If you like Madoka, you like the style of the Monogatari series and you're at least familiar with the Fate/Stay story, then you'll probably like this.

The pace is good, the art and music are good and it's got a reasonably good, epic story. Perfect for non-sober viewing, I expect to rewatch it at least a few times.

There are scenes that the show could benefit from having cut out though. As with Madoka, a condensed version would be great.

MAL insists that reviews are long and drawn out for some reason, so I've had to add this just so it'll let me submit mine.

Garo: Vanishing Line is a fun anime with fantastic style that unfortunately just lasts too long.

The visuals are great, the concept entertaining and the soundtrack is so good, it's the best part of many scenes. However, the many episodic side stories mean it's all repeated too often, allowing it to go stale before the end.

Once the show starts to get boring, it's a lot easier to notice the poor writing and inconsistencies, as well as more difficult to forgive them.

There's a lot of fanservice in this but it's all western-friendly, only adult characters. The humour isn't great but it does keep the show from getting ...

Hisone to Maso-tan is a relaxing, feelgood anime, a bit different to most others. It has a charming style but the story, setting and characters are all pretty poor.

It's about adults, but so much about the characters, the way they look, sound and behave, is childlike that the fan service, which there is a bit of throughout the show, is a bit unsettling.

On the whole, Hisone to Maso-tan is enjoyable enough, it's a nice change of pace with a few laughs here and there, but I wouldn't recommend it because of the poor writing and the creepy fan service.

Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shinai is a school-romance but it doesn't feel rehashed, it's quite atmospheric and even charming at times. The characters, plot and story are all cliched but the show as a whole somehow isn't.

There's no sexualisation and it's very light on fan service, you can avoid it all by skipping ahead 4 minutes at the midway point of episode 5 and you won't miss anything important.

The show is consistently funny but obnoxiously annoying in places too. It’s ridiculous in many ways but it's not always clear whether that's intentional.

Despite being a slice of life, the story it tells has a very clear ...

Grancrest Senki is easy to watch, well animated, fast paced and has practically no flashbacks. There's nothing you'd be ashamed to show your parents, it's about adults and there's very little fan service.

However, the setting is very game-like (to the point it might actually be better as a game) and the characters are pretty two dimensional. It also comes off as a bit pretentious with no comic relief.

Its pace means it rarely gets boring but the lack of depth to characters means there's not much to care about.

I would only recommend it if you've already watched a lot of anime and just want something that's ...
