Manga: Usagi Drop
an older man having to look after a young girl, for different reasons. The two have very similar stories, but perhaps a different mood to how they tell them. My Girl seems a lot more like it has many morals to share with the viewers, while usagi drop seems to be more realistic in terms of drama, and comedic. Both are good reads.

Manga: Chichikogusa
+ Almost identical premise + Both parents are male + Slice of Life - My Girl (MG) is a Seinen, while Chichi Kogusa (CK) is a Shounen - Much different ways of handling plot/character development - The children are different genders - The children have almost opposite temperaments - CK seems episodic, while MG is not - MG has a softer art-style, while CK has the more traditional inked look

Manga: Yotsuba to!
both have an older man looking after a young girl, although Yotsuba is more focused on the "adventures" of the little girl and the friends she makes. Yotsuba is lighthearted with serious moments.

Manga: The Friendly Winter
Well, The Friendly Winter is as close to My Girl as a work can be. They're both heavy on Parenthood Themes with absolutely adorable characters that you can't help but root for. They're both emotional, heartwarming and glorious experiences.

Manga: Aishiteruze Baby★★
aishiteruze also has a male lead dealing with looking after a young girl for different reasons. Though it has a lot more focus on romance, cuteness, and drama, definitely a shoujo manga compared to my girl, but the themes are similar.

Manga: Bambi to Dhole
Both centres around family matters and the possibility of falling in love again. Both the guys have their own children. Although they don't tackle the same problem the essense of the story is the same.

Manga: Shigeshoushi
The premise is entirely different but: -> both are about people who need to go forward but they can't do it alone -> both are very mature stories about life and different kinds of love -> both are made up of short stories with special morals -> grief is important theme in both of them -> you will cry in both of them

Manga: Uchi no Ko no Tame naraba, Ore wa Moshikashitara Maou mo Taoseru kamo Shirenai.
Both a story of a man suddenly becoming a father, cuteness overload in both as well

Manga: Totsukuni no Shoujo
While I have not finished My Girl, I could tell that both stories have somewhat of a similar theme and/or concept. Both mangas revolve around the story of an adult figure taking care and looking after a child, the two mangas both heartwarming and heart-throbbing for various reasons.

Manga: Chichi to Hige-Gorilla to Watashi
Both manga are about a father taking care of his daughter after the mom passes away. My girl is much more emotional and straight forward. Chichi to Hige-Gorilla to Watashi (especially at the beginning) is much more comedy focused, however later in the series there is much more drama added to it. Another difference is that Chichi to Hige has an added element of an uncle as a main character along with the father and daughter while My Girl is focused only on the father and daughter. I think if you like one you'll enjoy the other but if you're looking for an emotional rollercoaster  read more

Manga: Watashi no Shounen
My 500th rec! Wow. And to think I'd be recommending such fantastic manga! Frankly, I'm surprised nobody has recommended them, bc their base plot lines are strikingly similar. You have a mature, working adult, who is suddenly thrust with the responsibility of a child (from the opposite sex). Both manga deal with how, very gradually, the lives of both the parties involved, change, and how both form deep and meaningful bonds with each other.

Manga: Sen to Man
- Both is story about Father who raise his daughter - Both is slice of life with realistic and heartwarming feels - In My Girl the daughter is still kid, in Sen to Man the daughter just started her puberty (first year middle school).

Young men taking care of young or baby daughters, these both have the single father as the mc.

Manga: Gakuen Babysitters
Both mangas are about kids and their daily life with a boy/man, the only one left in the family. They have this sad atmosphere, because the parents/mother are dead. The development is adorable too, they start to understand each other and stuff. The cuteness of "Gakuen Babysitters" overflows, but "My Girl" doesn't lose either (and has other kids too, Kohaku's friends). Anyway, you should read both if you are looking for a cute manga with cute kids and cute guys doing cute things.

Manga: Hotman
Both guys were living their lives as they were until they found out they were fathers to their daughters. My Girl revolves around Kazama finding out his ex-love had died and she left him a daughter which he did not know of. While Hotman, is about a man who had a troubled life in his younger days without caring about the consequences, left him with a baby with a skin disease. Both men carefully change their ways for their daughters as single fathers (even though in Hotman, the father has his siblings).

Manga: A Small World
Both Manga's are father/daughter relationships. Small world is a oneshot about a teenage girl living with her step dad after her mother passes away. He attempts to love her in his own way which comes off silly, her being a rebellious teenager pushes him away. Its really cute. My girlis is a longer series about a young man who discovers that he has a daughter.Through the series they both learn and grow together. My Girl has a more serious tone with a heart warming element. Both are great reads.

Manga: Otaku no Musume-san
Dad comes home and finds a girl he must all of a sudden take care of. That girl turns out to be his daughter. The difference between the two: Otaku no Musume-san is more light-hearted and comedy-driven while My Girl is more serious and drama-driven.

Manga: Amaama to Inazuma
A family consisted of a father and a young sweet little daughter. Mother: diseased. The father? At a complete loss trying to cope and keep up with his daughter day after day. Two wonderful stories about the every day life of these families, with lots of laughter, drama, hilarious & heartbreaking moments. (although I can't say for sure about amaama to inazuna yet! :P ) Definitely read them and enjoy them!!! ^v^

Manga: Kiss yori mo Hayaku
Both about an older guy becoming a papa for a younger child in kiss yori the child isn't his but yet he talks care of him and his sister. its both hearth warming and sometimes sad. Kiss yori is more about romance but it somehow gave me the same kind of feelings.
