Recommendations

1) The feels and comedy in both of these series are top-notch 2) They both star an eccentric, mysterious main character that changes the lives of the people around them. 3) The themes of friendship, dreams, and being who you are are very prevalent here. I can't recommend these series enough! Personally, Sumire 16-sai!! is my favorite manga series.

Both of these school life comedy manga revolve around a high schooler protagonist who is idolized to the point of absurdity by his peers, and unwittingly picks up admirers to add to his bromantic-harem through everyday interactions with other characters. In Handa-kun, the humor comes from the fact that the protagonist doesn't register the attention he gets as admiration and actually believes himself to be a victim of bullying, but countless misunderstandings only seem to cement his idol status. In Sakamoto desu ga? the humor is from the protagonist himself, who is so ridiculously, over-the-top and impossibly perfect in any given situation that it is  read more

Both manga revolves around how an individual could charm their surroundings. Machida charms people by his sincerity and kindness while sakamoto charms by his mysteriousness and absurd competency.

Both are held mostly in school setting. Each chapter sums up neatly. Both are extremely funny in unexpected ways.

Both series feature a protagonist that does everything in the most random, coolest way possible.

Well actually they're not that similar I just get the same vibe from both mangas - COMEDY - High School Setting - Random stuff keeps on happening

Both stories use highly over the top and exaggerated situations to tell a story. Great art and similar tone too.

I'm Sakamoto and Cromartie High School both specialise in absurdist comedy in a high school setting. The main characters create comedic scenarios in different ways; Sakamoto has so much charisma that he can seemingly warp reality to work in his favour, whilst Kamiyama is the only character with more than two braincells but slowly loses them over the course of the series by way of osmosis. Though I find the incredibly short chapters more effort to read due to reduced story flow, I actually prefer Cromartie High School as it utilises this quality to continually build punchlines on top of each other, meaning the more  read more

Sakamoto is apparently reborn into Saseyo Eroika to by his own high morals as the guiding light, lead humanity through the crisis of a sex-virus that infect women and turn them into... what's that word again? What else can be better?!

If you like school life manga with a protagonist who looks like he could do anything and resolve any problem set before him, then this recommendation is for you.

- carefree person - school + comedy - hilarious

A cool deadpan type character in completely outlandish situations, both are really funny with how the leads play that serious part so well when other characters are trying to bring them down.

Sakamoto-kun and Yugami-kun are both main characters who just do their thing and are considered cool or weird because of it. Not like they care about other people's opinion, though. So if you are looking for a story with an interesting male lead, both are for you.

Both manga has a main character that is pretty much close to a god among the humans. Sakamoto and Saiki both deal with situations that seems to be so serious in their cases, and the solutions they come up with are so over the top to deal perfectly with the situation, which in turn creates a serious humor that makes the readers laugh.

Both have main characters that make you LOL Both faces that do not have much expressions, but their actions tell a different story

-Both Sakamoto and Sebastian are considered perfect in all their actions -Both series rely on the "suave cringe humor", though in Kuroshitsuji not as much -Sebastian and Sakamoto appear very similar -Sakamoto and Sebastian are OP as heck Though Kuroshitsuji may seem like a jump from a light-hearted manga such as Sakamoto desu ga, the two main (ish?) characters are similar.

Oh wait, noone have spotted the similarities between these two? Sakamoto desu ga? is like a Y2K version of Angel Densetsu, with slicker art, faster punchlines, but sadly a more chopped up/episodical storyline. Both are school life mangas with MCs who's misunderstanding their peers and end up in comical situations because of this. If you loved Angel Densetsu I'm sure you can read Sakamoto just to quench the thirst.
