Kamisama Kiss just really reminded me of Inuyasha as I read deeper into the story :3

Canine demon boy (Inuyasha/Tomoe) has to partner with a schoolgirl (Kagome/Nanami). Inuyasha is a shounen manga (lots more action) whereas Kamisama is a shoujo manga (lots more romance), but the relationship between the two main characters are very similar.

In these, the story has great resemblances in the plot, even though one is shonen (Inuyasha) and the other is shoujo (KH), for instance, both have:
- Naive human heroine who has a special power and is on highschool and has the ability to travel to past.
- Main hero is a youkai with ears and white hair and at first fights a lot with the heroine but ends up protecting her later.
- The relationship between Tomoe/Nanami and Kagome/Inuyasha is quite similar: it begins in a conflicting way but then it turns into affection.
-  spoiler: The hero loved a human girl in his past and wanted to be human to be with her but she died.
- Yukiji (Tomoe´s former lover) resembles Kikyou (Inuyasha´s former lover) in looks and personality.
Personally I like Inuyasha better because it develops the supporting characters more deeply. read more

The relationship between the two main characters from KH (Nanami and Tomoe) reminds me of the relationship from InuYasha (Kagome and InuYasha). Especially at the beginning both Tomoe and InuYasha is a little bit more savage but become more tamed (?!) as the series progress.

Both involve a dog-like human and a human girl. The demon in both series is sort of a tsundere and the girl in both series are strong-willed. The demon in both series loved someone in the way in the past and the girl in both series in the present time is a reincarnation of the demons' past lovers.

there are A LOT of similarities between InuYasha and Kamisama Hajimemashita
- Human girl falls in love with youkai boy
                     ->who feels the same way for her but is still kind of hung up on his ex who may or may not be somehow "connected" to said human girl (can't say any more than that, spoilers lol)
- She gets powers she didn't even know she could have (nanami has "God" powers whereas Kagome is a miko)
- Time Travel (sorta?)
- Love Triangles
- "Should I give up being a youkai so I can be with the human girl I love?"
- LOTS MORE!!!

The major differences is that InuYasha is a shounen and focuses more on the adventure genre (though it has lots of romantic moments too!) while Kamisama Hajimemashita is a shoujo and focuses more on the romance genre. But both of them are equally great!

Both feature a female protag trying to step into their newfound powers in a strange new setting involving unfamiliar creatures and the like. They fall in love with the male lead, who is a powerful demon of some sort with white hair, cute ears, and is kind of a douchebag, AND is getting over a lost lover. KH is, however, much more romance oriented compared to Inuyasha, and it's a good amount shorter. The general mood is very similar and both are simultaneously uplifting and frustrating at times.

Same sort of demon creature who also looks very similar and has a similarly abrasive personality but becomes sweet. It has the same kind of feel as well.

The girl has latent powers, the guy looks like a human but is actually a demon or half demon.  The guy ends up picking up the girl alot.

It's by the same mangaka.  In anime, the male main characters of the two works were done by the same voice actor.  Except for those two memorable yet redundant points,  there is also a similarity that worth talks about, which is these male main characters overcome with their problems/missions and grow along the story.

Kyoukai no Rinne addpermalink

In both manga the story and characters are very similar, which is only natural, since they're from the same mangaka. While Inuyasha takes place mostly in the feudal era with the characters exterminating evil youkai and hunting down the main villain, Rinne takes place in the present with the main characters dealing with cases that have to do with the supernatural.

In both the main girl has strong spiritual powers and fights demons, she ends up controlling a rebel demon with necklace beads while he in the beginning tries to kill her but slowly starts to falling in love. The two share many hilarious moments together. Also, the main demon has a evil brother who doesn't like him.

Rurouni Kenshin is like a darker version of Inuyasha.  Both have powerful swordsmen as their protagonists who are fighting a demon within themselves.  There is a very similar feel in the way that people gravitate toward them despite their anti-social nature.  And while Inuyasha is more openly romantic, Rurouni Kenshin also has bits of romance.  

If I tell you much more about their similarities, I'll ruin the series, but they are very similar in every sense but the differences between shojo and shonen.

Bleach addpermalink

Both are long series that feature a lot of fighting scenes where each character has their own special attacks. Also both main characters keep improving their weapons/powers with new more and more powerful attack moves. Both also involve the main character facing off against more or less supernatural beings, although in InuYasha it's often youkai (demons) and in Bleach humans with inhuman powers. Also it seems like no matter how brutally you beat up our male leads Ichigo (Bleach) and Inuyasha (InuYasha) neither seems willing to die anytime soon.

Samurai Deeper Kyou addpermalink

Both involve a lot of fighting and battling with swords. The romance between the two main characters is also slow-developing but a very sweet story, but the main heroine reminds the hero of a past lover. They're both great reads, though Samurai Deeper Kyo has better art in my opinion.

