Demon Lords and Magic... Is this not enough:? Story revolves around the protagonist time traveling using what was in the dead demon lords grasp to correct the mistakes he made whilst rising up as a hero.

Mc transported/reincarned in another fantasy world Mc starts weak but quickly becomes strong Mc is an "anti-hero" Mc gets monster traits/powers by eating them Minor similarities: both mc gets an harem, both mc have a fake arm, both mc help other people only when they want, both of them try to hide unique traits.

Is similar due to the fact the protagonist dies and is reborn in another world. Although the story is greatly different we can see that they both adapt and live in their respective worlds as well as achieving great things

Both main characters have similar abilities; when they consume material(Monsters, ores) they get some of the materials ability's. Ex. magician, they would get an ability of the magician or the class(RE:monster) They both start ruling over monsters, making they strong, builing a base, and overall expanding they colony from a small one to a big one. Basically they are the same thing but in a different style Re:monster is in a diary style and Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken is POV.

MC who get's killed and reincarnated as monster in fantasy world - checked. Re: Monster does not have this much tragedy though.

In both series, the main protagonists are thrown into a fantasy world where monsters are real and they must fight to survive. The MC develops skills as they unlock new abilities and faces off against deadly foes. Goblins are also a common sight in both series. In essence, their world fiction ties in a lot with fictional fantasy setting. It also contains concepts like medieval weaponry, armor, and other special abilities. Do note that Re:Monster contains more mature content while Hai to Gensou no Grimgar focuses more on relationship dynamics.
