Well, folks, it's time to talk about the train wreck that is "Ore ga Suki nano wa Imouto dakedo Imouto ja nai," or as I like to call it, "Costco Brand Incest-Service: The Anime." At first glance, the show seemed like it had a mildly entertaining rom-com plot about a slightly perverted sister who writes a fan-fic about her brother falling in love with her. Entertaining premise, but boy, did it take a nosedive into a flaming dumpster fire after the first few episodes.
Let's start with the animation. The first few episodes had decent animation, nothing spectacular but it was serviceable. However, as the show
...
progressed, it became apparent that the animators had given up entirely. The key frame art was so poorly done that I'm convinced the characters started suffering from some sort of neurological disorder. It was painful to watch, and not in the good "so bad it's good" kind of way.
And don't even get me started on the characters and plot. The once relatable and quirky characters became caricatures of themselves, making stupid and nonsensical decisions left and right. The plot devolved into a confusing mess, with unnecessary twists and turns that made no sense. The only redeeming quality of the show was the fan service between the brother and sister, but even those scenes were poorly written and laughably bad.
In conclusion, "Ore ga Suki nano wa Imouto dakedo Imouto ja nai" started out as a semi-decent watch but quickly became a dumpster fire of bad animation, terrible character development, and nonsensical plot twists. The only reason to watch this train wreck is if you're into incestuous fan service, but even then, you're better off looking elsewhere.

I watched all 10 episodes totally raw, no subs. ※\(^o^)/※
This is an unbelievably helpful anime to watch if you are a Japanese student.
Before I get started with this short review, I want to say one thing about my own biases and background that affect me giving this such a high score, because we all have our own changing tastes!
I come with a heavy history of slice-of-life animes, dram-coms, and rom-coms under my belt, so this was already going to be AT LEAST a 6 to begin with. One more note is that I rarely watch the isekai genre, so to me what Net-Juu no
...
Susume did was add a perfect dash of "other wordlyness" and blend it superbly within a very real-life setting.
:)
Story:
The story starts by following our main character, Morioka Moriko, and her return to the land of "Netoge" after quiting her miserable job and being left with tons of free time. Without giving away WHO the romance is with (since thats intended to be a surprise!) the most heart warming part of this story is when we get to see Moriko gradually come out of her shell and gain more and more confidence throughout the show. I believe we ALL can relate to the same struggles that she has had. And she shows us that it is indeed possible to find love and friendship no matter how worthless you may think you are :) <3
Art:
A fairly common art style among anime. They make the game world a bit more cutesy to tell the difference, but they look quite similar.
Sound:
The openings and ending were INSTANTLY vibing. The first time I heard them I was hooked. And I think that's super rare now a days.
Character:
The characters are ALWAYS what make or break a slice of life or romance for me. And Net-Juu killed it! Normally you'll find a character that you just can't stand to be around, but not here! Everyone is likeable and they fly above many of the cliche anime tropes that often leave us cringing. Very real-life and down to Earth reactions from every character.
Enjoyment:
Truly an amazing experience watching this show without subtitles. The last 5 episodes all had me blushing and swooning over my screen. I could not get enough of how cute MoriMori-chan and Sakurai-san are together. GUFAWWW (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)
Overall: 8 for an above average experience.
thanks for reading my review, and be sure to check out my profile! ^_^ requests open!

Pacing was so very slow, just a tiny bit faster and it would be perfect. I mean cum on, 27 minutes is an eternity! 0_0 Just sign me up for blue balls why don'tcha?
Otherwise yes yes this was my fantasy growing up too just like all you bros out there lol can't hate it for that reason.
Maybe they'll make a second episode, and if so I could give it a try. My hope for the next would be:
- Slightly more rx scenes in less time
- 22 minutes max
- More adventurous scenery to explore
Art and sound don't need to change. I think the art is a
...
special type that isn't pursued too often (as it is often overshadowed by the moe moe style) which is a shame! I like this more mature style as well.
Tonikaku, mata ne!

