In one overly lengthy sentence:
A somewhat non-directional and puzzling plot inception carried by my morbid curiosity along with interest in genres tagged, followed by a promising and intriguing development of the storytelling and, hence, natural inveiglement, proceeded to build up to a painful, messy, nonsensical climax finished by another perplexing conclusion, having only real thing accomplishing a recurring and completed cycle of utter confusion, resulting in dissatisfied feeling and a subpar, under average grade as modestly presented by yours truly.
Thank you for reading my sentence which I made as bewildering as possible, just like how was the film.

I'm wondering what's happening with slice of life shows lately.
It's as if anime producers had a secret consensus, and on it they decided they'll sneak in non-existent plot into shows, and focus on making money with as little effort as possible. News flash: just because a show has slice of life genre in it, it doesn't allow it to be boring to the point of being a comatose-inducing drug.
I can give you endless examples of other shows being super interesting regardless of main theme simply tracking a character or characters' lives or other barely existing plot examples. Wotakoi went off rails with plot less than

mid-way through, and decided to show filler episodes instead.
Now, I haven't read the manga and perhaps it's different in it, but it doesn't excuse the poor, or rather, a complete lack of pacing and direction, resulting in my lack of engagement.
Slightly annoying factor is that the shows such as this one somehow get a pass by an average person's critique and are now considered quality shows, when they are not. I get that by making the setting as uncomplicated as possible, you know, just a regular present day, no supernatural circumstances, or no deep psychological battle mysteries like known to all Death Note, no melodrama or different harem routes, none of that shit, it's guaranteed to avoid pretty much any illogical executions, events, inconsistencies or plot holes, like many action series suffer from for example, but there's no excuse for having a lack of guidance altogether and just call it quits.
Atmosphere is lovely, characters are sympathetic, it's bundled in nice, shiny wrappings, the overall presentation is great, yet it ultimately fails to deliver any conclusion, it's too tedious and lacks life. I'm sorry but this will not go unnoticed by some people, myself included.
I don't hate this show by a long shot, but I don't know how and/or why do these types of shows always leave a bad taste in my mouth.

It sucks - 9/10
This is a perfect review of the series.
Manga is pretty much on point until it passes roughly ~80% of work. Most of the read is extremely enjoyable, fun, exciting, intense, erotic, feel-good experience that I had pleasure of familiarizing myself with for (almost) three days, before the work started showing signs of injury on better part of last day. Crazy adventures, situations, troubles, laughs and disasters our cast goes through in their lives is pretty much the definition of youth everyone would like to experience, maybe, to their own risk. Then, sadly, two things happen.
1) Prolongation
2) Bad ending
First, it draws out,

for a while, then, as many already said, worst ending happens, essentially enraging everyone and justly so. Why? Because it's not a proper ending, you can't even call it one. To be frank, it's so silly (in a bad way) I'm not even taking it as a genuine conclusion. It's just not believable whatsoever and it should be disregarded as such. That is not to say I'm attempting to delude myself into not accepting Akira Hiramoto's decision-making. It's there, yes, yet it can always be altered, buuuuuuuuuuut, that's the writer's duty, not mine.
Anyway, the ending itself is completely irrelevant in my eyes and I'd like to mention that if there was a reconstruction of aforementioned remaining 20% (to the better, of course), more precisely when the story started dragging, it would be 11/10 in a heart beat, that's how amazing the manga was. I shall mention several concise spoilers at the bottom of this text for few who wish to understand exactly why people dislike it so much without indulging into reading it all.
Now, I shall briefly display all volumes' ratings:
arc 1 - 10/10 - vol 1. - vol 9. <-- anime adaptation(ch. 1-88)

