Epic stories where an ordinary but strong and charismatic female lead is chosen by a prophecy, thrown into battle and forced to dress as a man to survive
reportRecommended by as3
Both heroines were able to "travel" to another world where they were prophesied to appear to save said world from chaos. They have almost the sam plot but the heroine in saver has a more deeper character and is not what one would call a damsel - in - distress.

girl travels to another world/time... girl is important in that other world/time... girl becomes powerful warrior... and many more similarities...If you liked Saver than i would definitely recommend Red River

The mc's of Song of the Long March and Saver are similar in that these strong heroines hide their gender and act and dress as men. Song of the Long March has a historic setting, while Saver is a fantasy, and Change is weaker physically than the sword fighter Ley, but they both are cool headed thinkers who possess similar leadership abilities. If you like strong heroines and good stories with politics and fighting I would recommend both of these.

both stories start in a modernday setting, but unfold mostly in a medieval looking world with sword fights and battles against a cruel regime. the main characters are strong women posing as men, who get caught up in a fight to protect others from that world/ time they fell in

In both mangas, the main character gets thrown back in time for a specific purpose which gets to be revealed later.. both include war, romance, revenge, great characters and brilliant plots that offer great reads for MAL users who love this genre :)

Strong female leads both physically and mentally. Both main characters are hiding the fact that they are women by disguising themselves as men. The stories however are different, the biggest similarity being that they both involve sword fighting and a reverse harem cast, other than that there isn't a ton of similarities plot wise. If you loved the strong female lead in one though, I would definitely recommend the other.

Saver and Akatsuki no Yona are stories set in fantasy realms with a strong female lead. The girls have tragedies happen which they have to overcome and they have hard choices to make in their worlds and experience betrayals. The worlds feature magic and swordfighting and strong plots and action along with reverse harems with several guys to like. The tone in Saver has less comedy than Akatsuki no Yona does. Saver does have her travel from the modern age to the fantasy world while Yona's story is completely in the fantasy realm.  read more

They are both set in a fantasy world. They got both a great story and art, with enough action. Ubel blatt is a more mature manga then saver, but even so it's got a lot to offer. It got the same genres as Ubel blatt and gives the same feeling, only a bit less mature.

If you like very strong female characters you might like Saver and Love in the Mask. In each of these, the girl is a physically and mentally tough fighter who poses as and lives as a male although the circumstances are different, they both have to conceal their gender and fight men. These heroines take on that role and even have to hide this from the guy that they love and both are reverse harems but gender benders. The stories of both of these are quite good and I loved both of them - they are different  read more

If you like one, you will definitely like the other one. While reading Absolute Witch I immediately remembered Saver. Both of them gave out the same feeling and the art is similar. In both manhwas the female leads reminded me of the other, both Lena and Skyla are extremely beautiful, courageous and they mature during the series.

They both do not really have much in common but they both give out the same feel. A lot of drama and a great tragic romance. Both are great reads

Both women dress as men and have excellent fighting skills

Both female leads have very strong personalities and excelling fighting skills. Saver is more dark while Red Lion is a bit more cheerful

Both have strong female leads with excellent sword skills who have a prince that falls in love with them.

1. There is a heroine who is in love with someone she isn't supposed to 2. The heroine travels to a different world where they need someone to save the country from some evil people 3. The heroine is strong and has some way of fighting 4. Girl has to travel with a bunch of guys 5. Love triangle/square 6. Part of a prophecy Both of these are adventures with strong willed heroines, but Fushigi Yuugi is better suited for a more mature audience. But if you couldn't get enough of either one you might want to try reading the other.

I thought the main characters from each manga are very similar, in art style and both are extremely powerful.

They are both about a girl travelling to the past and cross-dressing.

A modern-day girl is taken into the past, where she must fight, dressed as a man

In both a girl from nowadays falls into another world, and there to survive she disguises herself as a boy. Saver has more Drama, while Rure has more comedy. Both are great reads.

Epic/historical-ish stories where the female lead is chosen by a prophecy, thrown into battle and forced to dress as a man to survive. Though Matia (LofN character) is weaker and more peace-seeking than Lana (Saver character)

A girl ends up in a parallel world, dresses up as a man and is destined to save it. Similar enough?)) In operation liberate men, the women in this other universe can use magic, while men cannot. Like men in our world used strength to oppress women and control them, rin this world women use magic to opress and control men. Those rare men who are born with magical talent are mercilessly exterminated, so they have to hide and conceal their powers. One of those summons a person of our own world (where men are not taught to obey women) to help with the revolution - the  read more

Strong kendo obsessed girl being sent into a violent past. Sengoku Strays seems to be less tragic though.

Well, they are both about girls mistaken for guys, and they are both really strong fighters. They also both involve "other worlds". A little romance. Saver is more serious though.

Art is very similar, both fantasy and very good, and actually, the two michaels look very alike..

The action is similar, the heros looks alike and both came from another dimension, they're also fantasy manhwa. I love them . :p

Both of these stories follow teenaged women of great strength who dress as men. They are each a part of prophesies that they themselves aren't aware of. Also, both closely tied to a man who is a leader with strong morals and great dedication to his followers/people.

both have: Strong girl character they both gets in different world they almost die in this world befor getting there and they fall in love.. with time in someone.. :)

There are very few similarities between these two mangas but they have the same action - packed theme. In both mangas, a country is on the brink of war and the protagonist are both good swordsman/woman. Also, the hero/heroine are both deep despite their outward appearance. They both have an unpredictable plot, in which one would find exciting. Both are a very good read as they both have a lot of twists. The main character always takes you by surprise. Thus, creating the atmosphere of unpredictability.

Both protagonists from modern day japan travel to another world and go on adventures with the help of their new friends :) Kyou Kara Maou is more light hearted, Saver is more serious but it still has its amusing moments. Both have meaningful and beautiful storylines that I have re-read countless of times.
