Something unexpected happened. The co-founder of the prestigious visual novel developer "Key" and unofficially known as "King of Drama", Jun Maeda, couldn't create a good drama story, not even a decent one.
From Clannad, Little Busters! and Kanon, to animes like Charlotte, Jun Maeda has being losing his ability of creating masterpieces and started creating meaningless works.
This time, he brought us what in his own words would be the saddest anime he ever created, however, Kamisama ni Natta hi ended up being his most inconsistent and disappointing story.
* Story:
"A girl with the power of omniscience claiming to be a Goddess and stating that the world was

reaching its end. What's going to happen? How is this prestigous "King of Drama" going to shock us? what kind of plot twist is waiting for us?"
It was an interesting idea, sadly, mediocre scriptwriting killed the plot. First episodes fell like nothing but a waste of time, there wasn't anything interesting inside, it was a Slice of Life mixed with poor comedy and we saw this anime's worst moment in episode 4, a completly pointless and random awful episode.
Episode 5 came as a savior for many fans that were losing hope in this anime that seemed to be going nowhere near what the expectative was. It wasn't as dramatic as i was expecting or some people said it was, but it was much better than what we watched before and drama finally appeared with some character development. For a moment, i thought the wait was going to be worth, after all Jun Maeda was writing the script, but sadly, the story returned to the meaningless daily dosis of poor comedy, killing my hopes (to that point prayers) of watching a decent drama story.
The introduction of Hiroto, the "antagonist", brought 0 expectation to me, it only appeared few times with the intention of creating suspense, after that he had no relevance until the last episodes (what with that weird/pointless representation of internet fight with Hina tho?). Hiroto's background was a good idea, but the development was rushed because much screentime was lost with pointless episodes, resulting in a lack of emotions created by his tragic past, generating no empathy for him from my part.
Finally, the reasons of Hina's "powers" came to light. I liked the idea of Hina not being an actual goddess, but having the most powerful computer ever created to save her from her disease. The way Youta finds out about it is also interesting, Hina's father abandoning her because of all the pain she brought is a plot resource I liked (he's a bastard, but we must try to understand his point of view too), unfortunately this part was short.
Episode 9 came to finish destroying this anime. I haven't seen such a forced and rushed plot and drama since...wait, I don't actually remember anything at this level of "where tf this came from". The "scape" scene was far worst than Hina's forced rescue at the summer festival, and the confession...omg, it came out of nowhere, with no sense and 0% romantic development, it was awful. Youta's feelings for Kyouko suddenly dissapeared, as well as all the other characters's relevance for the sake of such forced romantic twist.
Episode 10 presents decent drama showing Hina mentally destroyed and a woman using her as some kind of replacement for her passed away daughter. Personally, MC's attitude ruined this part for me.
The ending of the story is just another example of how rushed and forced the story is, in this case for the sake of a "happy ending".
* Characters:
- Youta: "Mr. Generic" i read somewhere before, more like Mr. Charmless. Your typical school boy that doesn't stand out at all. The only character development he gets is that forced twist of romantic feelings. Last episodes made me wanted to punch him on the face because how stupid he became and how he treated Hina.
- Hina: An annoying brat at the beginning, but when i found out about her story, i was able to empathize with her. Although it was rushed, the explanations of her past was a good drama for me, at least good enough to think about her as a character with good development.
- Supporting characters: Almost pointless, after they are introduced, their relevance is lost for the sake of Hina's screen time. Kyouko was the only one developed decently but only for 1 episode, after that she becomes irrelevant.
* Sound:
BGM doesn't touch me much, even if i'm a very susceptible person when talking about music. I liked the opening, as well as most of Nagi Yanagi's songs, definitely an addition to my music library. Ending is a "meh" for me. Voice acting is nothing out of the world, i don't see anything outstanding here in therms of skills, it does what is suppoused to do. I like Kyouko (Yui Ishikawa)'s sweet voice tho. Youta's voice annoys me a lot, specially when he raises his voice. It reminds me of Asta from Black Clover but with less "loudness".
* Animation:
OK, didn't found any important art or animation error. Even if animation is not as smooth as most animes nowdays, fits the average.
I had so much expectation for this anime because of the names involved, but Kamisama ni Natta hi ended up being a big disappointment for me.
Episode 5, Kyouko Izanami, Hina's development and the opening, that's everything I enjoyed. Eveything else was inconsistent or boring.

