Watashi no Musuko ga Isekai Tensei shitappoi is a pretty refreshing take on the isekai genre where it focuses on those who are left behind. The premise deals with a grieving mother who asks help from her highschool otaku classmate to bring back her son who she believes has been isekaid. With this premise, the manga's pretty depressing but it's also surprisingly wholesome and uplifting. It primarily focuses on how the relationship between the grieving mother and the otaku classmate grow as they both complement and influence each other in the best of ways.

chapters but the manga is very promising. The storytelling and execution is done pretty well especially with a lot of the subtleties between the panels.

This is one of those shows that I was looking forward to when the trailer came but forgot it existed. As an experimental anthology series, the show is pretty ok. With any anthology series, there were a couple episodes that I really liked but the rest were either okay or just bad (I'm looking at you episode 2). It was interesting to see how each episode tried doing their own thing with the universe of Star Wars and attempts to capture the Star Wars spirit.

Unfortunately, I wasn't a big fan of the Studio Trigger episode. I was really expecting to like it. I'm a fan of their works but there was just this one part that brought back old wounds from The Last Jedi.

Oresama Teacher is one of the most unshoujo shoujos out there which is not a bad thing. If you are looking for romance story or the typical shoujo stuff, this is not for you. Oresama Teacher does have romance and implications of it but it's not the focus. It's more on comedy and the power of nakama/ friendship.

My only complaint is I wish there was more. The ending feels rushed. Throughout the whole manga, you get to see what Mafuyu has been up to throughout her highschool life then suddenly there are timeskips. It would have been nice if we get to see more of the characters inbetween the timeskip and also some resolutions with some of the threads.
TLDR: Really good "shoujo" manga if you want to laugh your ass off

I gotta say Wonder Egg Priority is a pretty disappointing anime.
I thought the concept was interesting and the animation was pretty but the execution was pretty lacking. There was a lot of lore building at episode 13 and it really seemed like the show would conclude the plot points such as the creepy art teacher or what ura-acca and acca would do with Frill. But the special, which was supposed to be the conclusion of the show, went nowhere. Half of the episode is recap which I'd sort of understand since it has been a while. But it had no business taking up half of

the episode. Would have been better if the recap was it's own episode.
The other half had not much to show besides a reveal about a certain character and oh look a time skip which showed no purpose. After watching the special, I had a lot more questions than answers and even if the ending screams season 2 or a movie, I'm not interested to figure out.
Maybe the show's just not for me but really. What was the whole point of the show?

A friend of mine recommended the show and watched with no expectations. I was really surprised with how I got invested with the characters and their koto playing.
Story is pretty serviceable. Plot's about our protagonist, megane kun, whose club mates in koto all graduated so he's recruiting members to keep his club going. The story then follows the club aiming for nationals.
Characters are pretty solid. As with any dramas, the main characters have tragic backstories. It was pretty interesting how the characters developed with the friendships they've developed within the class. It was pretty interesting how the characters have all been treated badly

by their environment and through koto they've found the solace and place they've belong.
For the character designs, I'd say a bit generic. Megane kun looks very similar to Shinpachi from Gintama or any high school black haired character with glasses. Same with blonde delinquent and black haired prodigy.
Like any show, the show has its hiccups. I found the first few episodes a bit jarring since there were a lot of unlikable characters at the start. It didn't help these unlikable characters were pretty one dimensional. I also got pretty confused with who was the main character since the more complex characters had a lot more focus. I almost forgot he was the main character until there was a conflict surrounding him in the later episodes.
Overall, 7/10. I enjoyed the anime even if it had its flaws. I would have given it an 8 if the anime was longer. If they combined season 2, I bet the show would be pretty good. As a standalone, the ending hurts the anime. Such a shame season 1 ended right after the climax finished.

I watched the anime first then read the manga since the 11 episodes was not enough and I wanted more. After finishing the manga, I can confirm the manga version is the superior version. I was really surprised seeing how much the anime diverted from the manga which is a complete shame. The story made a lot more sense in the manga than what the anime did.

did not know what to do with the story so she focused a bit on the new characters that were introduced. It's probably just me but I didn't care at all for these new characters they were just padding and used for conflict. It didn't help that the author utilize these characters at all for the last couple chapters since they appeared and somehow everything is ok.
The ending was pretty rushed since everything concluded in the two chapters. I personally enjoyed it since the story felt like itself again at the end but it would have been nice if the author gave it a couple more chapters since the pacing was really strange near the end.
I also wished the author focused a bit more on the side characters that were already there like the amars and the landmark developer lady, maybe add Tsukimi's dad into the picture or one of the other Amars' parents. It would have been interesting to see how the parents think of their daughters in this situation since they are the ones providing the allowance for their kid. It would have been interesting if the author explored more on the backstories of the characters and why they became otakus like the afro amars or the kimono amars.
Overall, I give Kuragehime a 7.5/10. Manga is pretty solid for the most part. I enjoyed reading it except for the second half and really love most of the characters especially Kurapyon's brother. I'm so proud of my 30 year old boy. It was also pretty nice to see a female neet as a protagonist since there's barely any stories with female neets

