I can't believe no one's made a recommendation for these two yet - Nanbaka and Gintama are so alike! They're both anime that parody the comedy genre. The fourth-wall breaking's a recurring theme in both, as are the references to different anime throughout the shows. The gag humour is hilarious in both - Nanbaka doesn't even try to make sense most of the time and knows it, and Gintama's humour can be very similar. The characters - even the side characters - are loveable and great fun to watch. Nanbaka does have a lot (and I mean a lot!) more sparkles and glitter - even at its emotional parts everything will still be sparkling in the background - and Gintama has its dark(ish) parts, emotional parts, and the humour's a lot cruder, but watching one really felt like watching the other. Nanbaka's short, so there's a 'why not? you might as well watch it!' factor there, and Gintama takes time to get into but is well worth the reward - if you stick with it, you'll be a devout fan by the final arc. They are definitely both acquired tastes, so not for everyone, but if you enjoyed one I'd go for the other. XD

Watching Classroom of the Elite really reminded me of Grisaia. The MCs are very similar, and the main supporting characters/harem around the MCs are similar too. Even the themes resemble each other to a large extent, both revolve around the protagonist helping a bunch of girls with their respective issues, Grisaia to a larger extent than Classroom of the Elite. Parts of the storylines in both verge towards the ridiculous. They both have a relatively large amount of unnecessary fanservice, but nice animation and sound. Classroom of the Elite does the school aspect better and focusses on the environment more, but Grisaia has better developed characters and a more complex plot overall. Grisaia is also quite a bit more mature than Classroom of the Elite. Nonetheless, if you liked one, you might as well give the other a try. XD

Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World - The Animated Series

They both have beautiful world building, and gorgeous, vibrant animation. Both tend to be quite philosophical at times (of course, Kino no Tabi more than Mahoutsukai), and have a very serene feel. Even though they're different in a lot of ways, they share the same sort of atmosphere, and are both about seeing the beauty in a confusing and often painful world. There is a lot more character development and overall plot in Mahoutsukai (Kino no Tabi is episodic), but if you like one, I'd encourage you to give the other a try. XD

Even though the plotlines themselves are quite different, this gave me the same feeling that Mahouka did. The art, the use of magic, the generally emotionless MC, the relationships between the brother and sister in both series, and the massive amount of exposition punctuated by instances of pretty neat action scenes. Zetsuen no Tempest does have more romance in than Mahouka, and the MC in Mahouka is a lot more interesting than the MC in Zetsuen, but apart from that they're very alike. If you enjoyed one, you'll probably enjoy the other. Have fun watching!
