Written and drawn by the same mangaka, both contain perverted & mysterious high school girls, introverted and weak minded male protagonist that has to face some unusual situation

- made by same mangaka - same atmosphere - crazy moms - manipulations These will both give you edgy feeling, feel of wanting to stop reading but you just keep on going. And... Seiko looks like a grown-up Mari. XD

There is a reason I like Fukigen Cinderella and it isn't purely the gender bender, a lot of the recommendations I see for it are for solely gender-bender and really aren't similar at all. In fact I could never find one similar to this no matter how much I looked. However, Boku wa mari was something I stumbled across thanks to crunchyroll and I noticed similarities in the vibe and maturity they display. Both aren't cuties or "funny" they are more serious and focus on mind ****ing the protagonist. Logged in after a long time in hopes of helping those people who were like me  read more

Both Furuya Usamaru and Shuzo Oshimi seems to have a knack for exploring the psyche of high school girls, and they both do it great. There are even greater similarities here but revealing them would be a bit of a spoiler, so be sure to read them both and find out.

Both manga are centered around being in the body of the opposite gender. When reading Shishunki Bitter Change the tone it had reminded me a lot of Inside Mari.

Both talk about self-knowledge, sexuality and other emotions with deep psychological aspect. Is interesting see the different visions of the world that make different the two series. Inside Mari is more tense and heavier than Sabishisugite, but even so a great manga.

These stories share a male protagonist in a very peculiar situation from which they mature, have predominance of deep sexual themes (no pun intended), they're fast paced, intense and booth happen in a school setting.

Both story involves psychological disorder and complex sexual relationships.

Unsuccesfull, socially awkward guy and a girl who has some serious problems. Their meeting kicks off the plot.

Both manga deal with the aspect of the male protagonist's change of gender, which he has to get accustomed with and overcome problems caused by that. In Boku Girl the boy wants to hide the fact, that he has become a girl, in Boku wa Mari no Naka the protagonist gets to live in another one's female body, so he has to try living as the girl that was in the body before.

Creepy guy suddenly appear inside of beauty girl but original guy still exist in reality. In Boku wa Mari no Naka more of suspense and mystery, Ochiru Tenshi is hentai story.

While different in story, both have the theme of disappearance, wondering where a character went beyond their physical body.

Both follow a male protagonist who suddenly finds himself in a female's body.

While Boku wa Mari no Naka is a much darker take on the concept of sudden gender change, both have a high-suspense hiding-in-plain-sight setup and very well-drawn and sexy art.

These manga share a sort of dark psychosexual introspection that is very rare. They're both filled with trauma, self discovery, complex and messy relationships, but also punctuated with quiet moments of human connection and personal triumph. I think this is a lot more meaningful of a similarity compared to the other recommendations which boil down to "they both have a bodyswapping premise."