arc 4 - 1/10 - vol 28. <-- a complete catastrophe (ch. 269-277)
(22*10)+(6*2)+7+(6*2)+1/28=9.0 = 9/10
So, overall, we can conclude it's a great series, though, when ending is included, it ruins all work invested, and severely cripples established impression and rightly so.
Lastly, I shall now mention what I was dying to mention this whole time, and my overall perception on the whole thing. Those of you who do not wish to be spoiled and wish to read/continue reading the manga, which I still firmly believe it's worthy of such an action, please cease to feast your eyes on this God-given gift of content, and derail your attention elsewhere.
!CAUTION!WARNING! Spoilers ahead !CAUTION!WARNING!
Basically, while digesting from vol. 26 ahead there were so many errors it's not even worth hairsplitting every detail. I'll just mention 'no-no' moments which pop into my mind as I'm writing.
Mari vanishes without explanation and she's essentially never touched upon again, even though she's one of the main characters. Mari mentions she's dropping from school around end. No explanation. She was my favorite character and for some of you as well. Let that sink in.
None of the boys or girls are confirmed to end up together, it's simply left vague and unclear. Only pair that is successful out of all people is with Risa and that disgusting slob Andre.
No epic last scene wet t-shirt event or no full cast happily hanging around some sort of barbeque, beach or whatever.
Oh and the whole Chairman arc was unnecessary filler, if you just had him appear towards the climax of cavalry battle, it would take away nothing from the experience.
Most importantly, who does Kiyoshi end up with? It's what everyone wonders, right? When it comes to Mari, it's just discontinued like it never existed. Kiyoshi rejects Hana at very end and successfully confesses love to and is accepted by Chiyo but in such a repulsive, rushed and forced fashion it feels crappy, like a punch to the gut. To be honest, it was clear whoever Kiyoshi ends up with wasn't gonna satisfy everyone because the writer himself couldn't decide, nor care. Obviously, he would end up with one of them and whoever shipped one of the other two would be left, at least, pouting at the result, which is an okay, acceptable solution. Hell, I'd even be okay with harem ending. But even after that, KiyoshixChiyo also failed, because, well, because Kiyoshi wore Hana's panties, and that was too much for Chiyo. And, then, Chiyo becomes man-hater - the End. This... This, this was just sacrilege. After delaying this finale for two volumes just to not deliver it properly at all, it's better to scrap the whole thing and wish for a better end. Manga felt like it needed two-three more volumes at the very least though preferably, say, five volumes and a better, not forced, but smooth and satisfying finish which it failed to deliver.

To be honest, I went into this movie with zero(geddit?) expectations. What proceeded was me being absolutely blown away by the magnitude of what ensued. It was as if someone sneaked in when I expected the least and surprised me with one of the most magnificent stories I've seen lately. That's how I could summarize the experience of watching this movie. felt like the plot itself was underestimating its worth throughout the film and I was bothered at the idea of returning to its inferior shell(original tv show). I'm still a little befuddled and stumbling for words, that's how you know you've just seen a masterpiece. I feel like further words would be unnecessary, other than it's truly a must-see work of art, don't miss it.

Funny story: the one who wanted to watch this was my mom, she chose it initially because of the avatar-profile-picture or whatever that's called (guy with a clenched fiery fist).
I was just glad she wanted to watch anything in general, so we hopped right in. It wasn't what she expected, but she enjoyed it nonetheless.
It's silly, it's lighthearted and so cliche it's actually funny. There is a scene at the beginning where it opens with main trio walking on the street, then suddenly, next shot, bunch of guys in black get kicked out from a club, they leave one of them behind, and as that

guy hops on his motorcycle to rejoin the rest, one of the guys of the trio just punches him in the face for no apparent reason and then chaos ensues. It was so random that it made us laugh hard and we rewatched the scene over and over again. That's just the first one at the beginning, many more silly moments like that one happen.
You'd think that would have a negative impact on the story, but just the contrary, it was hilarious. Anime never takes itself seriously and it's reminiscent of 90's action comedy shows. In fact, I believe it originates as a video game made in early 90s, I remember playing a version of the game called Fatal Fury or something along those lines for DOS system in Europe back when I was a kid. I'd never say that 15 years later I'll watch an anime with the same characters in it. Small world isn't it?
Music's awesome, very high energy funky rock music, art's very video game like, not anime typical art at all, I don't mean it in a negative way, just don't expect conventional artwork.
Anyways just as I finished the anime I can say it's a satisfying anime with some clear flaws. Cliches are still cliches, and sometimes they don't get away ignored, they ruin the overall picture when occasionally anime tries to be something more. Story and characters are generic, and you can never say it's a masterpiece with a straight face, because it's not and this type of show never will be.

