Character design and plot are so similar that I find it extremely hard to remember the difference beteween the two. Same story about very close friends falling in love with each other, interleaved with the stories of many secondary characters.

A teenage girl is secretly in love with her best friend, who is also a girl. She can't confess because she's afraid of ruining their friendship. Both series focus on the conflicts that may result from such a situation. They share a similar flavored mix of drama and comedy, with multiple shifts in tone within the same chapter. While Sasameki Koto has slightly more comedic elements, with Yagate Kimi ni Naru striking a somewhat more serious tone, both series are centered around the love between girls in a high school setting. In both cases the love is a slowly blooming one giving its development a realistic impression.

Both are cute slice of life titles. There's a cross dressing boy in both of them. Sexual orientation is a topic that comes up in both of them. Sasameki Koto is a shoujo-ai while Hourou Musuko isn't, but they're both great. Lots of touching romantic moments, and both very enjoyable!

Both manga are light-hearted shoujo ai series that lightly touch upon the taboo of same-sex relationships. Moreover, both stories revolve around a main character who is responsible and protective. However, Ameiro Kouchakan Kandan is centered around a cafe while Sasameki Koto is a school romance.

Shoujo ai (female x female) and seinen (male targeted) but also with good character development that usually comes with shoujo (female targeted) manga. Prism is more explicit (borderline yuri).

Both are shoujo ai with comedy and romance, but I recommend them due to the similitudes on the main characters, we have a "cute femenine girl" with a "tomboy girl" as couple. It was inevitable remember me of each other.
