The main character's actions in both series are so similar it's almost laughable. Beck focuses more on the music aspect where as Fuuka focuses more on romance(thus far)

I don't feel that the characters are especially similar, but I am surprised that this hasn't been recommended here. The themes feel very similar when it comes to the lengths they want to go within the music industry. Both are about bands/singers trying to reach new heights on the road to fame. In both the main characters suffer heartbreak and loss and have to find a way to keep moving forward and turn it into music.

Well Suzuka is literally the prequel to Fuuka, following the romance of two track athletes. There is a good amount of development though misses a perfect score due to the MC not being firm enough early on and some other minute things. Great if you want the twist in your standard romance to be something besides killing off the heroine.

When I read Kanojo wa Uso wo Aishisugiteru I was reminded of Fuuka. There is a fair amount of drama in both series, and they share many similarities. Both have female leads who live to sing and who love music, and both contain lead males who experience painful things and they use music to move through it. The feel is very similar to me but the stories are pretty different as well. I really enjoyed them both.

Both mangas start off with a group of people, aspiring to be a band, also with one of the members in a relationship with someone (in Fuuka the person is in a relationship with another person in the band; in Solanin the person in the band is in a relationship with someone else not in the band). But tragedy strikes when one of the people get into an accident, and the band steadily falls apart, their death still fresh on their mind. The person in the relationship decides that will reunite the band and do what was left behind by the one who died. These  read more

Both manga feature romance and have similar harem-style relationship between the main male protagonist and the major female characters throughout the story. They also have the same author so the artwork will feel similar.

Both series have a plot/goal that focuses on a dream of a deceased character.

Takes a little to get used to the characters but they're fun. Grand Blue is a more dirty slice of life comedy but connections with the characters are astounding.

Almost the same exact story, pertaining growing romances and trying to start a band around all the drama between relationships with mutiple love triangles

Both are music manga with a common theme of amateurs pushing their way in the world of music. Kono Oto Tomare is based in high school and around Koto music. Fuuka starts in high school but soon follows the characters beyond school and is based around modern rock music. Both show the characters dealing with each other and their competition as they struggle to be better than they were before.

It has many similar themes, both are slice of life stories. They are also both romantic high school stories with a little bit of ecchiness thrown in. At the moment Fuuka has yet to have many female characters vying for the male character's love but based on the past projects of the Author (Kouji Seo) it will eventually turn into a preudo harem manga like Ichigo 100% where the main male character will be surrounded by several insanely beautiful women and sexual tensions with plenty of panty shots and "accidental / concensual (most likely orchestrated by the bustiest girl)" groping

The concept and relationship between the 2 MC's of Cross Account reminds me heavily of Yuu and Koyuki early on in Fuuka. The guy is a nobody with a popular Twitter (or Twitter-like) account and the girl is a popular idol/actress (Cross Account) /singer (Koyuki from Fuuka). The guy even has another girl in real life hanging off his shoulders in both. The key difference is that while Cross Account has them form a friendship over the manga's version of Twitter, Koyuki and Yuu were already childhood friends who found each other once again through Twitter. Also, Fuuka's already well past that point and it's  read more

Both manga have a slice of life and romantic high school story narrative. Both main male characters have multiple female characters that are interested in them but the male character is too shy to show his real feelings. With a lot of love interests also comes with its fair share of drama which both stories have. Both of these manga have romance, ecchi, school, drama and shounen genre elements.
