Both are about bullying, though LIFE also touches the topic of self-harm.

Both MC's have regrets of being bullies when they were younger and try to come into terms on how they can be a better person. Both Mc's are also start out with a wall out protecting themselves from others before coming to see that there are some people out there that are worth trusting. Both have coming of age kind of feel.

Both follow the story of our MC performing heinous actions against others, and then thereafter go on a personal journey for their self-redemption. These are both stories that will have you glued to the pages, desperately trying to finish it all in one sitting. (My personal favorite of the two would have to be Koe no Katachi- by a hair. Just read it already!!)

Similar depressing atmosphere. Both manga tell stories about bullying and violence.

They don't have that much in common, but both the leading girls are deaf and go through hardships.

Despite coming from two entirely different genres, I cannot help but recommend this manga. Both stories feature a bully who regrets his actions so much that he ends up becoming someone with crippling anxiety and a lot of self loathing, someone who's completely given up on life. However, ultimately, it's his childhood victim who becomes his savior and helps him see the beauty in life again.

Both protags are quirky guys who dislike their lives and are struggling with suicidal thoughts. Their lives were changed by an encounter with a girl, and they want to better themselves for that girl. They both create a friend group as quirky as they are and give the group a goal to strive for. The main charm is that nobody in these manga are normal.

Though not as emotionally pressing as Shiawase na Jikan, Koe no Katachi has some great moments dealing with depression in a realistic way, that in a way raises awareness. Both of these stories are very emotionally heavy and will both make you cry.

Both manga have an MC who has a physical disability, but goes about living their lives normally. We also have an MC2 who falls in love with our MC

Two different views on "how bullying can change a person" is shown in the two mangas. In koe no katachi, the MC was a bully himself and he was bullied later on. so, he repented as a way of changing himself. But in holyland, the MC sought power after being bullied. he tried to change himself by being stronger than than the bullies. If you are looking for mangaz which shows the effect of bullying on a person, i'm sure you are looking for these.

In both of these manga the main girl has a disability or quirk about them which makes them undesirable. In Koe no Katachi, Shouko is deaf and communicates with the class via a notebook, this results in her classmates disliking her and bully her around, whereas in Ore no Pantsu ga Nerawareteita, Konomi has a strange genetic quirk in which she obsesses over the underwear of the person she likes, which results in some pretty awkward and funny situations. Both manga were in my opinion very enjoyable and each set a distinctive atmosphere with likable and unique characters, despite the significantly different feel these manga respectively  read more

Manga that heavily deal with the subject of discrimination and forgiveness. Both take place in a school setting.

These mangas are about bullying - both feature a mc boy who bullies a girl and then meets her years later and tries to make up. However the responses of the girls are very different. In Koe no Katachi, the female lead has a disability but is very nice, too nice really, while in Kimi no Sei the female lead is out for revenge on what was done to her and wants to make the guy suffer like she did.
