In these shoujos, the characters both have family curses on them that affect their choices in love and they have to follow the rules of the curses in order to not be cursed. In Pig Bride, they need to marry someone who will love them even though they wear a mask and they cannot see the face, so someone who will love without appearances. The drawings are somewhat similar to each other, and they both got to do with shrines. It also has a common type of comedy. The plot is very different than the other, but I can't help but be reminded of KH when I read PB! o: They are both awesome. A must read! <3

Both are Manhwa. Both are well-drawn. Both have historical clothing. Both protagonists are forced to marry girls who have something wrong with their faces.

They are both historical type fantasy shoujos with a main female character who has to wear a mask. In Xia Ke Xing she has been raised with cruel fate and masked for years while in Pig Bride she has to wear a mask because of a curse. In both stories the female lead wears a mask and wants a person who can fall in love with her by seeing her heart and not her face. Neither girl wants a guy who loves her only for her face so she covers it up, in Pig Bride it is because of a curse and in Mogwa it is because of trauma but both girls live rather removed from regular society. The genres and stories are pretty different beyond the theme of the mask.

Both have characters who always wear mask and are extremely attached to the protagonist. The plots may be different but they are both just as enjoyable.

Popular guy meets weird girl, though the story is set in a magic setting. It's much more entertaining than Imadoki!

Different sort of shoujo romances that involve a fairy tale type fantasy setting with strong elements of magic and the supernatural.

They tell the story of a rich, well-born boy and common girl who are bound to get married: in Goong it's because of a promise made by grandfathers, while in Pig Bride it's some kind of fate. Goong is w little bit more dramatic, but both are rather funny and nice to read.
