Jumps from comedy to dark story pretty frequently. Lot of similarities in characters and the way the story evolves.

A human girl who finds herself in the demon world. A demon/vampire has a sudden interest in her. Enough said !

Both have a girl who lose her body and became a ghost and a supernatural guy who helps her.

Through its characters and narrative, both these serialisations explore concepts of living and dying. Sankarea explores life and death in a more in-depth manner; whereas Blood Lad only uses it to serve context for its story.

Has the same feel to it. The characters aren't really weak to begin with; Blood Lad being boss of the area and Soul+Maka and the rest being all top of the class. Same art too (from my view), except for the obvious trademarks to each.

Blood Lad and Hataraku Maou-sama! has a main protagonist who is not quite human yet displays many human-like behavior. There's some familiar themes in both series that includes the main character getting accustomed to a new lifestyle. Their relationship with others in both stories are also considered important for character growth. There is even some potential room for romance as we see the experiences they share with the main female character. As both series also revolves around with fantasy, expect some unorthodox elements that are not so typical in the human world.

A humorous supernatural story with unwitting humans winding up involved with hell and demons.

Both follow male protagonists who wish to protect and aid the female protagonist from their own demise. The female characters are cursed in a way. In Magico, the curse is related to a powerful and dormant power; whereas in Blood Lad, the curse is related to a lost connection from the human living world.

Both contains a similar plot: Main girl gets lost and ends up in a place she never knew existed. She, along with an acquaintance, tries to find a way to return her to her world, encountering lots of trouble along the way.

Person A somehow gets into a land of monsters and etc and Person B constantly saves them. . . but Person A gets turned into a monster themselves at some point. The girl is cute, the guy is seemingly weak (?)

Both of these titles focus on protagonists who are already powerful as oppose to protagonists who have great potential. They are also both very comedic and are from new-blood, shounen authors that stand out from other, new titles.

Both male leads in the manga are interested in the Japanese society for different reasons

These two serialisations revolve around male protagonists who share a similar distinction in that they have characteristics that go against what is considered natural for their heritage. For instance, in Defense Devil, the male protagonist, who is a devil, attempts to prove the innocence of sinners. Blood Lad, on the other hand, has a vampire protagonist who has no real interest in human blood.

Both supernatural shounen manga with tough but laid-back delinquent heroes, involved with demons and hell, and a few big-breasted girls thrown in.
reportRecommended by noirgrimoir
Same concept with the boy being a vampire and not wanting to drink human blood and then meeting a girl that they want to protect and love. Then later in the story you learn about another person that falls for the girl and in both stories they happen to be werewolfs with messed up/complicated pasts. Both are great and easy reads.

"Humans in the demon world" makes for a good setting. This is the case here, with a huge serving of comedy and ecchi. However Blood Lad has an overarching plot whereas Jigokuren is a bit more self-contained with basic continuation across chapters.
reportRecommended by denpanosekai
Both are supernatural shounen manga with a ghost as the main female protagonist. The main male protagonist in both stories are alive and the female ghost protagonist is their love interest. The male protagonists in both stories are determined to achieve a certain objective for the sake of the female protagonist. However, Blood Lad has strong action elements and has practically no human characters, whereas Tasogare Otome x Amnesia has strong mystery elements and has no demon characters.
reportRecommended by Coldlight
Both are goofy mangas where a teenage boy monster who’s in trepidation of humans ventures to a Japanese city from an underground demon world (resembling a human one but more vicious).

Despite the different nature of Blood Lad and Nanatsu no Taizai (The Seven Deadly Sins), there is a familiar mood with both series. The main male protagonist in their story both finds a girl that they become attached with. Throughout both series, they have a goal on their mind and seeks to accomplish it through any means. And over the course of both series, there is a growing bond between the main characters as they learn more about each. Both series' main protagonist also has gifted abilities and a reputation that strikes with fear and respect among their communities.