Phylosophical judgment for myself:
Most of people didn't seem to catch the actual message of the story and think Babylon is some kind of pro-suicide propaganda made unintentionally or intentionally. I'm not trying to deny it has plot holes tho.
Babylon tries to explain why suicide is bad, not with the subjectiveness and phylosophical relativity of morals, but with logic and natural laws. Of course, it fails on developing that message since it's challenging (incorrect and impossible to find I would say) to find an absolute answer to "why suicide is bad" since it depends on the situation and the logic applied will always be contradictory, just

like the example in the story: Is it bad to commit suicide if with this you save a life? If someone else needs a transplant, heart for example, is it bad to give your life to save him? Is that person and its descendants going to use their lifes better than mine if I choose to live and not to save him? Because, if suicide is bad because the meaning of life is to keep evolving and developing, which would be the right choice? Babylon tries to explain something unexplainable and that's why it fails, but at least tries to think a logical answer in a world where people follow the morals without asking themselves why they do.

I almost forget how absurd this show is, I was busy laughing because of this reason. Is it trying to be a comedy story to justify the laughs? No, this anime is trying to be serious, that's why I'm laughing.
In a world where weird-looking creatures "attack" humans to become stronger by "eating" their sexual energy, Retto Enjou decides to become a hero by using a device that uses "erotic power" to protect the people. The reason behind his will is nothing but the girl he loves, his childhood friend Kirara Hoshino, once a pervert kid that used to hang out with Retto untill a monster/insect/something

weird ate her erotic energy in front of Retto. Since that moment, she became an annoying tsundere that can't stand being touched by the opposite gender or anything touched by it.
Sounds interesting, right?
Story: 2
Absurd, mediocre and with contradictions.
First of all, characters becoming stronger with "erotic power" is nothing original at all, it's something that has been used in many stories already. Leaving aside the unoriginal plot, the enemies of this story are monsters with the shape of insects with own personalities (very mediocre personalities tbh) that will eat your erotic power by just standing near you, but they won't if you are a hero or you are a person near a hero. Why? Well, plot armor guys, we need to make it interesting.
The story has some important contradictions for the sake of the plot. If a monster takes someone's erotic power, this person will become a cold and embittered person, no sexual desire left. But for the sake of our MC and his girl, Kirara feels horny when she touches him, something that can't happen according to the story but is a exception between these two. Why? Plot...I mean, Kirara is such a pervert that even if the monster ate her erotic power, she still can produce a gigantic quantity of it because she wants to play "mom and dad" with Retto. Yes, at that time she was an elementary school girl horny af for Retto. Btw, the monster that took Kirara's erotic power blows up all of a sudden after it.
I don't have problems with ecchi fan service if it's only for the sake of good comedy, not the case here. There's not much fan service anyways, but when it does, it's mediocre af.
Characters: 3
- Kirara: I don't usually dislike tsunderes, unless they are 90% tsun and 10% dere. She acts like she hates every guy alive and won't touch something touched by them, but in fact, she won't because the monster that took her erotic power when she was a kid said in front of Retto that she was pervert af. She was embarrassed and decided to close her heart to everyone. Really?
- Retto: Ok, he has the will to protect the person he loves and I like his kinda confident character, but he is a cliché.
All the other characters are just worthless to review, they barely have importance of screentime and are just standard "sexy waifu" type.
Sound: 4
Nothing to remember, it's there to do what it needs. I liked half the opening, then it became a little bit arrhythmic, but i don't dislike it in general.
Animation, character design and scenarios: 4/6/6 = 5
The animation is decent/bad the most average of time, but good when needed (ehm, fan service).
All the money goes to the ecchi fan service, it's what the anime wants to sell after all.
I like the character design tho, it's not generic and can be remembered.
Enjoyment: 2
I'm just watching this to make my average score lower, I want it near 6 but I don't stop watching good and decent animes.

