This manga right here is so sweet and heart warming. Compared to other slice-of-life style romance, this is by far one of the best already.
The main premise is about two students who are classmates and sit next to each other, Mie and Komura. Mie, since the beginning, has almost always forgotten her glasses or broken them in some way which makes it really hard for her to see. This was a well-done, fantastic romance.
Art was very good; it was clean, crisp, and had a recognizable style. Plot and development were excellent. It didn't feel like it dragged on too much. The side characters didn't hog entire arcs and were appropriately given a respectable amount of spotlight, development to support the main duo, and character to keep them somewhat interesting to not be forgettable the next time you happen to see them. The main duo's individual developments were acceptable. This story is whipped cream. Fluffy and sweet but it doesn't satiate.
Good: The art is cute. The way the characters act is cute. The slice of life aspect is done well. The MMC is not dense about his feelings, and the FMC also is pretty good about this. Bad: On the other hand, we're told they are sixteen. These 70 chapters take place over the course of 6mo-12mo. However, they act and talk like they're twelve about 75% of the time, and they're also drawn like they're in middle school. I don't like this. i found a part of this manga on instagram so i decided to look for it, and that was one of the best decision i've made in my life.
At first i thought it'll be just another plain romcom coming from a romcom reader since the nisekoi days, but turns out this manga was something else on wholesomeness. you can't really know what to expect from it. It's a classic middle school romcom with a lot of monolouge from the protagonist but you just can't get bored by his act. We're reaching the fun part, It's gonna get much better but also sad because it maybe ending.
But this is truly one of the cutest manga I've ever read. I highly recommend reading this when you have free time. It's super wholesome. The character and the story is just good. It's not boring, it's not cliche. This manga is different from the others in it's genre. The setting might be common but the execution is really good. The 2 main character alone is enough to make me rate this highly. They make progress, they hesitate but soon build up the courage to finally confess (Unlike some other MC). 10/10 ...

It was one of the best romance mangas I've ever seen and I can even say that it is the best.
For me, what makes this manga really uniqe compared to others is its characters and the devolopment of the story. Even though it includes misunderstandings just like any other romance mangas do, the story still gradually devolops and our main characters start to realize some things. This Manga perfectly portrays the innocence and mystery one can get themselves up to. Tropes are either perfectly fitting or flipped on their heads to make for a wonderful balance of story telling. The story's main plot points hit perfectly as they progress the narrative enough to not feel stagnant while also not skipping a step or two and losing its grip. 10/10 in everything, why? Because: This is a slice-of-life manga that has a realistic progression of a relationship. No gimmicks, no other convenient plot device to push two people together, nothing. I always recommend this manga to whoever I met IRL that likes to read manga love story, The author showing us each chapter how he keep falling deeply in love with her in every chapter. The art is amazing, hoping in the future we can see it get animated. Been reading it since pandemic and waiting for every chapter monthly or finding people to discuss it with. since finishing it, i've viewed megane as the inferior but more popular koume romcom compared to tonari no onee-san. to me, the latter is just a fucking masterpiece, demonstrating extremely realistic, detailed, admirable character growth in just 4 volumes. despite reading the whole thing, personally i did not enjoy megane as much as i thought i would, as i feel it's too melodramatic for a middle school romance at times. the "fluff" everyone looks forward to in this manga became like a miasma of mild cringe (although this may be because i have mild sensitive young man syndrome)