**If you are watching this instead of the original episodes, I highly suggest you skip the cutscene after the credits then go back around episode 147. They'll show characters that have yet to appear in the series.
I started watching this show a few weeks ago. After watching 57 episodes of the show, I decided to watch this movie instead of the original episodes (58-61) since many recommended it and said it was better than the original. Before I continue with this review, I am basing my review only on the arc itself and the movie as a whole without relying on the original episodes (58-61).

Story (5) : As a movie without relying on the show, the movie is pretty lacking as you need to obviously watch the show (specifically episodes 3-57 before watching this one) because you might or will be confused about what is going on. I found the arc to be pretty generic as it is pretty similar to a lot of Shonens or any action movies and some plot twists were rather predictable.
Art (8): To be frank, I can't say too much about the art since I have to compare it to the original episodes which I don't want to watch (I'm rather lazy and would prefer to move on with the show). But, I liked the improvements of the visuals in comparison to the original series as a whole.
Sound (7): The voice acting is outstanding as usual. The voice actor/actresses really portray the character well and it can really be seen that they enjoy their roles. However, I only had an issue with the BGM. It's quite frankly rather forgetful.
Character (5): The characters are the same characters from the show. Nothing really has changed. But, we get to see a bit of different sides of characters in this arc and there has been a bit of character development. Some of the characters introduced to this arc were rather bland and it was rather hard to empathise with them. I found one specific character's motive was rather weak and cliched.
Enjoyment (7): As usual, the movie had good comedy especially at the start and the end. Like the show, it had random yet entertaining punchlines and the fight scenes were good.
Overall (6): I liked the movie. It didn't quite reach my expectations but I still enjoyed the movie. It had a pretty good comedic start and punchlines throughout the movie. For the series' first serious arc, it was alright. It did have it's flaws like the arc being a generic and conclusion to be a bit lacking. After all, they do have to pave way for the other arcs.

Before I go into the review, I actually read the manga a long time ago. Since the chapter updates were rather slow, I stopped reading the manga completely and ended up forgetting the details and some arcs in the manga.
Story: 3/10
I found the plot alright. It's not too good nor too bad. The anime was pretty faithful adaptation from the parts I remembered. But, I felt that pacing was rather too fast. There was no time to breathe in the anime to calm down from the problems. Also, I noticed the anime went through a kind of formula for some of the episodes. The

problems are usually dealt half way through the episode then there is a cliffhanger for the next episode. The next episode resolves the problem then moves on.
Art: 7/10
The art was pretty good. There were some moments where it shined especially when magic is being casted and when they were conveying the emotional and dark scenes. However, I had a problem with the art direction of the first OP. I have nothing against the visuals. It is really gorgeous and pleasing to the eyes. However, they were not subtle about a lot of the events. They pretty much shove it in your face for a few seconds and it may spoil the experience especially if you haven't read the manga.
Sound: 7/10
I really enjoyed the first OP. The first OP was powerful, catchy, and it pretty much set the tone for the show. The first ED was alright but I found myself mostly skipping it. The second OP felt rather lacking in comparison to the first OP. I found the second ED was better than the first ED. Aside from the OP and Ed, I was very fond of the BGM especially the song that would pop up every time magic is being casted. I watched the dub and found it pretty good. The voices suited the characters and I didn't find it cringey at all.
Character: 4/10
I really liked Elias and another character that joins the protagonists a bit later on in the show. I do wish they explored more of the later character aside from the introduction episode. Hatori Chise, the main protagonist, had an entertaining character development but I found it rather lacking. The supporting cast was rather bland and forgettable.
Enjoyment: 4/10
As I mentioned earlier in the story, the pacing was too fast and some episodes were rather episodic. It did affect my enjoyment of the show but the problems that were being dealt in each situation was rather interesting. I have to admit one of the situations dealt in the show made me tear up a bit. I had problems with the comedy. I do understand that it is to make light of the heavy atmosphere but it does ruin some of the situations especially when the characters are dealing with problems. Also, the resolution of the conflict in the last few episodes felt so lacking and it felt like there were so many things that should have been covered but weren't there. Even though the ending was cute, I was just like "That's it??"
Overall: 5/10
Mahoutsukai no Yome is an okay show. It's something I wouldn't recommend to other people unless they are into a kinda beauty and the beast or person and monster relationship with supernatural and edginess thrown in it. If you want a show that's worth your time, I don't think this show is for you.