Most average of people watch this because of the ecchi fan service, just go watch hentai.

"The harem of the 100 girls".
To anyone with experience in anime and enough mental age, this phrase means 2 things: Hentai or an absurdly bad story. To anyone relatively new to anime or someone young enough, this phrase means one thing: Perfection
Yes, the harem romantic comedies have a deserved bad reputation between experienced people, bad and/or very cliché stories.
This manga is slightly different from most. Why? It's not cliché? The plot is good? No, in fact this manga has one of the most dumb, cringe and mediocre plots someone ever thought, but it has a fair justification:

thing that matters here and works fine.
Story: 6
The story is mediocre and focuses on making the ideas happen instead of developing the story to make them happen properly, chapter 16 for example:
- "Oh no, invisible laser detectors, how are we gonna pass through?"
- "Don't worry, I have a drug for the eyes that allow us to see them perfectly"
The idea of a 100 girls harem is kinda ¿fresh?, but absurd and if the main idea really is to introduce 100 girlfriends for the main character, it will be ridiculous and exaggerated af, at some point can become boring.
The main plot is basically forgotten at this point, after so many chapters (148 right now) i only remember reading about it once in the story, i even forgot why Rentarou does what he does.
I would rate the story 2, but I won't. Why?
It's a parody of harem romantic comedy genre, the story fits the absurdness this manga wants to create for the sake of comedy. The more I read, the more this manga proves me that even a mediocre plot can be entertaining enough if used correctly, in this case for the sake of ok comedy. I can't rate that low something that works fine (at least at the time of this review), it's a comedy manga, it would be completely different if it wasn't.
What saves the completely repetitive plot and writing is in fact the comedy, the author likes to "break the 4th wall" enough and make references to make me smile oftenly.
I also have to say that if the progression of the story goes the same in the future and keeps adding more and more girlfriends in the same way, this manga will lose all interest from me and not even its comedy will save it from becoming too cliché and boring, it needs innovation at some point.
Character design, scenarios: 6 | 5 = 5.5 = 6
Even if the character design is not revolutionary and outstanding talking about skill or creativity, the style the author has is something I personally consider enjoyable, I like it. Btw, the author is good creating horror art, just read chapter 21.
Scenarios are just your average romcom school and city places, nothing remarkable at all.
Characters: 6
The MC is fine for me. Not deep or original, but also not cliché. Not a badass, neither a princess. Rentarou knows what he wants and will always try his best for the sake of his beloved girlfriends, even sacrificing his own life is something he would do without doubt.
The female characteres of this story are nothing remarkable, but decent enough to enjoy them if a fan of the genre. Yes, their personalities are not original, most of them are clearly cliché (tsundere, kuudere, shy loli, pervert, dandere, etc etc), but they are fine for being harem romantic comedy characters.
I also have to say that trying to create 100 female characters with their own different archetypes is way too ambitious in a single manga, the idea of good character development will disappear once a certain number of girls are created for the sake of thinking how the f*ck author is going to use and give relevance to so many characters homogeneously.
Enjoyment: 7
I'm laughing oftenly, that's a fact
Overall: (6 + 6 + 6 + 7) ÷ 4 = 6.25 = 6
If you don't think about the ridiculous story and its development, you can enjoy this manga and laugh.
If you are someone that refuse to enjoy teenager level comedy and prefers good plot or character development (understandable), you won't enjoy this manga and will think it's garbage.