When it comes to characteristics, Akatsuki no Yona and InuYasha are very much alike. Both have two strong female characters. Every time I lay my eyes on Yona, I can always see of her as Kagome. Maybe because they've become stronger from the first chapter down to the last. Both are also like historical animes. Both are in search of something; AnY is searching for the four dragons while InuYasha is in search of the remaining shikon jewels.  Inuyasha and Hak also share some similarities when it comes to their attitude. If you enjoyed reading Akatsuki no Yona then try InuYasha. Or the other way around. I promise these two mangas will not disappoint you. read more

The general plot and the characters are clearly very similar: a schoolgirl with spiritual powers, a wild, demoniac, silver-haired dog guy, and their relationship.
Both manga involve romance, supernatural, horror and comedy.

Love between a human and a daemon, seals, mysterious jewels with power, monks and demonic creatures, traveling. Inuyasha has way more chapters compared to Koori no Mamono. One is a shounen with a lot of romance, the other is a very soft shounen ai/adventure manga.

Both have a guy caught in between two girls who look alike - one from the past and one from the present. Inuyasha has more adventure but both have their share of fighting and romance. Oh and not to mention time traveling.

Both involve demons; have two different "spieces" (shikigami & human / dog demon & human) fall in love with each other; fantasy; females have some supernatural ability. Inuyasha is more action and adventure and really long compared to Moe Moe Darling. MMD has more of an ecchi romance type genre and only a volume long. These two have their differences, but I liked them both so whatever...

At first they both start with one girl with a great heart. They both meet a cold-hearted man who acts like they don't want to do anything about them. As they get use to each other, the cold-heart has warmed up. The two manga's both take place in feudal Japan.
Even though the two manga's both are very different in plot, but they are both the same when it come to love (kinda).

These two mangas are really different: Inuyasha is more light-hearted, typical shonen while claymore is darker, and the plots are different too. I just feel like the battles are similar, with all the yoma energy stuff and the giant monsters regenerating, if you like those type of battles. Also, both of the main characters are part yoma and part human. They both have swords, and in claymore, the character keeps on learning new sword techniques and in inuyasha, the sword keeps getting new abilities.

InuYasha has a completely different theme of medieval fantasy vs. Psyren's science-fantasy.

Both InuYasha and Brave 10 feature action scenes with different weapons. Both also start off with the main male character having to protect the (seemingly useless/annoying) female lead for one reason or another. Both feature supernatural elements and both series have the main duo gathering new allies along the way with different powers and specialities.

The main character in both are half demons whose father is so powerful it's stupid. Inuyasha and Rin are very similar in personalities and both have befriended a powerful priestess.
The real difference is the motive of the antagonist. The antagonist in Inuyasha (Naraku) made it very clear what he was after early on. The antagonist in Ao no Exorcist hasn't even been fully revealed yet let alone his motives. 
If you like one, you will definitely like the other

The story isn't like InuYasha but i can say that the characters are like the characters from InuYasha. 
Mei have to be InuYasha because they both had bad childhood and they share the same feelings. The inside of Mei and InuYasha are wounded  because they are cold to other people, and they have bad childhood and bad memorys that they don't want to remember but when Yamato and Kagome comes into their life they began to heal their wounds in their hearts, i think that InuYasha have the same feelings for Mei even though she's not half demon but they have the same childhood problem, Mei friends didn't like her and that they blame her, and InuYasha had to suffer from being a half demon from Humans and demons.   read more

U&T is a masterpiece of fantasy manga. contains cruel demons , sacred weapons, and powerful warriors armed with spiritual powers. the battles are really bestial and bloody.

InuYasha was heavily inspired by this work, especially in its initial part.

Demons exist in these manga universes, where the heroes of the stories are actually both human and demon. They go on adventures, for different purposes, with their variety of companions. Nurarihyon no Mago focuses on a young boy as he struggles to keep up with his family heritage as a possible successor for the supreme commander of youkai. Also, Nurarihyon no Mago is mainly set in modern Japan, altering between this modern setting and the spiritual youkai universe.

They both have: girls with special abilities, hot bishies who are skilled fighters, monsters, demons, people/monsters seeking out more power, and a villain who is hard to defeat.  Both are set in the Feudal period.  The art style is also a little similar because they were both written a while ago, but it is really beautiful to look at.

Miriam and Kagome are both tough, stubborn, no-nonsense girls who are as keen on adventure as the male leads, and they prove they are just as strong as the guys.  Kagome is a great shot with the bow and arrow; Miriam is quite the little sharpshooter.  Also, the main couples don't realize they're in love for a while. Lastly, because they are both older mangas, the art style is similar.  
Both are really great stories!

If You like Legend, You may like also Inuyasha. It have similar plot, a girl find a way to ancient time and meets mysterious guy. She eventually fall in love with the boy. Travel with him and met other companions. In both Inuyasha & Legend, the major male characters have someone of the past that he love and want to protect.
