Both MC were trapped in a VRMMORPG World (In Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari case its similar) where they have to fight to survive/protect something. Both MC is trying to find a way to escape from the world. In the case of SAO Kirito start off being OP early while the MC in Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari get stronger bit by bit. There will be sword fight scenes within both series, medieval-ish setting. However SAO does not have any magic settings in it.

Reading Online:The Comic reminds me of Sword Art Online alot. - Leveling system - Variety of classes but Online: The comic has hundred of jobs to choose from - killing monsters/ grinding for exp - if you die in the game you will end up dead in the real world - goal is to find out who created this mess / meet the creator - bosses/ HP system - both are online games difference sword art online uses a head device to get into the game, where Online: The Comic uses a PSP-like device to start the game. and can play the game like on psp/ in real life as well. online the  read more

If you die in the game you die in real life as well. Virtual Reality MMORPG (VRMMORPG), sword fight scenes, levelling system, battle monsters to earn exp. Both the MC has to experience the pain of losing someone they just met for awhile. The MC in both series tired to protect some girl but failed and get her killed. Continued living in the game while having to endure the pain and live on. Zero no Shiniki is considerably more gruesome than SAO. Both have similar names, Zero no Shiniki is called 零の神域 while Sword Art Online is called 刀剑神域

A world, were the protagonist has to learn how to fight in order to survive. As they gain experience they became much more stronger surpassing their friends. If you liked, the adventure part of SAO you will certainly like solo leveling. The main difference is in the focus of the plot. In SAO, the focus is more on the romantic relationships that are formed along the chapters, in solo leveling follows the conquers of the dungeons and the streight development of the character.

Teens are trapped in a death game where real life death is a consequence

In both worlds, society has managed to create technology allowing people to go to a virtual reality. However in SAO, the players are trapped while in Elysion, players are able to get a job in it and earn money.

In the story, both MC's are basically in a different world and they're both badass. Not to mention, they both have a little sister who they're not related with by blood. The only difference is that in SAO, the MC is trying to go back to the real world while in No Game No Life, the MC despises the real world.

Many people who are attracted to this game-sorta thing get stuck inside it and can't get out until they "complete" the game. If you die in the game, you die in real life. However in Real Account, if you die, the people following you also die; if you reach zero followers, you die; other people not absorbed into the game are also affected by the game.

You will enjoy life stories in another world with MC's daily life. MC has a lot of female characters that allow to the harem. Background like mmorpg. For the who like stories with themes of fantasy and life in another beautiful world, where all we want can be achieved easily. I recommend this.

Both are set in an MMO, have romance, and at one point are threatened with their lives

Both happened in VRworld, with the story quite deep and pretty good twist

You're probably wondering, "What the hell is this guy thinking, recommending porn?" Well, if you're not interested in porn in general you can skip over this recommendation. Now that that's taken care of, if you've read SAO and enjoyed the VRMMORPG aspect of it and want some porn along those lines, try Ne.To.Ge. The first 75% of the tank has a continuous narrative. (Yes, that's right, porn with plot!) There's actual character development and romance going on. Hell, the characters also age. It's really quite impressive in its own right. (Keep in mind hentai often favors art over substance.) I'm not selling it short on the  read more

Both have fantasy battles centred around a protagonist with a burdened past. SAO is lighter in tone and has romance, whereas F/Z is undoubtedly darker and focuses on character motives. In each series, you will find a good mix of battles and mechanics, with amazing character interactions.

Both main characters are highschool students that get trapped in a fantasy land and end up becoming one of the most power full people in that world (A.K.A badass), both have a large focus on romance that actually develops, both are great books.

Both are about virtual reality MMOs. While SAO has a more serious plot, Half Prince is more focused on the comedy/romance aspect (and there is an exit button). Both are enjoyable.

Both series use the theme of "survival" in a game like setting. Similarly, the main character in each series is a pro gamer who knows what he's doing, and later on meets a girl who he swears he will protect. While Btooom focuses more on the action, SAO puts more emphasis on the romance aspect.

Both are online games wherein players can seemingly use their own body (virtual reality). Players' real body can die if they lose/die in-game.