Love is subjective, a senseless emotion. A person can sacrifice everything and work at 500% for the love of someone, but that doesn't mean its gonna get it. The person he/she is looking for might end up falling in love with someone that just discovered or rediscovered, even if its love is not reciprocated. Still, the person that works for it has more opportunities and that's what life and love is about, to use your opportunities.
Story: 5
Just like every other story with the same genres, It's about characters with some kind of emotional problems because of the past.

place in life. Disappointed and lacking of ambitions, he just waits for the future to come with whatever it wants (I bet most of people feels identified with him). This changes when a girl comes to his life for the first time and an old crush comes back to awake remaining feelings. What do we get? an usual love triangle.
Yes, the story is cliché, but it always work with this kind of genres because of something that must never fail: Characters.
The climax is to sudden and lacks of development, like if it has rushed half the story of the manga. It's the worst way to end a story, but even if I believe it was poorly developed, the idea is a good way to end this story. I would have done the same thing as Rikuo if I was there instead, falling in love with Shinako just to find out she's not ready for a relationship and because of this losing interest over her, ending up falling in love with Haru, someone that has been waiting for me no matter how hard it was.
Characters: 5
The only one I think is bad is Shinako, not because of Haru or other emotional things, but because her character development was a useless waste of screentime. Rikuo and Haru are fine, even if they are kinda cliché.
- Rikuo: An alive person that lives like a dead person. His personality fits with the average person that likes anime, someone disappointed with life, it's realistic. He gets character development by deciding to find out the meaning of his life thanks to Shinako's indirect support (rejection). In the end he finds out what is bet for him
- Haru: The "weirdo-perfect waifu" of the story, someone that fans will blindly attack for to anyone who "hurt" her, even fictional characters (Shinako). An introvert girl that became assertive for the love of someone she just discovered all of a sudden. Yes, love is a senseless emotion, but I feel forced the way she fell in love with Rikuo, I'm the kind of person that wants good reasons. Even if she's a cliché character at this type of stories, it's impossible not to fall in love with her, that's why she was created for.
- Shinako: Someone living in the past, someone that thinks impossible to live a future without overcoming the past. Maybe some fans wrongly think she's a bad person for "toying" with Rou and Rikou by not explaining thinks clearly and giving them chances, she's not. Most anime fans are used to think all female characters must be perfect, no important problems allowed, that's why when they see one with emotional problems, they don't understand it and if she somehow gets in the way of their waifu (Haru), they will hate her to death.
She stays negligent with her decisions in the climax, something I disliked.
I remember Haru saying that Shinako has the advantage over her because she has known Rikuo for a longer time than her and had more opportunities, but that's not true. Even if Shinako has the "time" advantage, she never used her opportunities with Rikuo until near the end of the anime because she was trapped in the past. That's why Haru won, because she worked hard for Rikuo's love for longer and used all her chances, unlike Shinako.
Sound: 5
Ok for me, background music does its job, but I found negative the lack of opening tbh.
Character design, scenarios, animation: 4 | 8 | 6 = 6
- Character design: Kinda mediocre, but good enough when needed.
- Scenarios: Good, beautifully made and better than the average.
- Animation: Ok, but could have been better. Not too smooth, but not bad.
Enjoyment: 6
Enjoyed untill I reached the climax, then I wanted to drop it.

I've been a fan of Romance/Slice of Life/Drama stories for a long time because they are the most realistic and human ones, even if they are fictional stories. Yesterday wo Uttate does a decent job expressing what this kind of stories want to be, but not at the level of other stories of its kind like Anohana, Kokoro Connect or Nagi no Asukara. I would rate it 6 or even 7 if it wasn't because of that forced climax, even if I believe that the love triangle ended logically and subjectively correct. Most average of Romance/Slice of Life/ Drama stories usually get bad near the end, Yesterday wo Uttate is another example, just like Glasslip or True Tears.

Very very short review:
When USA and Japan have sex in the 90's = Cowboys in a Space Opera The Animation
Story: 9
Epic, deep and dramatic. It's not a 10 because I disliked that the end is kinda open, but it's probably one of the best ways to end it.
Animation, character design and scenarios: 10-10-9 = 10
Based on how the animation industry was when Cowboy Bebop was made, this anime has the best animation and character design from the 90's, way better than the average animes from nowdays. Scenarios were pretty good for the time either.

