Manga: JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 7: Steel Ball Run
Duo of protagonists travel the country to collect certain items. Both of these works feature interesting original concepts, and the fights have more dimension than just show of strenght and often the battles are way for the characters to grow.

The tale of an unusual protagonist with certain deficit/not exactly normal character trait, a story of a revenge. Both include delightful plot twists, so if you're into that style of writing you might enjoy these.

Manga: Vagabond
A swordsman leaves his home to embark on a journey across historical Japan with his mind set on a single goal. There are interesting characters and duels along the way and the protagonist grows with each encounter. Even the titles of each work are interchangeable to an extent (they are both sword-tales where the protagonist is a vagabond). The main difference is that one is a light novel while the other is a manga.
