Both are pretty straightforward romance stories with minimal lewdness and a wholesome outcome. The themes could not be more different, but the story progression is very similar. In addition, they are both relatively fast-paced. Kimi no Okaa-san is a very short read in particular.

Both have similar vibes to each other, and despite how wholesome it is, both show mature themes like moving on, taking care of children, and love.

both are rom com with a young man and a mother, but the ton is more serious in Kimi no Okasan o Boku Ni Kudasai

wholesome "drama-free" age gap relationship with a marriage proposal happens in the first chapter, on Futari it's the female lead who does it (the older one) on Kimi it's the male lead who does it (the younger one). both of the stories focus on nurturing their relationship, Futari is about two people having similar trauma and licking each other's wounds while Kimi is about giving mental support to each other and Kimi also has kid (fmc son and mc niece) where 4 of them making emotional bond. Kimi vibe is 'bright' Futari vibe is 'dreamy'
