Synopsis:
After being raped by her teacher Kazuma Yuri committed suicide, which compelled her brother (Kazuma Waku) avenge his sister. For the crime of murder, Waku spent seven years in prison. I have read through chapter 7 and enjoyed it so far.
Plot (10/10):
The author has constructed a clear, convincing, and compelling manga with a recognizable main arc of conflict, crisis, and resolution. The author has constructed a plot that is interesting and novel for a manga. More specifically, after his little sister was raped and she killed herself, her brother took revenge and killed her rapist (her teacher) in return. Seven years later the boy's released from prison, determined to kill himself due to insufferable guilt and depression until he happens to confront the rapist's daughter at his sister's grave. This is a tragic tale of guilt and atonement.
Theme (9/10):
“Saihate ni Madou” is a masterpiece about psychological tragedy where a man is trying to come to terms with his past and the effect put into mental recuperation (feelings of guilt, shame, and depression), reintegration into society, and the challenges he faces to rebuild a family which includes his mother and the daughter of the man he murdered. This is a truly heartwarming story with a lot of depressing and dark undertones. The theme and plot of this manga are both conflicts driven.
Characterization (10/10):
The author creates characters that are unique and memorable with complex and sometimes dark personalities. The reader finds themselves rooting for the protagonist as he is trying to atone for his past. The author is very adept at character development that is spread throughout the manga. The dialogue of the characters utilized throughout the manga is distinct to the characters age and mood.
Art & Setting (9/10):
“Saihate ni Madou” is done in the Seinen art style which has a more mature theme, with realistic character designs with a deep complex storyline. The artwork in the manga is very well drawn with the settings having clean lines and appropriate for the action and placement of the characters actions that are being depicted, without any anachronisms.
Mechanics (9/10):
I do not speak Japanese but in the translated version that I read, it was very easy to follow and understand what was happening without any spelling, grammatical, and punctuation errors.
Passion (10/10):
The author is adept at making you care about the drama that is occurring in the manga. The plot and theme of the manga are interesting in that the protagonist is constantly dealing with psychological issues related to past tragedies.

Synopsis:
Our story opens with the protagonist (Rudo) rifling through the trash to save anything that he deems useful or valuable. The world Rudo lives in is a class-based society divided between the haves (wealthy townspeople) and the have-nots (those in the slums). This stark division has come to be accepted in this world because legends state that the have-nots were originally criminals. In this world, it is easy to be cast out of society as a criminal due to the strict regulations governing every aspect of life, this would include trash (in this world, it is illegal to recycle anything deemed as trash). rummages through the town's trash in search of anything useful or valuable to save from the "Abyss"(a massive hole where anything considered trash is dumped, including people), while ignoring the warnings from those around him. When Rudo was little his father was accused of murder and tossed into the Abyss after which a friend of his father's (Legto) took him in.
One day, as Rudo was headed home he ran into a mysterious figure, upon arriving at home he found Legto's dying body on the floor and was immediately found by the guards and charged with his foster father's death. No one would listen to Rudo as he professes his innocence and as punishment is thrown into the Abyss. Upon waking up at the bottom of the Abyss he learns that he's on the surface of the planet and the world that he's always known is a floating city that dumps its waste onto this lower world. As a result of contamination and death, the trash has started coming to life in the form of giant monsters that are tough to kill. Needless to say, the people on the surface of the planet aren't happy to see Rudo (a sky person). With a bit of persuasion, Rudo joins a group called the "Janitors" in hopes of finding a way back to the flying city to get revenge on Legto's killer.
Originality: 7
The storyline has at least a couple of ideas that I haven’t encountered before and adds a unique twist. More specifically, the idea of writing about an overpowered main character, a character who is hated by society and worth very little to become someone with great power, and fight for what is right is not new. However, to develop this character in a world with a class-based society, ruled over by the rich who have left their ancestral homes for a clean floating city with strict regulations and the surface they left becoming devasted by the contamination adds a unique twist.
Plot: 8
The author has constructed a clear, convincing, and compelling storyline with a recognizable arc of conflict, crisis, and resolution. More specifically, the protagonist is falsely accused of a crime and punished for it. This creates an obstacle to finding his foster father's murderer as he finds himself on the planet's surface, which is a challenging problem that the protagonist must overcome. As the manga progresses there exists an ever-increasing amount of tension as the protagonist must fight to survive in this new world. As I am currently reading Volume 10 Chapter 84 the resolution has not been addressed yet but based on the plot so far I have high hopes for an innovative, credible, and authentic resolution.
Theme: 7
The theme is present but not thoroughly integrated into the other elements of the story, such as the plot and characters. While exploring themes of fear, corruption, survival, tragedy, and the supernatural, "Gachiakuta" delves into the complexities of class-based society and the struggles of the weak to survive as they make a living on the waste of the high society. Through nuanced character development and intricate storytelling, the manga provides a stark yet empathetic glimpse into the life of Rudy who was initially a weak slum dweller who rises to be a great hero.

