Both manga/manhwa...graphic novels are about a couple who are the smartest in their grade. They get to know one another's flaws/darkness, lessen the distance between themselves and become a beautiful pair. In cheese in the trap they seem to view each other in a negative way and never got to know one another till a year after, but in karekano, the characters start off as friends and grow on one another. Both are great reads and highly recommended.

> Both are manhwa with a very lovely and likable art > They are focused on romance but has a lot of good comedy in it > Main characters have deep and well made personality. Both heroines are smart and mentally strong. < Main difference is that while Something About Us is more cute and genuine, Cheese in the Trap is more psychological and twisted, same stands for the main characters

A more mature version of Cheese in the Trap where Hong Seol ends up with a black-haired Baek Inho and Baek Inha ends up with a brown-haired Yoo Jung.

+ school life setting + MC guy who has some psychological problems, is handsome, and somewhat yandere + realisitic MC girl + characters go through dark and serious problems + similar art style (fully colored manhwas, webtoons) + super enjoyable to read

They are both weebtoons with great art and somehow a similar vibe. They are both about people in university and they both deal with real life issues as attending university and choosing your path. So far Pink Lady is more romantic and less comedy-like, however they are both very enjoyable reads with realistic characters and plots.

The main couple of both have the same sort of vibe, where both are scary sometimes and the main guy is kind of mysterious. The main girl and guy of the series also kind of look alike.

Hanmi and Seol are both clever girls and good students. Both have a good perception of what is going on around them and are aware of danger. Junhyuk and Jung are both very interesting male characters. Their personality is often portrayed with their eyes, not so much with their words. Both stories are captivating and intriguing romance dramas.

although its a bit different, the ml in both series kinda reminds me of each other

Both manga have intertwined relationships with people who seem to foster yet unrevealed feelings. Moreover, some of the characters resemble one another in terms of earnestness.

Though the premises are quite different, I like them both because of their realism and slow (yet satisfying) buildup of relationships.

Both a lot of psychological manipulation, internal monologue, mystery-type stuff happening

If you like Cheese in the Trap, I would suggest My Shiny World as a new manhwa you might enjoy. They each have settings of a female mc in a university setting. The girls have very different charcters from each other, yet both look at the world differently and more seriously than their peers. Each also has a stalker so the girls outlook on things is sometimes darkened by that. The stories are sort of slice of life yet also psychological. My Shiny World is newish and ongoing while Cheese in the Trap is over  read more

Both are psychological dramas which take place in school. The protagonist also deals with a form of bullying. Although (probably not to the same degree) the narrative does tend take the darker aspects of life.

The heroines in these series are independent, smart, observant and perceptive. They're not completely naive with the world and always questions people's real motivations and intentions.

Cheese in the Trap and Coelacanth both have supporting male characters who are enshrouded in mystery and both of them seem genuinely dangerous. Coelacanth and Cheese each contain a bit of romance, mystery, and suspense. And to top it all off, Hong Sul and Hisano aren't the typical naive and annoying female leads; they are both intelligent and a bit analytical, if in different ways. If you like one, you just might like the other!

The heroines in both series have a habit of secretly observing others. They're both very good in analyzing people's real personalities and motivations behind their facades. However, while Warau Kanoko-sama is more of an episodic manga set in a typical high school setting, Cheese in the Trap has a very realistic portrayal of college life and has more plot in store.

Cheese in the Trap and Koi Dano Ai Dano have intelligent and observant heroines. These manga both have cold and caluculating characters who seem observe others, and while they are not mean their personalities are not typical ones, both series have both comedy and drama. They differ in that Cheese is josei while Koi Dano is shoujo and that Cheese has a more complex plot and a mystery.
