The too are very similar killing monsters because you have to, blood, gore, death, ect.  The only main difference is in Zetman the main character is a "Player" or monster that is designed to kill the other monsters.  In Gantz it is regular humans that have died and are now sent to kill random alien/monsters.  The art work on both are amazing and the thought that goes into both are amazing.

To me, it seems that Zetman is a modern spin on the themes originally used in Devilman. Both feature a main character who fights off an invasion of superhuman creatures while at the same time fighting to keep their humanity.

Sun-Ken Rock addpermalink

very similar art-style, I would say the comedy is similar to something like...bokusatsu tenshi dokuro chan (exaggerated reactions), as well somewhat of a taste of typical harem artstyle i.e. skip beat/ kaicho wa maid sama (where they turn into little cartoon figures). . . Sun-ken Rock takes a lot of art styles from various manga and compiles it into an original plot.

Junk: Record of the Last Hero addpermalink

The dark path of both series' main protagonist indulges on a hero-like story but with tragic themes. Zetman and Junk: Record of the Last Hero has a main male protagonist who tries to do the "right" things for others but often finds themselves in conflict with others. These connects to many events from the past and present including with relationships he forms with certain characters. Both series are known for their graphic violence and mature setting. There is also sci-fi themes that adapts many advanced technology to give visual realism of its potentials.

Both mangas are well in a way superhero themed mangas. While Zetman is more dark and mature, Ratman has a more lighthearted and has somewhat of a comedic approach to it.

Kyoushoku Soukou Guyver addpermalink

In both manga, the main protagonist can transform into a powerful humanoid being and must use their new superhuman abilities to protect humanity from monsters that can morph into humans. Both manga also deals with a secret organization that wants to use their power for evil. Both are action-packed manga, filled with violence and gore. If you liked one, you'd like the other.

Shi ga Futari wo Wakatsu made addpermalink

Mamoru and Jin are similar characters, both come off as rather surly lone wolfs, but they are nice guys beneath their tough exteriors and have soft spots for their friends and allies whom they employ their unique abilities to protect. The art is very clean and clear, and both titles have secret organizations sending assassins with special abilities after the hero and his allies leading to duels where strategy is as important as force.

Zetman and desert punk share the same fascination for deserted places made out of concrete, and in the later parts of desert punk there's quite a similarity to the storytelling where longer tightly woven plot is unfolding. Also the pacing is a bit similar wheve both move quite slowly forward but still are full of action. Zetman is very serious though, and desert punk have its fair share of comedy, but believe me when I say that desert punk gets way more serious (and "seinenish") after a few volumes. Both are of course awesome mangas as well.

Animal X: Aragami no Ichizoku addpermalink

It might be hard to believe, but the similarities between Animal X: Aragami no Ichizoku and Zetman are striking. They feature a very similar story (shape shifting bishonens, lab environments, super powers and so on), and also visually the two MC's are very similar (before they transform that is). The ironic thing is that Animal X is some kind of proto yaoi manga from the 90's, that isn't really much more than a weird sexual fantasy (as far as I read before I gave up anyway). I'm not deep enough into manga history to know if the author of Zetman actually drew inspiration from Animal X or if they both are inspired by another earlier manga, but it's fun to see the similarities if you're a geek like me. read more

Berserk and Zetman both have a lot of similarities. 
They both have similiar art style, with it being very detailed in both.
Both have an over powered main character.
Both main characters are fighting for good and to protect others.
The main character's powers are simliar.
Both have a dark tone to it.
Both have very violent fight and death scenes.

It's both about poeple descovering in what kind of hell they are, tho the story resolves around different matters. They both have an awesome storyline AND the art + animation are <3 badass

When loved ones are in danger, will you step in to protect them from evil? There's no other option for these main characters. The situations require a hero, and the two of them aren't eager to gain fame. Originally they weren't planning to step up, but urgent necessity broke the barrier of only staying quiet.

While Zetman is darker and overall better written, that doesn't diminish the raw epicness of this manga in the least... as both share similarities on the concept of superheroes on top of also both being available for the seinen demographic.

MC suffers tremendous loss, and without his consent, somehow gets deprived of their original human physiology. They both have to fight against supernatural disasters.

<>Gigantis contains a lot more horror aspects than Zetman.

Birdmen addpermalink

Transformations into an inhuman form, taking out monsters in secret.
They want to protect nearby humans. The story starts light-hearted but becomes more dark the longer the story goes on.
If you enjoy one then you should also enjoy the other one.

Kekkai Sensen and Zetman adapts a dark urban setting with mature themes. The main male protagonist suffered from tragic events in his life as well. Both series adapts supernatural elements in their modern settings. In addition, there are underworld organizations and powers that have great influence in the story. Recommended for fans who are into dark fantasy and supernatural.

In both manga, the main protagonist takes on a superpower and can transform into a superhuman monster. The main protagonist in both series must fight against an evil organization, but are also trying to keep their humanity intact. Both are dark sci-fi action-packed manga with lots of violence, blood and gore. If you like one, you will enjoy the other.

Both stories are about a character that transforms to a more powerful form to be able to fight mutants overwhelmingly more powerful than humans. Plenty of violence and gore in both titles as well.

Kamen Rider Spirits addpermalink

Japanese take on your classical American super-hero theme. Expect a lot of twisted monsters, dark moments, blood, torture, collapsing buildings, massacre of civilians and ridiculously cool & flashy transforming super-heroes. Forget everything you've watched in that franchise before - this manga kicks some serious a$$, this is pure seinen (i.e. not for kids).

Both have amazing art, though Noblesse is a Korean Webtoon, so it is in a long, scrolling format and in color, while Zetman is a Japanese manga, so it's black and white and in page format.

What these two have in common is fantastic sci-fi action, a shadowy organization that creates grotesque experimental monsters to make more and more powerful beings, and mature storytelling. Noblesse has it's light-hearted moments between the seriousness and verges on fantasy, while Zetman is more or less dark the whole way through and has strongly-rated content. Both are incredible reads.

Keyman: The Hand of Judgement addpermalink

Zetman and Keyman takes place in an urban setting with dark fantasy elements. Both series has a protagonist who portrays a hero yet gets into complicated affairs that becomes a mystery in their perspective story. As their plot progresses, the mysteries thickens related to other characters that are involved. Both series are also infamous for graphic violence and horror nature expressed by the various creatures that make their presence in the city.

Tokyyo Ghoul and Zetman comes with different premises but has a similar style. The main male protagonist gains supernatural abilities (although they use them for different purposes). With their powers, they fight powerful adversaries while protecting what they care for. Throughout both series, there is an incentive for the MC to take drastic measures to save their friends. This result in various results and they discover both limits and potentials to their abilities. Both series also involve organizations with secret goals that causes complications. Revolving around a world of modern setting, there is also graphic violence present. Recommended for fans of supernatural horror.

People mutate and gain powers, then some other people decide to be superheroes and hunt them down.  Violence ensues.  The art is somewhat better in Void, but the series are otherwise very similar.

Boku no Hero Academia addpermalink

Anyone who is interested in action with a hero gimmick should consider giving Zetman and Boku no Hero Academia. Why? The reason revolves around the main character who has the potential to be a hero despite growing up being a normal kid. Both series adapts a story that involves the main character's growing potential as they try to fulfill their goal/dream. Do note that Zetman has a much darker setting as compared to Boku no Hero Academia.
