Similar art style and humor. The reaction faces of the characters and the type of comedy is rather similar as well

Grand Blue is basically a less raunchy version of Prison School. Both manga share the same comedic style and ridiculous humor; the use of exaggerated and over the top reactions, dialogues, and facial expressions in a wide variety of situations. Yet despite having no similarity in the storyline and setting, the two showcase the male camaraderie and bonds among the cast with a little hint of romance here and there. The art work of both manga also have the similar style and vibe-- clean, proportional, and detailed for the most part. I highly recommend these two especially if you're a comedy manga enthusiast.

1) Both mangas have a lot of comedy that can make you laught for hour( not literally) 2) Both mangas have much "meme face" 3) The main character of both mangas do the role of "tsukkomi" 4) Both main character are involved in funny scenes and with "boke" (idiots) characters

Grand Blue and Gintama are both over the top, comedy based, episodic series. Each features a small, yet diverse, cast of amusing characters taking part in a club/organization (Diving Club/Yorozuya Gin-Chan). Both, early on, have relatively minimal plot lines, focusing more on comedy than story. Both authors make use of intense facial expression within the series' humor.

Both series have lot of humorous elements so much that you cannot stop laughing. Many Humour comes from day to day life affairs and misconceptions of the characters.

1) The characters of both mangas have almost the same personality 2) The character design is almost same 3) Both mangas make you laught so much

They both have a very similar humor (tsukkomi and boke), I personally cannot stop laughing while reading these two manga. They both have breathtaking panels once in a while that just makes you stop reading just so you can look at it for a while.

Both Manga has a similar vibe but also different like a bunch of guys and girls and their weird romantic relationships and all the shenanigans they come up with.

Takes a little to get used to the characters but they're fun. Grand Blue is a more dirty slice of life comedy but connections with the characters are astounding.

Both these manga are short, easy to get into and very enjoyable If you like your comedy manga then please read Grand Blue it's so hilarious you'll not regret it(otherwise you can always watch Gintama but it might take a while to get into it) And if you're more into wholesome feel-good manga then spy x family is worth giving a shot

One is set in the student council a prestigious high school and the other is set in a.. shady college 'diving' club, but both series feature great comedy and are actually building towards romance in a way that is.. believable? I guess? Both series like poking at tropes in an obvious way, too. Grand Blue has way more indecent exposure than Kaguya, though.

In addition, grand blue and Amaguri have something in common in the jokes. Besides jokes about each theme, this also has something in common, namely sex joke. - MC is so cool - Same girls/surrounded by a sexy girl.

In both series, we get to see the laid-back,delinquent side of Japan. Both are insanely hilarious and will make you laugh out loud quite a few times ;)
reportRecommended by SkydiverRed
Both are comedy manga with plenty of ecchi scenes, which focus on a group of students which fool around together.

How ironic it is that some even made recommendation with GTO for Grand Blue, while ignoring there exists Amanchuu. If you ever feel too much with the naked 503000 brothers, Amanchuu will definitely drive you into diving chilly and pleasantly, not to mention that Kozue Amano certainly masters in visual effect amongst panels. Though Grand Blue's college background makes more sense, I have the premonition that Amanchuu is better at the given concept, diving, in spite of its own inferiority in comparison to Aria.

Love Theory is essentially a romcom version of Grand Blue. Both protagonists are ugly virgin perverts, but as the story progresses do does the protagonists The art style and facial expressions of the character are also very similar.

Both are funny. Both revolve around situational humor.

Grand blue is by far the funniest manga ever

Even if the two stories are not comparable, they are closely related. Ikki and Iori are very similar, both having a similar humor that is a bit heavy on the people around them while being able to get serious when needed. They also share similar personalities, and so do their friends, they are not afraid to make fools of themselves in front of everyone while being trustworthy at the same time

Both involve students getting into weird situations and both make you laugh out loud

They're both about a protagonist who leaves home and makes new friends from a new hobby(?).

Both have a sort of down to Earth comedy that rely on contrasting facial expressions. While they vary wildly in their approach to story, the way they utilize comedy makes me think of them in a similar vain. Though it should be noted that Gokushufudou doesn't utilize Ecchi while Grand Blue does.

Both manga have explicit comedy that have some similarities with the jokes that have been thrown. Grand Blue´s jokes hit hard like HnG´s.

Same dumb comedy style and humor that makes it's characters feel like ridiculous morons; and i love it Batsh*t crazy supporting cast corrupting an honest MC.
reportRecommended by SteelingMax
both mangas tell a shonen comedy story revolves around daily life. how hard it is to understand the other's true feeling. a lot of romance comedy act with a bunch of daily jokes. although not as much romance can be seen in grand blue, the possibility is definitely there. on the sideline, both mangas have this healthy rivalry between inner circle friends. the drawing and panel of the manga is also quite similar in how rusty it is presented. sometimes the drawings are so wobbly and the panel is unclear that the gag becomes a bit hard to follow. all that similarity being said, grand  read more

Same non-sensical comedy style and humor that makes it's characters look like a bunch of morons; i love it; Some of the most ridiculous escalation of the funniest situations ever put to manga; Retarded characters going to the highest of highs in absurd situations.
reportRecommended by SteelingMax
Both of them are some of the best comedies you can find in manga. Both of them have similar over the top facial expressions/reactions that are absolutely priceless. Both of them also have some really genuine heartwarming moments thanks to the great characters.
reportRecommended by alpha_shadow
Both mangas have similar, and very ridiculous, sense of humour. Each one of them has also a theme going on, GBs being scuba diving and Mattakus being a mystery, that are mainly there as a set up for a joke than for an actual story.
reportRecommended by Foxford
1) In both mangas the main character can be killed in any moment 2) Both mangas have funny faces 3) The main character of both mangas are involver with "bokes" (idiots)
reportRecommended by Kiakrre
Both series are about diving. There is some similarities with the MC like he is childhood friend with the main heroine and her sister(s). Also the main heroine is somewhat cold but gives affection at some points.
reportRecommended by hellogarry
Same author, Baka is about high school life, grand blue is college. Extremely fun

Their style of over-the-top comedy, and "boys will be boys" type of humor are very similar. I can say confidently that both of these manga have very likable characters, and their strong points definitely reside in character interactions and humor. I think readers of Grand Blue will absolutely enjoy Agravity Boys, and vice versa.
reportRecommended by AgravityBoy
Both main character are very shy at the begin of the story but as it advance they are growing... Althought both mangas have some references only for adults (like s** and other things )

Diving club ---> Weightlifting club. Shares knack for comedic timing, attractive character art styles
