Oishii Kankei (Manga) add
One of the major reasons I love reading this series over and over again is for its refreshing concept and provocative (at the time it was published) message that girls can be major players in the food industry. Our main character, Momoe is very much like a shounen hero-she overcomes trials that will either make or break her, and befriends damaged individuals most would give up on.
However, being a young and beautiful woman presents a unique challenge; because of her appearances, can she overcome sexism and be treated as a chef, before being treated as a woman? This tackles a very real, but rarely spoken ...

I haven't laughed so hard in a while, I have this manga to really thank. old school shoujo+ a mass production of cliches are all these 4 collections of one-shots are really about. There were some interesting, if not random scenes I didn't expect coming, but they all fell short....with the usual "jokes on me" kinda line. Nothing can be taken seriously about these stories, and the end of the day, you'll find the predictable plots and feathery writing to be so poorly executed, you'll just have to laugh. hard. This is bad, really bad. But also really funny.

Preliminary (Unknown/10 chp)
Plagiarism never scores high in my book.

This series struck me as a parody-turned yaoi at first glance....And 5 pages later, I'm 100% convinced there couldn't be a more blatant rip-ff of vampire knight, including the concept [private boarding school with vampires] ever. Theres the conveinantly similar [if not iconic] VK uniform, only sliiightly altered, because who could otherwise tell once you've thrown in a vest of two, right? I use manga often as studies for different drawing styles, and in any case, it doesn't take an artist to figure out the finely-detailed hair [let alone hairstyles] and Gothic atmosphere are all courtesy of Vampire Knight. ...

Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (Unknown/? chp)
The art is gorgeous, almost jaw-dropping as CLAMP once again, flaunts off their skills as a 20-year veteran of manga. Which is where I'm confused. If I'm a historian or fanatic of history class, certainly I could enjoy this. This manga however, as engaging as it promises to be in the beginning first pages, completely speeds away from its friendly welcome, and leaves you in the dust reading paragraph-long dialogue bubbles, struggling to keep your attention, as the fast-paced story forwards months later where the story connects with chapter 1. The characters don't help to pull you in either. Hana is adorable, main character guy is ...

Eyeshield 21 (Manga) add
Perhaps artistically, the delicate details that range from proportion, angle shots and equally detailed hair might be reflective of the author's assistance with the death note manga, which has only helped to heighten the enjoyment of this series even further for me.

A manga that can turn an indifferent artist into a rabid sports fanatic, is powerful. Eyeshield has my respect for winning me over, but moreso for delivering such a fascinating story that possessed me, as I literally pulled all-nighters just to read on to the next chapter.

Is my review biased? Any lover of a particular series would attempt at advertising what brings ...
