Both are about a guy and a group of witches surrounding him. They are very comic, have a slight harem romance touch and even look as if they were a parody of each other at times. Witch Craft have action packed into the mix too.

These two serialisations feature prevalent themes of magic, romance, and guardianship.

They are action mangas about witches influenced by Ancient Greek mythology (Medusa and the gorgon sisters) and also have plenty of comedy.

The concept of witches become a pivotal point for both series. In fact, magic is a major form of art that is practiced as a way to fight both offensively and defensively. Witch Craft Works and Witch Hunter revolves around a story with supernatural elements. The main character get into conflict with the witches as they learn more about them while discovering untold secrets in their worlds. Although their settings contrast, both series provides insight on the MC's development over the course through experience in battle. Relationships are also fleshed out that concentrates on a variety of emotions for both series.

A harem of woman with supernatural powers fight to protect the community and keep everything in order. Both manga's have two male leads that discover they have hidden abilities, soon after they are forced into a paranormal world to learn how to use their powers and protect humanity.

Much the same in regards to supernatural beings such as witches, vampires, and monsters. Both involving school and romance not to mention the harem aspect, which brings about a lot of drama that escalates for the male protagonist. In the two manga's the female lead characters fight and protect the prominent male character from any danger that may come his way.

both protagonists are boys who previously had a normal life and suddenly are persecuted because of their occult powers that they themselves did not know

Both are mangas about wizards with different takes on them.

These two both have like that childhood and trippy relationships from when the two MC's were childhood friends and separated in some way. So if you liked this aspect of Witchcraft works then check out Nisekoi, although Nisekoi is really annoying to read and super long, but otherwise there isn't anything similar between the two.

Reversed role where the female lead took care or protect the male lead.

Despite having different premises, Iris Zero and Witch Craft Works takes up a concept involving supernatural powers and creates a story with unusual gimmicks. The main male protagonist is a normal guy who one day gets acquainted (in Iris Zero with a confession) with a popular girl at school. From there on, the story shows their relationship and the circumstances that revolves around them. There is supernatural powers involved in both series although Iris Zero also has a psychological essence to the story. Give both a try if you're interested in modern supernatural series.

Despite taking place in contrasting settings, both focuses on magic with a lot of influence on the characters and story. The main female protagonist in both series has a strong will and potential to achieve great successes. There is characterization that focuses on its main cast as well as their background stories. Throughout their story, there's also subtle romance that develops as well. Recommended for fans of fantasy fiction.

Similar in the way that the main guy/girl is adored in school (even having his/her own fanclub) and the most plain girl/guy in the school coming in contact with him/her, winning everyones hate.

Overpowered girl protects a weak guy, but the guy want to become strong too to protect the girl. Dozens of other girls join the mix, first as enemies, later as allies.

They have a guy surrounded by supernatural girls. The home situations are pretty similar, both have some girl(s) going to live with the guy, and there are a little gag hidden in Witch Craft about TWGOK.
reportRecommended by BlindNoldor
Both have a plain guy surrounded by gorgeous girls and one is an brocon girl.

Both male and female characters in each story have a similar vibe where they have a special relationship, and are at each others side. The girls are very skilled with undeniable fighting abilities Rie (expert swordsman) and Kagari (workshop witch), don't show much emotion, and both females are physically larger than the males. The males tend to be useless in the fighting department. However in Te to Kuchi, Shusuke has an incredible gift of reading people's emotions (conversational skills) to help him in his tasks. The difference is Te to Kuchi takes place in the Edo period, and both protagonist take on odd jobs.  read more