The purpose of this review will be to hopefully shed some light on how great this Chinese cartoon really is, therefore this review will contain both seasons of Monster List.
Just finished watching the second season and I cannot believe the negative bias surrounding this anime, judging from first season's reviews. With a rating of only 6.73 of first season(7.13 of second) as of writing this review, this anime is criminally underrated. With any luck, that will change for the better.

separate one from another, just as you would expect from such a series, and I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. It's just so easy to get into, and to digest it, again very fluid, amusing. The atmosphere is very lighthearted and colorful, though it gets sad at times, which provides viewer with heartfelt feelings of joy and sadness. Nothing feels insincere, artificial or cringy, which is a big plus in my book. The series exceptionally show great promise when it ended in such a fashion that it makes you crave for more.
Only real downside, which I personally had absolutely no problem with, would be the obviously inferior voice acting, it sounds much less impactful comparing to an anime with Japanese voice actors. This is a Chinese anime, after all, and debatably, artwork feels more of a mediocre quality rather than what standard modern Japanese anime artwork looks like, though, again, in my opinion looks just fine, not 'mediocre'.
Openings and endings of the show are very enjoyable, even more so the second season. Both seasons have episodes slightly shorter than your usual 20 min run-time, so you can pass through the seasons quicker than you may anticipate.
I'm very eagerly anticipating third season, for more joyful moments and crazy adventures of our cast.

I'm sorry, but this anime is simply atrocious.
I honestly don't understand the appeal of Fate/Zero at all. It's been praised by so many and it has a really high rating, however, I just can't stomach it. Mind you, there are some minor spoilers of first four episodes just to be able to shed light on why I rated the show so low without being automatically reported. Not that it won't happen regardless.
First episode has to be the most boring, pointless episode I ever watched. Absolutely no effort was made to spark the interest of the viewer or to summarize the story properly. It threw at

you an enormous amount of information about many miscellaneous things in an incredibly monotonous voice and without any proper order. Throughout the entire episode there was nothing that kept me engaged whatsoever. As if I'm supposed to be intrigued and eagerly listen to ominous, rambling, mumbling old men in robes telling us something of great importance is coming.
Second episode had some seriously annoying and edgy characters introduced. Waver Velvet - incredibly annoying character who all he does is whine in a super annoying voice. Waver Velvet's familiar or whatever it's called, the summoned guy, the 'i'm the strongest'. *googles* Rider, right. Awful character. And he has over 5000 favorites?
Then we got the edgy scene where they brutally kill a kid with apparently some straight out of hentai tentacles to appear to be dark and serious. Then I realized, this show must have been made for fourteen year olds, and reading through the comments nothing was more obvious than that. "This got so dark!" or "Giglamesh is so cool!" were some of the comments I encountered.
Ah, yes, you dear naive teen, just wait five years when you realize how bad one-dimensional characters Ryuunosuke Uryuu (literally read his description) and Caster (I'm evil cuz I'm evil! Fear me!) are.
At this point I was already exhausted from nauseating boredom and cringing from awfully designed characters, but I decided not to give up yet, because I believed there had to be something interesting about the show. The fight scenes must be beyond interesting, should be absolutely ecstatic, I'm sure, because that's the reason so many people praise the series. I was deeply disappointed.
To be honest, I didn't even remember the third episode even though I just watched it so I went to skip through it again just to remind myself what was happening in it. Ah, yes, we were following the life of aforementioned Waver and Rider, more old men in robes mumbling and towards end apparently some affair got revealed, at which point I couldn't care less about. I watched it three times and haven't remembered a thing, that's how much of an intriguing episode it was.
Final episode I watched before deciding to throw this back into abyss, was FINALLY some actual action. That's right, ladies and gentlemen, and dear slaughtered children. Something was actually happening in this episode, besides idle chat or boring monotonous speeches. Unfortunately, sixty seconds in I realized I'm not going to have fun watching it nor I am planning on continuing the anime past this point. The first fight was turned into a series of inner and outer monologues and made my immersion completely impossible and I couldn't keep bearing it.
I tried to like this anime, I tried watching it three times, but I cease here. This anime is simply not for me. If I were to summarize it in one word, I'd have to use the word 'childish'.