One of the best background music I've ever listened to. Each scene had the perfect musical setting possible. Personally, I wish it had more variety, but it's not like there's any urgent need of it.
Characters: 10
Deep and simple when it's needed. Philosophical, badass, funny, compassionate...main characters had this characteristics. The character development is just wonderful, it's so interesting to watch.
Enjoyment: 9
I love it, even if I'm not from the US or a boomer I had a great time watching this classic.

(incomplete review based on the first 13 episodes)
While I was expecting a remake of the original Digimon, Toei makes a reboot with a completely different story. I feel like this version of the original Digimon has been made with the intention of being a classic for this generation of kids/teenagers, just like the original one was, so the topics it touches are things common in this modern age (intercontinental nuclear missiles, smartphones, etc).
Story: 5
It tries to be more "mature" than the original Digimon using topics like weapons of massive destruction (nuclear bombs), I like that.
What I dislike about this is the way the story

is developed, too rushed and mediocre. Matt and Taichi just met and they already know how to create Omegamon all of a sudden. When the kids find their Digimons, they don't even bother so much about what they are or why they are with them, they just accept them easily without further curiosity. Episode 9 and full evolved Digimons are already shown. Something that bothers me so much is the fact that Izumi can literally do anything he wants with his laptop, he even has contacts inside foreigner national security agencies, like bruh, even if he is a genius, he is an elementary school student, so unrealistic.
Animation, character design and scenarios: 5
The animation for the first episodes is bad. It's not fluent or smooth, the fights sometimes remind me of puppet shows where there's a scenario and behind there's a puppet being controlled by a person. The evolution sequences are good tho, all the money goes there.
I understand that the forced quarantine in Japan affected the creation of the anime, so I won't blame Toei for the first episodes. Episode 5 had decent animation tho, idk if the quality will stay the same from now.
The character designs are clearly meant to be similar to the first Digimon, maybe trying to get some nostalgic feelings.
Scenarios are ok for the public this anime wants to reach.
Characters: 4
Some of the characters are kinda unrealistic, sometimes even plain robots. Not much character development given to us from their introduction chapters, it feels mediocre.
I want to think that Taichi won't be the only relevant character throughout the story and the rest of the kids will have enough screentime.
1) Sora: I feel her plain sometimes, like a robot or a cliché School/Action/Comedy/Harem male main character. She's supposed to be an elementary school girl.
2) Taichi: He keeps the same personality he had in the original Digimon, so it's ok for me. He's the leader and the main character of this new Digimon Adventure.
3) Izumi: Nothing changed about him, he's the same genius kid. The fact that he has contacts with even nacional security agencies of other countries is kinda ridiculous tbh, more if we ad that he can actually hack nuclear missiles.
4) Matt : He acts like if he was some kind of "badass" main character, just like Tatsuya from Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei, which I find unrealistic because he is an elementary school boy. His old personality was more realistic and less plain.
5) Mimi: She's not a crybaby anymore and I like that, but her original personality is way more realistic, after all she is a 10 years old girl.
6) Joe: I don't remember him being that careless at the beginning, he's in a brand new world and only thinks about studying, not even surviving in first place. At least he realized about it and decided to go with the other kids very fast.
7) Digimons in general: Talking about the irrelevant Digimons, some look like actual dinosaurs instead of monsters or fantastic creatures.
I miss the basic Digimons having different personalities, but i bet this will happen later, this is only the beginning after all.
Sound: 7
Background music is ok, opening an ending are cool. I wish it had the old opening, but the one it has is cool either. Personally, I never liked the old endings, so the new one gives extra points to the show because I like it.
Voice acting is nothing out of the world, but its not bad.
Enjoyment: 5
I'm not enjoying it enough, nothing compared with the old one and I'm not saying this because of the nostalgic feelings.
I'm still positive about the future of the show, I want to believe that it will get way better.

