Ultrabaroque Deprogrammer is a series that takes a very complex topic for the plot and executes it brilliantly. The story was tight and constant with amazing insights into brainwashing and how human beings think. The use of symbolism is pretty much visible from the mention of the Tower of Babel and St. Augustine both of which play a great role in understanding a lot of things. The strong point of the manga would be how it depicted the complex working of minds and expands the lore of brainwashing better than the likes of Inception. writing but they did serve well to the story nonetheless. Now let's talk about the thing that I avoided up until now "Art", it is the weakest part of the manga which might make a lot of people drop it after a few pages, especially the character art, it looks very weird at times almost like characters have some kind of genetic deformity like Down Syndrome, but also, at times the page spreads look magical too and it uses page spreads a lot which is understandable with such plot. I would say if you can look past the art initially then this series has a lot to offer from its lore about the human brain to how easy it is to get manipulated but above all it uses a few hard psychological evidences and theories to expand on it. Just to clarify what the reviewer above said the manga is most definitely completed but it does leave some space for a sequel.

Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu, the source of this anime is known to be one of the pioneers of the isekai genre but in reality, it was among those that ruined the genre and reduced it to what it is today; a den of bad fan services and horrendous beginnings. The anime starts with all kinds of perverted things. Calling it a fan service would be a huge understatement. The main protagonist is good for nothing deviant otaku in his mid-30s that gets reincarnated into a new world to do the same things but with an urge of trying to improve himself.

not ecchi but borderline hentai with many fetishes on display. The plot is pretty meh at the beginning with nothing new or interesting, the story is pretty much zero to hero with harem and the characters are just for feeling good without proper writing in place. The first 8 episodes are full of unneeded ntr, seduction, panties, master x servant, and pervert thinking scenes that amount to zero in the story progression. The anime gets somewhat better in the last 3 episodes where watchers can see the actual plot and story that is pretty fine. The art is good with great animation and good looking but minimal world building but that's all the good things it has. The sound was pretty fine with several oh-ya scenes going on.
The world-building was shown minimal but it was pretty good with thought-out scenery and creatures. The ideas of race and people were also pretty nice but not enough to value for anything when everything was butchered by horrendous beginning and unnecessary fan service.
The anime could have been a good one if the beginning was more meticulously written rather than completely depending on fan service. The characters lacked many things but some of them were fulfilled at the near end of the anime. The depth of the plot was shown but after far too late making it hard to stick to the anime. If and only if the writer did have controlled his fetishes urges this would have been a fine isekai but as it is now it will be considered with one of the horrific ones
Now talking about the moral views on this anime. This anime shows all the shitty things that exist in the moral world; from showing children naked to trying to force the way to master x servant forced way. It has everything in just 11 episodes – the last 3 are pretty clear of it. I don't consider moral views while rating an anime; I am just mentioning it so the users might know what they are getting into.
Looking at all the things this anime is nothing but an abomination with barely 3 last episodes that are watchable and have a major contribution to the story. I would not recommend anyone to watch this unless they like all kinds of fetishes being on display.

Tsuki ga Kirei is a tale of budding love between two middle schoolers. The love story has shyness, jealousy, anger, and sweetness but the thing that makes it a mediocre piece is also a dominating part of it, that's the art and animation. Character art looks horrible with very bad face shapes and the animation felt very odd.
The anime had a nice story at the very least but the execution was not on point. The forced love triangles and jealousy scene were just trying to show more of the stereotypical side of the story. The protagonists were fine but the side characters were just solely

made for jealousy or encouragement other than that they were just non-existential. The use of CGI in the background activities felt like the anime was made on a very low budget and the CGI gets more unbearable throughout the series. The anime focused solely on the part of shyness in new love but forgot many other aspects of it. A total of 8 to 9 episodes were just about shyness making it boring at one point.
The ending was well done but considering all things the anime did some things better than many other romance anime that follow the stereotypes to the letter. But in the end, the bad animation, the rough and repetitive character art, and the bad unnecessary use of CGI pulled down the whole anime and made it a pretty average series
I would recommend the series to people that don't want a very stereotypical story but keep in mind not to expect too much from it

Black Cat started as an edgy and serious anime with a mediocre plot that soon turned into a happy-to-go all after a time jump showing how amateur the writer was. The anime never had anything good to keep it going so they just start to randomly throw characters to forcefully keep the plot going. The original story was about 12 episodes long; all other episodes were just sidetracking from the main story.

development was based on the death of a character that had no point being in the anime except for that. The powers that are shown in the anime have a lot of inconsistencies and poor explanations. Eve's character that was supposed to be important was butchered so horrendously that one loses all interest in it. The random jumps in the story, all over the place plot, amateurish writing, and force character building this anime has all of it. The art was alright and the animation was pretty nice but these were the only positive things about the anime
There were hints of intriguing things in the few last episodes but once again the horrific writing skills destroyed all the momentum. At times it seems the writer tries to put everything that came into their mind without thinking about how it will affect the plot. Many things that happen in anime are either rushed or left unexplained.
All and all the anime had barely minimum potential; it was wasted by the amateurish writing and forced moments. I would not recommend the Forced Cat to anyone.