The Garden of Words
{Spoiler FREE} Anime Review.
Story:
The romance found in this surprisingly unique story was one that
tugged at the heart strings for sure. As with any movie that
lasts only 45 minutes, there is some time-lapse sequences in
order to progress the story. And while I generally feel that
such sequences make a show seem rushed, Sentai Filmworks did it
...
in a way that felt natural, making a practically seamless
transition over a couple of months. Overall the story was
captivating, and the very uncommon romance found within it was
sure to give someone looking for a good romance anime to fill a
void in their hearts a mighty big entree.
8/10
Characters:
There weren't many characters in this movie, and even less
important ones. You might even say the only important ones are
the two main characters themselves. But in a way this very
narrow margin of people to keep track of is just the thing
needed to keep the movie at just the right pace. Neither of them
felt like the were cheaply designed, and I could definitely feel
the emotions that each were harboring from their own struggles.
In the end I believe myself to have fallen in love with both,
even within the short span of 45 minutes.
8/10
Sound/Voice Acting:
Yeeeess. Here's where I finally get to bring up how much I love
Hanazawa Kana! I love her! For those of you who aren't aware,
Hanazawa Kana is the voice of Yukino, and has starred in
countless anime as both a main and supporting role. She has a
superb talent for what she does and can make any character she
voices come 110% to life. But enough on that note, as this
obviously isn't a review about only her(sadly). As far as actual
ambiance goes for this anime goes; oh man. I think I just had an
eargasm. Enough said.
10/10
Artwork:
Both the animation and color pallet were that of something like
looking at an ultra-realistic water color painting style live
action movie. This is an anime that spared no expense on their
budget for astounding visuals, and the product was, well,
astounding.
10/10
Enjoyment:
I thoroughly enjoyed this production. From the artwork, to the
heart warming encounters that the two shared under the
pavilion, I can say that this was the best movie I've watched
in quite some time.
8/10
Overall Score: 9/10
Recommended? Absolutely! A great watch for the whole family.

Goddammit, man.... I just have to say you must have a re-bound anime handy for after this show, because it will leave a gaping hole in your heart, begging for so much more!!
Story:
The plot in Nagi no Asukara is very well-rounded, in that it blends all sorts of elements from a wide variety of stories so well that the product is truly, amazingly synthesized and unique. It takes a look at over coming segregation, and how all kinds of people can learn to not just get along, but to love one another with great magnitude. Love
...
is the other highly touched on topic in this show, and it shows just how magnificent the power of loving someone with all your heart can amount to, even in the face of the most seemingly impossible and challenging situations. This is a story that is an absolute MUST to be experienced by both fresh eyes to the anime world, and well-watched veterans. Please don't make the mistake of missing out on this one. 10/10
Art:
The artwork in this show was absolutely phenomenal, and is especially noticeable within the backgrounds. They're all so vivid, and almost like you're living in a dream world! Without even bringing the story into account, your eyes will definitely NOT be at a loss while watching this show. 10/10
Sountrack/OPs and EDs/Ambiance:
Something that really put me into the show at first was the very cool atmosphere which the audio created for me. When the characters are in the sea, you feel like you're in the sea. When the characters are up on land, you REALLY feel like you're there listening to the soft hum of cars drive by and crying of seagulls in the air. As for the soundtracks and theme songs, well the emotion in the music of both just really went hand-in-hand with the story unfolding before your eyes. Even if you wanted to, I'm not sure how easy it would be to bring yourself to skip either the Openings or Endings to be completely honest. 10/10
Character Development:
The character development in this show can in no way shape or form be over-stated. I had fallen absolutely in love with each and every one of the characters just after a few episodes. Trust me, you can look for one not to like, but it ain't gonna happen ;) 10/10
Enjoyment:
While I do have to say that this anime was a whole lot different in that instead of being very happy and carefree all the time, it actually kept a somewhat tense and sad atmosphere for a majority of the show. Don't get me wrong though, this was a very interesting change of pace for me and kept me hooked on watching the next episode right away to find out what would happen next with the characters. I think you'll find though that this atmosphere is very suited to the show, and it wouldn't really feel right any other way. This anime was thoroughly enjoyable for me, from start to finish. I finished all 26 episodes in a matter of two days for goodness' sake! I think that should speak for itself. 10/10
Overall: Um 10/10, duh.
After-thought:
....*sigh*. I tried hard to write this review without saying it, but I guess it has to be said after all. This is SUCH a better love story than Twilight ;)
