Both are manga created by Miyashita Akira and unfortunately these manly stories have rushed conclusions due to being cancelled. In my opinion, the pros outweigh the cons as there's plenty of content to b enjoyed, especially to fans of manly/GAR type of series. Bakudan is about boxing while The Family of Brahman is about assassins which both follow the path of a true man. They're great short stories which I think could use some more appreciation.

Both are decades old series published in Weekly Shounen Jump with simillar art and plot. Both use magic and have badass main characters that don't only care about themselves.

Both series are written by the same author and contain the similar story themes of exploring manhood with unique martial arts. Family of Brahman is required to be read first as the series is referenced in the story line of Akatsuki!! Otokojuku; chapters 88 onward.

Both manga are from the same author. Family of Brahman recycles some of the characters and fighting styles featured in Sakiigake!! Otokojuku, but is more travel oriented while Otokojuku is more structured towards a tournament formula. The only real con to Family of Brahman is the lack of an ending due to it being cancelled. The flaws of Sakigake!! Otokojuku include reviving dead characters on a constant basis but both series have enough action that can overlook their cons.

Family of Brahman is heavily inspired by Fist of The North Star as it utilizes a similar assassination art called "The Fist of Brahman" which delivers the same result of controlling an enemy to their death. Both series contain manly heroes and tales filled with sorrow.

Both series involve manly heroes going on a journey while taking turns battling multiple enemies with unique martial arts and supernatural abilities. The main characters Ryu and Jotaro are very similar as they are inspired by Kenshiro from Fist of The North Star. Sadly, Family of Brahman doesn't conclude properly as it got cancelled but the series Sakigake!! Otokojuku is also recommended.
