This manga got me crying every chapter, if you read Akai Ito and then this one, the main characters, Sakuragi Rino and Kiritani Ren will start to grow in you. In Akai Ito you can see Rino and Kiritani as a future couple and if you are like me, you will start shipping them.
When I started reading 10-manbun no 1 I wasn't expecting such a sad story, I just finished reading Akai Ito and I was sure both mangas would be the same genre and guess what, I was wrong.

I started this manga expecting something good and well? Was it? No. I have read Akaiito and I remember I enjoyed it a lot more than this, at that time 10 manbun was still ongoing and I remember I was really looking forward to seeing any developments between Ren and Rino and so I was very eager to start reading this. This manga starts as a cute romance shoujo then BAM.. *disclaimer: I have not read the parent story "Akaiito". 10-manbun no 1 jumps right into flirt and then developments into their relationship, which is a continuation from the parent story directly. What I really enjoy are the true feelings and progression of awareness to her disease. The FMC essentially goes through the 5 stages of grief and has her family and friends supporting her throughout her diagnosis.
