To be concise, loved the animation, the soundtrack was good, character designs as well, but it was rushed. important things weren't elaborated, ending didn't give a good-bad feel vibe, it was just meh. It could be compared to the anime-s that have executed good-bad feel vibe in a correct way like "i want to eat your pancreas", "Gurren Lagann" - there is something tragic that happens in both of those creations, but it's not all for nothing or rather it has some weight to it (feel free to explore and find out for yourself, i wont put the spoilers for those 2 here). there was

Ao Haru Ride OVA should be definitely watched right after season 1, but the most important part of it is ep. 2. From my experience, the first season ended with a cliffhanger and of course as a viewer I had a lot of questions, which got answered here. Nevertheless, they give u another cliffhanger right in the end (that's why you should watch the last episode till the very end and pay attention to what they say).
Atm (2021) there is no season 2 and I don't think there will ever be, so the best option would be to pick up the manga and start from ... |