The author fully and richly develops characters through art, dialogue, and action and does not rely on telling you about the character. The characters (main and support) are memorable with unique and complex personalities. As a result of the complex nature of the characters, the reader typically has positive emotions for the characters. The main character drives the action of the manga. Art, Setting, and Atmosphere: 9
The author vividly and accurately draws the settings so you are fully immersed in the time place and action of the manga. The setting is an integral part of the story and contributes to the mood and emotions of the characters. The characters are drawn in the Shonen art style where the characters have highly stylish outfits and easily recognizable, colorful hairstyles with less of an emphasis on the irises of the eyes and more on the shape. The settings are drawn in a believable and realistic format which is appropriate to the action of the characters.

I do not speak Japanese but in the translated version that I read, it was very easy to follow and understand what was happening. The vocabulary was acceptable but did not serve to make the manga unique. There were few but not many spelling, grammatical, or punctuation errors.

The manga was okay. I chuckled in parts or thought that certain scenes were poignant, but overall I probably won’t remember many details. The manga "Even If the World Is Over It's Fun to Live" follows Yakone a miniature human who is traveling with a large hamster-like creature (Yago) and a round drone (Ney). She is traveling through a world that is being altered by the red fog. During her travels, she tames a Slime (Sora) and befriends an Adandara (large cat). So far this manga has remained true to the protagonist being weak (currently on Chapter 22) while retaining her previous life memories. Synopsis:
After being relentlessly bullied the MC decides to isolate himself in his bedroom where he dies after five long years. The MC (Haruto) obtains a Fenrir (Fley) as a familiar and is rescued by a relative (Margave Gordo) from the forest. There are a few time skips in the manga but they don't detract from the main plot of the story. After nine years we find that he has a younger sister (Charlotte) and a mother (Natalie). Even though Haruto says he wants to live a peaceful life we find that he often takes on various adversaries to save various members of his family or because he can't say no to Charlotte (believes that he is a hero of justice).

The idea of an overpowered isakei isn't original not even being reborn into a royal family and then being discarded is a new concept. The unique twist that this author has presented us with is that the protagonist truly believes that he is weak but still doesn't want to disappoint his younger sister.

The plot of the manga is constructed with a clear, concise, and compelling storyline that has a recognizable main arc with a convincing conflict and crisis. Throughout the storyline, there are several obstacles for the protagonist to overcome, such as the several mini-arcs (i.e. stopping the real mother, finding an attendant for Haruto to attend school, stopping a senior at school...) all with their conflicts, crises, and resolutions.

The art style of "Am I Actually the Strongest?" was done in the Shoujo style, with the characters being drawn with slender bodies, delicate facial features, and big, expressive eyes. The manga does have some anachronisms. More specifically, the use of the internet. Haruto connects the world that he is in with the internet from Earth through his Barrier magic so that he and Charlotte can watch anime.

Synopsis:
One day as the MC (Itami Youji - an Otakou), was making his way to the Doujinshi festival in Tokyo in the Akihabara district of Japan, a gate opened in the middle of the Ginza district of Tokyo. Out of the gate poured soldiers and strange creatures (typical of monsters from a Dungeons and Dragons game), and began acting the Japanese citizens. Upon arriving in the new world they soon discover that the local inhabitants have set up an ambush that would prove to be a fatal mistake for the empire. After setting up a military base at the Gate it didn't take long before Itami was sent out on a mission to investigate this new land. In the beginning, they find that this new world looks similar to Earth with the inhabitants being mostly human. On their journey, they encounter ferocious dragons and conflict between the JSDF and the Empire. Itami will recruit several local females (i.e. elves (wood & Dark), demi-gods, and human mages) into his group. Through Itami's travels, he will learn what dangers exist for the JSDF in this New World.

As an example; Itami is an otaku who has also accomplished gaining the ranger and special forces tab's in the military. His otaku side is thrilled that he gets to explore a unique new world that has swords and sorcery with the ability to meet and interact with demi-humans (elves, demi-gods, and cat people...). On the other hand, Itami is a soldier in the military with a talent for surviving during the most adverse conditions. He has also demonstrated that he can accomplish great feats, which helps when he ignores or goes against direct orders. As a result of the complex nature of the characters, the reader is typically torn between both positive and negative emotions for the MC. Throughout the manga, the dialogue contributes to the rich and vivid world created in GATE. The one problem that I had with this manga was that the characters tended to pick up foreign languages fairly fast and didn't struggle much.
Art, Setting, and Atmosphere: 7
The art style of Gate was done in the Seinen style, with the characters being drawn in a more realistic design, with much more details than other manga art styles. The colors tend to be darker as well since this manga art style tends to portray deep and complex storylines that are harder to grasp. The settings tend to be appropriate for the world that the characters are in and for the action that is occurring. The manga does have some anachronisms. More specifically, the use of electrical equipment in the new world where electricity doesn't exist. I understand the use of generators for electricity but the use of cell phones without adequate cell tower coverage would be impossible.
Mechanics: 8
I do not speak Japanese but in the translated version that I read, it was very easy to follow and understand what was happening with little to no spelling, grammatical, and punctuation errors. However, they did not distract from the enjoyment of the manga and it was easy to understand what was meant.
Passion: 9
The author is very adept at making you care about what ultimately becomes of the protagonist throughout the manga. The plot and theme of the manga are interesting in that the protagonist travels to another world through a GATE which allows him to return home at any time.

