdeveloped and one dimensional and this just makes them look like their whole purpose of being villains is to be villains.
Enjoyment: (3/10)
The only enjoyment I got out of the movie is how the action scenes were animated.
Overall: (3/10)
Naruto Movie 1: Dai Katsugeki!! Yuki Hime Shinobu Houjou Dattebayo! is a movie that would only be found decent by the fans of the anime and anybody else looking to watch it should stay far away from it.
