Synopsis

Uranohoshi Girls' High School, a private school in the seaside neighborhood of Uchiura at Numazu city, Shizuoka prefecture.

A small high school in a corner of Suruga Bay, it is home to nine teens, led by second-year student Chika Takami, driven by one seriously big dream: To become the next generation of bright, sparkling "school idols"!

If you’re, like me, one of those people that couldn’t stand the anime because of its overuse of melodrama, constant yelling and obnoxious characters, there is still a chance you might like this iteration of the franchise.

The manga version of Love Live Sunshine goes back to simpler roots and it just makes everything better. Chika actually seems passionate about being an idol and her energy is communicative and this time feels like a great leader deserving of succeed honoka and it’s understandable why other talented girls would gravitate towards her. Another point I like about it is how the characters are not all introduced directly ...
