Accel World: 9 1/2 Prince: 9 Both basically a virtual reality fighting game with romance in between the fighting. Amazing art work on both parts, 1/2 Prince a bit more light hearted and all in good fun, but intense at times. Both are 9's almost hitting 10 part, depending on their endings. Accel has an incredible amount of potential in it as you begin to learn, like 1/2 Prince they gain great comrades and  read more

Conceived by the same author, both titles feature realised virtual worlds in which most of the narrative transpire within. Both titles are also action-oriented.

Taking place between the real world and a virtual realm, both series blurs a line between fiction and reality. There is an adequate amount of game mechanics that are involved in their story as well. Both series' main male protagonist has similar personalities and develops a strong friendship with main female protagonist. As the story progresses, we learn more about the online world. Subtle romance later becomes evident between the two main characters. Accel World takes on a more straightforward approach with its game elements in a shounen style format. Online: The Comic has more of a psychological way of storytelling as there is also survival involved.

similarities -they have the same author -both have virtual reality games -both have a system where they can dive into the online network differences -they have different kinds of characters, kirito and haruyuki are two sides of the same coin, complete opposites but have similar roles, kirito is the cool black hero, while haruyuki is the shining silver knight but the one thing they have in common is that they both of them are good with VR games and are both are the ones who save the day -SAO is more of fighting to stay alive and for freedom while accel world is more of fighting to keep on  read more

The only similarity is that both main characters spend a lot of time in a combat oriented game world. That being said, if you can get over Accel's main character"s disturbing appearance, you'll enjoy it as well.

Both play a game with an avatar and fight others both are respectable good manga one may be older but it’s still get the feeling of the future of gaming in a virtual reality setting that both manga have just that one is kinda mature

Both mangas have 'less than desirable' young men who end up escaping from their worlds and enter a fantasy one. In A-kun (17) no Sensou - I, the Tycoon the protagonist leaves Japan and enters a world with monsters and magic, in Accel World the protagonist has the choice of going between the online world and the real. The two young men wish to change themselves and these new worlds might give them a chance to. Both are interesting series which I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Both are online games, have pointing systems wherein players can use to acquire skills. The location of the game field may look exactly like the real world's with their physical body still being there, with time as if stopped.

The similarities between Ratman and Accel World are not so straightforward. In both mangas, the main character is offer a chance to escape their normal life and enter a world where they can live out their dream every single day. In both cases, the main character is drag into the new world by a girl which he ultimately fall in loves with. Both main characters are not one would say as the "ideal" type. In Ratman, Shuto is given a gadget watch that allows him to become a "superhero" which had always been his dream. While in Accel World, Haruyuki is given a program which  read more
