Both series prominently feature child soldiers as main characters, though the nuances are different. Both have the characters battle with non-human forces that existentially threaten society. Also they're somewhat tonally similar with both having rather depressing moments and sprinkles of romance throughout.

The two titles share in common that there are children that are suited to fight against monsters endangering people. There is also some romantic stories in both books.

Two romances featuring a relatively mature main character who struggles with his past. Similar dynamic of the male lead trying to keep the female lead at a distance due to the (perceived in one case) age gap. Both blend light hearted moments with more depressing and impactful moments for a solid emotional rollercoaster.

Manga: Asebi to Sora Sekai no Boukensha
Both are proper fantasy stories (SukaSuka does have a few RPG elements though) with similar setting; floating islands, airships, guns and big monsters. In both stories a human MC pairs up with a non-human girl to fight those monsters and uncover ancient secrets.
