Synopsis

In Oval City, where robots are commonplace and used as tools by humans for most basic tasks, Iris Rain Umbrella is an android who lives a carefree and happy life caring for her master, Dr. Wendy von Umbrella, the head of robotics research at Oval University. According to Wendy, she created Iris to take the place of her younger sister, who lost her life in an accident, and whose name and likeness the house robot shares.

Iris does the work of a maid in the von Umbrella mansion—shopping, cooking, and cleaning—and wishes for these days to never end. However, this joyful existence is suddenly interrupted by a series of tragic events. Uprooted from her home, Iris must leave her comfortable life behind and adapt to her new circumstances if she wishes to survive.

Man this is an amazing rollercoaster ride for my emotions
It was a very beautiful story that depicts the understanding of life and one's meaning of existence, metaphorically, from the perspective of an Artificial intelligent robot, who was also granted understanding of emotions....
Through the character development of protagonist from beginning to the end of story and in side story was absolutely amazing that resemble to basic human nature development one have gone through IRL, so relatable.....

The storytelling followed in the story was so beautifully written that it focuses on more slice of life elements, helping readers' connecting with different characters and psychologically ...

I really enjoyed reading Ame no Hi no Iris and so I wanted to do a quick review of this story.

Story:
Overall I think the story was pretty good but the biggest issue with it is that it gives away a lot of what is going to happen with the names of the chapters. I really wish I would have read it without looking at the synopsis on mal and seeing the names of the chapters because it would have made it much more enjoyable. Putting that aside I think that the story was well written and the idea of having robots that are so similar ...

In stark contrast to the title of this novel, I read it when it was a warm sunny day and I was spending time on the Internet. This novel is wonderful to read.

When you read translations, you can't really say that you've read the work as the author intended it to be but I am sure the translators did a good job as the style of the novel was consistent and flowed naturally.