Ozma is a short anime set in a Post-Apocalyptic world with advanced technologies. The anime revolves around a girl that is running from the antagonists and needs help. The anime has only 6 episodes with a lot of unexplained things.
The plot was nice but overly used; there was a bit more scratching of the plot needed but the anime being short lost all its potential and released a rushed product. Looking at everything the anime had some potential that was never brought out and left alone in the form of the prototype as it is now. I would not recommend anyone to watch it unless they are on a run to watch post-apocalyptic anime.

I: Wish You Were Here is a story about an alien virus pandemic that is turning humans into monsters and our main protagonists are in the team that is fighting against them. The anime was pretty short and with much-needed progress

Many will disagree on different things looking at the era it was released but still the writing of the plot and story don't have that standard as these are done with creativity and the anime seriously lacks it. Even if it was a full 1-cour story it would have been a disappointment the romance was forced and random, the characters were merely existing with nothing likable about them and the plot was dead and superficial
In the end, I would say it was nothing but a failed prototype with an abundance of mistakes and amateur writing. I would not recommend this to anyone at all.

Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou is a story about two girls traveling aimlessly to the highest point of the city. The girls travel on Kettenkrad in a war-torn world where every resource is scarce. The manga approaches the character interaction philosophically with some deep topics discussed. The setting of the manga is far in the future with some WW2 weapons and vehicles like Kettenkrad, a pretty nice twist.

topics. There were some chuckle-worthy moments even with such a setting that shows how well the writing was done. The part that made this manga especially great was their subtle way of showing philosophy without making it boring or hard to understand. There wasn't a full-blown story but a somewhat hint to it with more focus on aimlessness. The pages per chapter are a bit low compared to others making it a somewhat shorter manga but an impactful one.
The manga is really thought-provoking in many aspects of life and the writing was brilliant making it philosophical and interesting. Also, mentioning a real-life philosopher in the manga was a nice easter egg. In the end, I would recommend this to everyone, especially ones that are interested in a Post-Apocalyptic theme or thought-provoking plot.

Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge starts with a lazy protagonist and his reliable friend. The anime is set on the school theme with nothing new or interesting
The plot is pretty average and basic as many other high school anime and even the story is pretty bland there are occasional comedic scenes that will at least make you chuckle but the undertone of the anime remains boring up until the end. The characters were all stereotypical with no intention of trying anything new and the development was minimal. The anime tried to be a comedy-focused one but utterly failed to do so because of forced comedic scenes

and stereotypical characters. The art was good but inconsistent with eyes and the animation was pretty ok
The school theme is considered one of the most used themes and it has its checkmarks of events; this anime does it all and in the worst way possible. The anime has a pool scene instead of the beach, the firework scene, and the cultural event scene the three pioneers of the theme but the problem is this anime has all three one after another without a break in between that in many ways look like a hasty attempt at completing the checkmarks. The biggest problem in the anime arises at the near end where there is some tone of incest present that in particular is not seriously shown but can be felt at times. The anime had little to no potential from the beginning but the execution of the story was the one thing that made it look even worse than it was and not to forget about the boring undertone of the plot.
I will not recommend it unless you are really into high school animes and in the edgy lazy protagonist

Thermae Romae is focused on bathing culture and shows the similarities between Romans and Japanese people enjoying it. The main character is a low-rated Roman builder that gets his inspirations from modern Japanese bathing culture in a comedic way.
The focused genre in the manga was comedy and it was mediocre at best but then again it's in all its essence a subjective matter. The character writing was nowhere to be found, it was pretty ordinary character building and the development was nonexistential and that could be understood as the manga was more episodic rather than story-driven. theme for me at least, it being historical manga and having a comedy genre was pretty unusual, and not seen a lot so the expectations were a bit high but it fell short.
The art was amazing and the ancient Roman cities were shown nicely. The manga was a great approach to the theme but the inconsistency in the last few chapters was pretty obvious and unwanted. The manga jumped from a comedy-driven to serious romance and had many other inconsistencies that would spoil the things so I won't mention them.
In the end, I would say the manga and real potential to be something completely new in that theme but the forced or sometimes superficial comedic scenes, an unclear jump of the genre, and the inconsistencies made it a mediocre work rather than a breakthrough. I will only recommend it to the people who love historical-themed manga but not anyone who is looking for comedy.

Last Exile starts with the main characters doing courier jobs using vanship—A small two-seater plane vehicle in a distorted world. Where there are wars over water that are examined and judged by "The Guild'' a superpower nation of elites.
The story focuses on the development and goal of the main characters and how they get entangled with the most infamous ship. The build-up of the story at times seems slow but it is worth the while. The characters are well written but still have a little room for improvement. The character interaction was the most concerning part of the anime. Sometimes things between characters happened too

fast and in other instances, they left the relational development on a halt without a proper reason. The plot was very rich to the point the story felt like not justifying the work done on the plot. As mentioned earlier the plot pacing at the start of the story feels slow—for myself, I don't think it was really a problem but once the story build-up is done the pacing gets pretty well.
The anime had good art for that time and the animation in the battles sometimes felt undercooked but was done well enough to keep you hooked. The biggest problem I had with the anime was not showcasing the true potential of the Steampunk theme. The sound direction was good and everything was pretty nice.
The anime could have been a masterpiece if the above-mentioned things were dealt with nicely and if the story was as rich as the plot was. I would highly recommend everyone to give it a try. In the end, all the build-up at the start is worth the wait.
