Manga: Kurayami Dance
Both involve a male protagonist who is struggling to understand the suddenly confusing world around them. Both are accompanied by an abstract humanoid figure visible only to themselves (Challia v. Memory) Both include themes of delving into the SELF and discovering their place in the world. Both have settings of mostly non-modern-Japan. Sekisei Inko mostly focuses on finding his identity, uncovering memories past, while Kurayami Dance is about the value and significance of life and death.

Young boy with an ability to manifest a supernatural ability goes on to attempt to uncover a complex mystery spanning through multiple various characters.

Manga: Oyasumi Punpun
When I started reading Sekisei Inko, I was reminded right away of Oyasumi Punpun. Each main character has a voice which speaks to them and some similar twisted circumstances around them. Sekisei Inko is newer in translations so I'm not sure if it will take a similar path story wise but if you like surreal stories check it out.