This is probably the only anime I watched that starts out very poorly first few episodes only to get increasingly better with each consecutive episode.
To be honest, I did fast forward/skip through some parts of first three-four episodes since they seemed nauseatingly boring at times, and I had planned to drop the anime once I made sure there was nothing in it for me, but I'm glad I stuck around.
At start, the animation looked weird, and it remained under average through the anime. From the title alone, Konbini Kareshi, you can tell what the plot of the anime will vaguely be, however it has a

few aces in its sleeve that will get revealed later in the story as to why it got that name. The characters started out bland, almost indistinguishable one from another, especially the male ones(they even got similar hairstyles), however they(inc. males) receive decent development afterwards. Character interactions were somewhat cringy at the beginning but later improved. Music is also surprisingly enjoyable and it fits the mood well, again, especially at later parts. I do like that they were very consistent with the fairy tale they used as a metaphor throughout.
I think you get the idea and understand my first point from reading my second paragraph about what I meant. It's one of those anime that you need to grind a bit to get to the good part.
For an anime that as of writing this review has only 6.34 rating, it definitely has a lower grade than it deserves. They are quite a few melodies I fancied but having trouble downloading illeg- uh... I mean, buying it, since the anime isn't very popular with barely over 30k members as of writing the review. We'll see how many it gets over time and whether the rating will, hopefully, improve.
One thing I should definitely mention is if you're looking for a decent romance anime, it is satisfactory. It may not be the next Toradora, Maid-sama or Clannad, but it's definitely worth your time, in my humble opinion.

This is the most cringey, edgy, 'look how deep and conflicted I am', garbage I've ever set my eyes upon. Absolutely no decency, no self-respect, no genuinety, no common sense, no nothing.
It's just another reminder of a perpetually morally bankrupting society nowadays. Thanks!
Characters are terrible - contrived, unlikable, and honestly just plain disgusting. No, I would not passionately make out with a random stranger as a substitute for my unrequited love. I guess that's just me, though. Throw in bunch of forbidden unrequited love (student-teacher, incest, lesbianism) in and envelop it with 'passion', a.k.a. perversion and you got yourself Kuzu no Honkai. And what's with

I noticed there are many hate reviews regarding this show, I decided to make one defending it and explaining its brilliance instead, which some of you have missed, or hate it because it's popular to do so (as with SAO).
A fat boy turns a muscular young man after being rejected as a kid and plots revenge on the girl who broke his heart. Right away I experienced Nisekoi vibes mixed with Maid-sama and sprinkled with a little bit of Oreairu.
Firstly, there's an abundance of absolutely hilarious scenes throughout the anime, his mom being a 'loli hag' is just one of the examples. All the girls

in the anime are extremely likable and have a character of their own and the main girl characters get plenty of backstory, even the ones not introduced in the show from beginning. Voice actresses are superb as always, my personal favorite is Yoshino's - hits the tone in any given situation supremely.
The atmosphere is very cheerful and colors are bright and vibrant, generating a pleasant and soothing ambience for laugh inducing and embarrassing situations to flourish. The sound further embellishes the enjoyable feel the series create.
Coupled with the fact the MC is a unique character and has a nuance feel about him is very refreshing. Think of him as a combination of Kanie (Amaburi) and Arata (Trinity 7). I like his way of dealing with situations. I like how he gets things done and dares doing what most harem leads never do, but going in details would spoil the show. Super refreshing and a pretty much a contrast to what people familiarized with harem know how a generic male lead acts.
This is also one of few anime that caters to the audience of leg enthusiasts, more specifically tights/pantyhose enthusiasts and it's further emphasized by the art of the show and follows with lots of fanservice on the aforementioned... enthusiasm.
Only thing I had a problem with was towards the end the story sort of dragged out, but that was pretty much diminished by the obvious indication of the continuation, an upcoming sequel or perhaps more.
I understand the point of view of some people who dislike story not progressing fast, but that's exactly the goal of the series. You're here for the fill, to experience as many ups and downs following the protagonist's path and having a great time doing so rather than arriving at its ultimate resolve promptly.
In conclusion, if you like good romance harems, like the shows I mentioned and agree with most of the arguments I presented, this show is definitely for you.
