With the title you'd think that this Manga will be about Sex and the Supernatural -- it is not. I'd say it will be more on Romantic-Supernatural-Horror.
Art will be okay since pages are in b/w. I cannot really say more about it.
Chapter 1: Fallen Women - The price people pay for beauty. Simple story and a little predictable.
Chapter 2: Rose Colored Happiness - Good twist in the middle but lacking in basis for the ending. Ending felt rushed and kinda confusing.
Chapter 3: Hotaru is Waiting - Light-kinda comedy with a bittersweet ending. Very nicely done (aww, shucks!)
Chapter 4: Shinigami Shiiku - The only

chapter with [mild] sex in it. Characters kinda reminded me of Kimi ni Todoke. Probably my favorite chapter since it got a happy ending.
Chapter 5: Transient Future - Had the best story of the bunch and would probably be great as an anime. Unexpected but very satisfying ending.
Glad I stumbled upon this one since it was worth reading.
Recommended to someone looking for a quick horror fix :)

I have not really thought much about the animes I watch. There are some I loved, some I just liked and some that I just found A-OK. I mean, all were meant to entertain and I appreciate every single one of them.
Now, how I wish all of them would be as good as this one.
Aoi Bungaku is divided into 6 stories and each one of them has its own charm. Each has its own style of art and it makes the story unique on a different level.
Story #1 : No Longer Human - This may be the darkest of all the stories, and is the

longest one. It revolves around a man who just cannot seem to find his true purpose (well, at least that's how i see it).
Story #2 : In The Woods Beneath the Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom - At first, I thought that it was a comedy/musical of some sort. It is the least serious of all the stories but it is as thought provoking as the last.
Story #3 : Kokoro - The lovestory with a very interesting approach to it. Its unconventional storytelling is what makes it so moving.
Story #4 : Run, Melos - The usual story about friendship told in a not-so-usual way (seems like a story is encompassed within a story)
Story #5 : The Spider's Thread - Bloody and Jigoku-Shoujo-kind of creepy
Story #6 : Hell Screen - Somewhat connected to #5 --- Eye-Opening Art indeed!
I will not go to lengths and over-analyze. All I can say is that this is highly recommended and I would leave the others to just see it for themselves.
Personal Preferences: Kokoro (best story) and Run, Melos (best art)

It's like Final Destination meets Battle Royale.
I score everything an 8.
The plot revolves around a curse on Class 3 of a middle school where there appears to be always an extra student in the roster but the people cannot figure out who it is. Once the curse starts, a lot of people die. The only solution they could think of is to treat one student as if he/she does not exist. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. And this time around, it did not work.

Misaki who are the main protagonists. They build some sort of relationship but not the romantic type. The supporting characters are given attention too. There were some scenes where I almost dozed off since there were a lot of talk and no action going on. But when the deaths started that is where I really took notice. The deaths were gruesome and shocking, it might even make some people sick to the stomach. Good thing I love these kinds of stuff and it really was engaging to watch.
As far as the story goes, I think they were able to explain it just fine. Some details were too much to take in though and I had to rewind it to get it. It also made me feel sorry for the students since you could really understand their desperation, anguish, frustration and fright. This anime left me guessing until the very end.
Highly recommended for someone who likes suspense and can take anime gore. :)

I must admit that I almost stopped watching this anime after seeing 2-3 episodes. The only thing that made me watch it every week was the cool art. The animation was awesome! I am glad that I continued with it because I liked this anime a lot!
Story: 8 - It was confusing at the beginning. I actually had trouble grasping where it was headed to. After the first half, it got better and the story began to unfold. Simple though it may be, I don't have any complaints. Kings vs Kings and Subordinates vs Subordinates. Ending was unexpectedly poignant.
Art: 9 - Like I said,

animation was awesome. I loved the colors, the scenes, the hair, the eyes and the movement.
Sound: 8 - OP theme was better than the ED theme. BGM was alright too. OP was a little haunting but fast-paced. ED had a sad tone to it.
Character: 7 - I just wish that they gave more depth to the characters. With 13 episodes, there is no room for growth for the others and it is a little frustrating. I wanted to know more about them.
Enjoyment and My Overall Score: 8 - I always base my thoughts/opinion about an anime after the last episode. The reason for my score is that for me the anime was able to redeem itself from the slow start. It also left me wanting more. It might not be perfect but I don't think it deserves the crap it's getting.
No Blood! No Bone! No Ash! I will be looking forward to the second season! :)