Shimaichigai is a compilation of short stories/one-shot mangas/anthologies about Danchigai franchise. Each chapter is focused on one of the girls of the main manga (idk if the one-shots were written before Danchigai was created), containing ecchi and characters with completely different personalities.
1-2) Based on Mutsuki character.
3) Based on Yayoi character. Here she is a full-dere bro-con imouto instead of a tsundere, also Mutsuki is the tsundere here.
4-5) Each chapter based on the twins (I couldn't find out who was who), one is a nurse and the other one is the student council president. There are nudes, so proceed with caution.
6) Prequel of Danchigai, a short

story about Mutsuki and Haruki, the first day he got into high school.
Haruki appears in all of the chapters as the Haruki of the Danchigai or another versions of him.
Overall: Worth it if you buy the volume and can read japanese, if not, just read the prequel that can be found barely easy. Finding the other chapters is a pain in the ass and took me hours, I had to ”read" it in a random thai website and I couldn't find chapters 2 and 4.

This spin-off takes place after the main manga ending. We'll see how Azusa faces the problems of being the president of the light music club and, along with Jun and Ui, tries to recruit new members to save the club from disappearing.
Story: 5
Slice of Life/Comedy/School 4-koma manga, it is what it is.
It's the same as the main manga, but when I say "the same", I mean it literally.
The chemistry and interactions between characters are literally the same as the original club's members used to have. Also the goals of the club are the same, drink tea and practice with the band. The author is looking

for nostalgic feelings instead of fresh ideas, but still funny tho.

K-ON's mangas have never been outstanding because of the art, that's for sure. The design of the characters is generic, it's the same "shape" with different accessories or hair for almost all the characters. Scenarios are average too.

If you watched the first Love Live and Sunshine, you'll know how "new characters" thing works here.
1) Azusa (Mio junior):
We all know her, so there's no problem because she was part of the original club and her character was a positive addition to the main manga. Here we will see how she faces the problems of the club as the new and inexperienced president.
2) Ui (Yui + a little bit of Tsumugi):
She's here to take Yui's cute airhead rol, but at least she's smarter than her older sister.
3) Jun (Ritsu):
She's Ritsu with different face and name, also she only has 75% of Ritsu's troll power.
4) Sumire (Tsumugi + Mio):
Mugi's ojou-sama/maid personality + Mio's extremely shy personality. She even has direct relation with Mugi's family, so she usually helps "Tsumugi ojou-sama" with her requests
5) Nao (Nodoka + Yui’s uselessness)
At first sight she looks like another Nodoka, she seems reliable and mature, but in fact she is literally useless when she tries to do something new.
Enjoyment: 7
I had fun reading this, nothing compared to the main story with the original characters tho.
Overall: 6
Every K-ON fan would like to read this, specially since it's a direct sequel.

First, I have some experience with hentai but it's not my thing, so I avoid everything related with it, even the soft-hentai genre (Ecchi< Soft-H < Hentai).
Story: 3
There's nothing outstanding with the story, it's the exact definition of "cliché". Boy that lives alone for x reason and gets a harem all of a sudden. There's even a beach episode within the only episode of this show so you can imagine.
Art: 5
Ok for its time I guess.
Sound: 7
Surprisingly accurate and entertaining tbh, the atmosphere of joy and dumb fun the background music tries to offer fits very good with what this show is.

Enjoyable characters, main heroine might be waifu material for the weebs. The lack of character developing is obvious and the excuse of "it's only 27 minutes long" won't work with someone that watched Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko.

I gotta say that this soft-hentai Ova was funny enough to make me wanna check the manga looking for some laughs, it was funny.

This is an ova and I guess it must be taken as an additional material for the manga, although it seems like it resumes part of the story. If you are looking for fan service, laughs or both, you might enjoy this, but lets be honest, most of y'all are here for the faps.
