The list of manga that are considered the most recognizable in Shonen genre, including the Big 3 of Shonen Jump. Can be used as a reference sheet for newcomers to the manga industry.

Number of sales and date that number was acquired from in notes for each. Some of them I have personally estimated a higher figure than the date says.

No. 147 would be the Himitsu Series of books. It's for children and I can't find it on MAL. It has 116 volumes and started in 1972, and has sold 23 million (June 10th, 2018).

No. 57 is Marugoshi Deka by Ken Kitashiba & Michio Watanabe, which started in 1986 with 75 volumes & 395 in Weekly Manga Sunday Jiysugyo no Nihon Sha.

No. 73 is Jingi by Ayumi Tachihara, but it doesn't have the amount of volumes or release date it says in Young Champion Akita Shoten.

No. 74 is Direful Industrial Volleyboys is Hiroyuki Murada, which started in 1989 with 67 volumes & 711 chapters in Weekly Young Magazine Kodansha.

These manga's can most likely be found in your local bookstore, like Bokli or Ark. You can also order online from Outland and other sites.

It might be possible to find it in your local library as well.

Manga with tactical fights/strategic battles that are not determined by strength or numbers but how they use what they have available to them, using their knowledge/cunning to outsmart their opponent, exploiting weakness, planning beforehand or quick thinking in the heat of battle and using what's in their immediate surroundings to their advantage.

Not all included manga are at the same level when it comes to tactical fights/strategic battles and while the majority of fights are tactical and the battles strategic there are some that are not.

Mangá² podcast recommendations (#001-#050)

For all the parents and other older relatives, librarians, and teachers out there, here is a list of manga that are appropriate for everyone of all ages and could make for a lovely spot on any and all kinds of bookshelves.

Manga has always been popular with kids, and those in the West who visit their local library may notice that kids tend to gravitate to the graphic novel sections, sometimes just for these Japanese comics! Many of the most famous, popular, and beloved manga may be serialized in magazines aimed at children in Japan, but may surprise those in the West with how violent/fanservice-y/not-exactly-child-friendly they may be to Western sensibilities. Because of this, it can be awkward and/or uncomfortable to share with younger family members, and had any parent glimpsed the wrong manga they might unfortunately ban their child from manga entirely!
So this stack is for those who don't want to go on the wrong step, and want to introduce manga to anyone younger or let them start building a manga collection on reasonable terms. Or for those who want some generally lighter reads. Either approach is fine :P


Disclaimer: I try to put all kinds of series here, but I will admit that there may be a large bias for relatively older shoujo series... not necessarily because I think shoujo always deserves more love and far more credit than people give the demographic tag, but simply because much of it includes series I personally grew up reading. Though there are also nostalgic picks that aren't shoujo in here too. Either way, sorry if I didn't put in any of your childhood favorites haha.

This is the continuation of last part,same as last time. I picked the ones that populars and underrated and which publisher publish it so on and so forth...

First part of the list of manga which got an official Czech translation/got published in Czech. Either coming out or finished, doesn't include manga that has been announced but hasn't come out yet. Because MAL allows only 50 titles into an interest stack max, this list is split up into two parts.