I'll take a jab on one of the most hated/loved animes I've seen here in MAL.
1st Arc: 9 / 2nd Arc: 7
My Overall Score: 8
My thoughts on the 1st Arc :
- It had a very interesting plot. Since I have not watched any other anime with a virtual reality theme, there is nothing to compare it to.
...
- Animation/Art was beautiful
- I loved Kirito and Asuna. The supporting characters were just alright. Every girl in the virtual world had a thing for Kirito-kun and I kinda get it. Evil players were downright evil. I was like hating them as well.
- Dramatic scenes got me -- I almost cried in some parts (almost!)
- OP and ED songs were fantastic! Downloaded them in no time at all
- It ended abruptly and I was not expecting it...
My thoughts on the 2nd Arc:
- After 2 or 3 episodes in this Arc, I was like "HUH?! What the hell is happening!?"
- Too many fan service involving Sugu
- Irksome relationship between Kazuto/Kirito and Sugu
- Still loved the OP and ED songs
- I was satisfied with the last fight scene though it did not have the same effect as the one in the 1st Arc
All in all, I enjoyed watching SAO. I wish they just made 2 seasons instead of cutting it into arcs. I wanted more of the 'when you die in the game, you die in reality' feel to it. It was more suspenseful to watch (wishing no one else dies, of course!).
The ending does not have the "wow!" or "awww" factor for me but I think they made the most of it.

With a different sounding title, apparently Italian, I was expecting a dark and action-packed anime. What I got was slow, cheesy, unfocused, and overly dramatic storytelling.
Powers involving the cards from a Tarot deck seemed promising; A duel to decide who will rule the whole clan was intriguing. I felt cheated after watching the whole thing. The best parts of the anime might just be the 1st and last episodes.
To give it credit, the Art was very good since everything was well-drawn. OP, ED and BGM are just okay. Characters - now I wanted to love the characters but with all the unnecessary stuff going

on, I just cannot bring myself to do so. Felicita was a very disappointing female lead. The other characters were likeable at best (I'm sorry, Debito).
I scored it lower than what I initially placed, and would not really be recommending this to others. It might even be in my 'try to avoid as much as possible' list.

Abso-freaking-lutely one of the best there is!! Doing a review and scoring it a 10 would still not do this anime justice.
OP, ED and BGM are perfect and everything were in sync. The music makes every scene and every movement more exciting!
Fast-paced story made me so impatient for the next episode! Funny and fascinating characters made me love every one of them - no point in taking sides. Art was simply awesome - smooth and slick.
Boys and Basketball - what more can a girl ask for? -- Answer: a 2nd season!!

Now I know what the buzz is all about. I was always curious about what Code Geass is and who this Lelouch character who is oftentimes compared to Light of Death Note.
I score everything a 10, except for the music, which I give a 9. 2nd OP and ED songs were better but it's the BGM that really captivates.
Art was beautiful; characters are diverse - never boring and the Mechas were kick-ass!
To keep it short, this is probably one of the best animes I've ever watched. Some animes start off real good but then falls apart in the end. Code Geass never faltered one

bit in their storyline and character development.
Unpredictable until the bittersweet ending, Code Geass is really a Masterpiece.

I said it before and I will say it again: Nurarihyon is a very sexy Yokai! In Season 2, we even get 3 Nurarihyon! woohoo!
Anyway, i'll make this short. In my opinion, Season 2 is better. I know I scored them the same but I guess i like the theme of the story here.
Season 1 concentrated on the intros and character build-up. Season 2 will be more action, some background/history and more characters. If season 1 was kinda light/funny, season 2 is all business since it is more serious.
The Good:
- Nura Rihan, Nura Rikuo, Nurarihyon
- All Action, Less Kana

- Stronger villains
The Bad:
- Very good beginning but it kinda went downhill
- Story feels rushed after eps10
- Ended abruptly
Recommended to those who watched and who are interested to watch Season 1. Looking forward to Season 3! :)

I'm surprised to see that there are no reviews for this anime. I might as well be the first (and maybe the only one) to write one.
Main Characters: Amemiya Akira and Kaname
Story: 8 - the story revolves around Akira - a beautiful, self-centered boy who thinks and acts like he is God's gift to women. He goes around screwing girls and he does not even care or show any emotions. In the series, it is said that Akira goes both ways, though we only see him having sex with girls - and maybe 1 guy at the beginning but this was not shown. He has

this "sister complex" and he constantly says that he will only love 1 woman.
Art: 9 - the art was beautiful. When they said that Akira was beautiful - they meant it. Kaname was very pretty too as well as the other cast. This anime was made in the 90's and the way they depicted the scenes was very different, it was refreshing. The H-scenes were tastefully done and were artistic (for me). Scenes were not vulgar or explicit at all, not like the new hentai.
Sound/Character: 8 - sound was just right and the female voices were not annoying. The ending song had a sweet sound to it and complimented the scene very well. Character development was there and I did not see any loopholes or anything. I think the creators were able to do each one of them some justice.
Enjoyment: 8 - I think this is the best hentai series I've seen so far - when it comes to story. I know that a lot of people might hate Akira for being an a-hole but I actually pitied the poor guy. I cannot even blame him for being how he is. He has a lot of issues and having a past like that can really mess up your head. He might be acting all high and mighty but deep down he is just someone looking for love, fulfillment and maybe acceptance. I also liked the ending since I think everyone got what they wanted and deserved (kinda).
Very highly recommended if you like beautifully drawn anime, soft-core hentai, a little love story and an intriguing storyline.
