Both are war stories about a boy and his first experiences in battle. In Ares the protagonist loves to fight and seeks revenge and in Kingdom the protagonist wishes to fulfill his dream of becoming a general.

both have a good story telling and lots of action. although the action in Ares is more fast pace and has less senseless talking in the middle of a fight sequence. and the art is more of a sketch then One Piece but once you get used to the art you may realize that it gives more depth to the fight sequences.

Ares and Berserk share a number of themes and story elements, while at the same time remaining wholly unique. Ares follows the story of a group of talented young swordsmen who come together in a mercenary army and forge bonds of friendship and camaraderie through difficult battles. Each of the main characters is given a rich background and a very unique personality, however it's in those personalities that you see the echoing of Berserk's lead rolls. Ares, like Guts, has a tragic past and is driven by thoughts of revenge. Michael, like Griffith, has a very grandiose dream and he is  read more

Same Author (Art&Story), similar story, but main characters with opposite predispositions to killing, following the story of individuals acting as keys into large wars between countries. Nephilim has more fantasy oriented while Ares has a more historical feel.

Both revolves around large scale battles and military strategy in two different setting. Sengoku Strays sets around the Sengoku era in Japan while Ares have battles that sets around Medieval era of Europe. Both have genius military strategies.

Violent fights, great action, and characters that are surprisingly noble despite the violence.

A similar style the MC has a bit of a twisted character due to he/ her childhood experiences

In both of them the fighting is really imporant. They want to be stronger to survive the battles. They are both strong characters, who knows what they want.

Both stories contain children/Teens being abnormaly strong fighting/brawling skills and don't give in, even challenge, if a person with power tries to surpress them. The mainprotagonists in both stories are experts in surviving their rough world. But i think you liked the Tekkon Kinkreet or Ares not only because of their fights, it's also the vibe that includes the art style, the character design, their own fashion and just being very clever while being goofy and stupid. I hope you try one of each!

Both of these works show a similar understanding of the horrors of war and conflict, friends dying, betrayal, and politics. Also, artistically they are on a similar level. Neither of them have the cleanest or cleanest art in the world, but still manage to display good action.

The points of the similarity go neither to the same characters' traits, nor to the genre or to the mood. It's rather the situation. Both mangas depict a dilemma between the bond of frienship and the cruelty of warlife. In both stories main heroes meet, already having a nasty past and personal goals. Somehow they grow attached to each other and that's the moment when they have to return to reality. There are lot's of alike situations in these mangas (sorry to call Ares manga) but the outcome of them is different completely. From my point of view Ares is several levels maturer than Naruto. However it's quite  read more

There are very few similarities between these two mangas but they have the same action - packed theme. In both mangas, a country is on the brink of war and the protagonist are both good swordsman/woman. Also, the hero/heroine are both deep despite their outward appearance. They both have an unpredictable plot, in which one would find exciting. Both are a very good read as they both have a lot of twists. The main character always takes you by surprise. Thus, creating the atmosphere of unpredictability.

Tonns of battles, strange abilities, and very skilled main character.

Soldiers and wars and kickass swordsman. Generally speaking Rain is much more light hearted and simplistic compared to Ares, but they are both great medieval action fantasy manga in the western style.

both are historical manga,Vinland Saga is definitely the manga that is more accurate when it comes to its story, but still both have good stories, both main characters seek revenge, the thing that is very different between this two manga is the artwork but both art styles look great

Ubel blatt got the same feeling as Ares. It got the same genres too, like adventure and action. Sword play is really imporant in both of them.