Synopsis:
This is an isekai where the MC was originally born as a commoner who gave his all to be a magician but lacked the talent for it. Because he rubbed the nobles the wrong way they burned him to death. The MC made one final wish and that was to study and master magic. The gods answered his wish and he was reborn as the 7th prince of Saloom. At an early age (~10) the MC (Prince Lloyd) was showing promise in both magic and swordsmanship. Lloyd discovers that a Majin is sealed in a Grimoir in the forbidden library, then he releases the Majin

names him Grimoir, and makes him his familiar. Lloyd's main goal is to research and master more magic as his journey through life progresses.
Originality (6/10):
Tensei Shitara Dainana-ouji Dattanode, Kimama ni Majutsu wo Kiwamemasu by Kokuzawa, Yousuke (Art), and Kenkyo na Circle (Story) presents an original manga. However, it doesn't have a lot of originality in that the story is somewhat predictable because the MC is overpowered and when he fights in these small battles the outcomes are always the same.
Plot (6/10):
The plot is constructed in a clear, convincing, and compelling way with a lot of mini-arcs and lots of conflict, crisis, and resolution. However, the obstacles in each of the mini arcs are not that challenging to the protagonist and it lacks the buildup of any tension in the main storyline.
Theme (7/10):
The central theme throughout the story is that if you search long enough and make a large enough effort you will eventually become strong. The theme is prominent throughout the manga with the storyline being more reaction-driven. More specifically, the MC tends to just react to one crisis after another.
Character Development (9/10):
The characters are believable and memorable, the characters are unique and complex with lots of individuality. You tend to root for the side characters as the MC is just too overpowered.
Art, Setting, and Atmosphere (8/10):
Lloyd is a typical shonen protagonist in that he exudes determination, a strong sense of justice, and a desire to become more powerful. Lloyd has a knack for making friends and rallying them to overcome various obstacles throughout the manga. The author strives to keep the setting relevant to the time of monarchs with Kings, Queens, Castles, Knights, nobles, the Church, and commoners. However, at times I find that the depictions in the manga are cluttered or crowded with no anachronisms. The artist and author have a knack for depicting battle scenes in color, which adds a slight twist to this manga in that it ends up making a lot of the manga being published in color.
Mechanics (8/10):
I do not speak Japanese but in the translated version that I read, it was very easy to follow and understand what was happening without any spelling, grammatical, and punctuation errors. The words are used correctly and in the margin are translator notes to explain if something is left untranslated or common in Japanese and not in English.
Passion (6/10):
The author is very adept at making you care about what ultimately becomes of the side characters through the actions of the protagonist throughout the manga. The plot and theme of the manga are interesting in that the protagonist is constantly searching for new magic and tends to find it when he encounters strong foes.

Synopsis:
After dying in a car accident, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated in another world as an intelligent sword (Master). After accepting his fate as a sword, he begins to level up and gain skills by adsorbing monster crystals for his future wielder. After defeating some monsters Master realized that the world he reincarnated in had the same mechanics as the games he played while on Earth. Master saves a young black cat girl from a life of slavery (Fran), after she pulls him out of the cursed land, she becomes his wielder. Together they set out on their journey so Fran can evolve.

The author has constructed a clear, convincing, and compelling manga with a recognizable main arc of conflict, crisis, a resolution. The author has spread several obstacles within multiple mini-arcs that challenge the protagonist. So far the resolutions for the mini-arcs are innovative, credible, and authentic.
Theme (8/10):
“Reincarnated as a Sword” contains the central themes of overcoming racism, becoming stronger, and mentor–teacher relationships. After being discriminated against, abused, and made a slave, during her short life, Fran strives to become stronger, with the support of Master, so that she can evolve. The theme and plot of the manga are both conflict-driven.
Characterization (10/10):
The author creates characters that are unique and memorable with complex personalities. The reader finds themselves rooting for the protagonist as she is constantly being underestimated due to her race. The author is very adept at character development that is spread throughout the manga. The dialogue of the characters utilized throughout the manga is distinct from the character's social standing.
Art & Setting (9/10):
“Reincarnated as a Sword” is done in the Kemono style of artistry which includes drawing characters anthropomorphically, more specifically human-like characters with animal features (i.e. cat ears). The settings are typically drawn with clean lines that are appropriate for the action and placement of the characters being depicted, without any anachronisms.
Mechanics (9/10):
