In both manga the heroine has an excellent sense of taste and got into a special school thanks to someone's recommendation. While Najica plans to become a chef and is already good at cooking, Ichigo wants to become a pâtissière just like her grandmother and is a complete beginner.

Well, both have a girl who really isn't good at anything. They get really terrible grades, and at home their always in the shadow of their younger sister. When they go to a skills school to go into a career (YP is patissiere, and SK is voice actor) they get put into the advanced section, but after the first day everyone wonders why because they fail at everything! However, overtime they improve, and when they succeed in something, they do it REALLY well. Both girls have a lot of guys falling for them.

Both manga are about a girl who likes to eat cakes and starts training to become a pâtissière. Even though she is inexperienced and messes up a lot at first she has some good ideas about designing and decorating cakes.

Both girls are really.. derpy? Well, in both manga, the girls go to a school for a certain subject, for example: in GA, its magic/talents, in YP its making pastries. The schools involve magic. Both are shoujo. In both manga, the girl meets the top student at the school, and are treated badly by them at first. As time goes on, they get really good at the things they do in their school. Plus, the girls have pigtails.

Fairy Idol Kanon and Yumeiro Patissiere are both stories following a young girl who has a passion for a certain career (Ichigo wants to be a patissiere, while Kanon wants to be an idol) and ends up meeting a cute fairy, who has their own goal as well as the main character (Vanilla also wants good cooking skills, while Alto is in search for a beautiful singing voice to help save her fairy world). The main character and the fairy become friends and rely on each other, and there is magical goodness all around both stories. Both series are also targeted for all ages.

Food Wars and Yumeiro Patissiere are two cooking manga that are all about cooking duels at a culinary academy. Specifically, Yumeiro Patissiere is about dessert-making, so there's lots of cakes and treats throughout (not sure if Food Wars also has desserts). Yumeiro Patissiere has romance and fantasy (in the form of fairies) in place of ecchi fanservice, though.

Both are about girls who want to enter a big competition very badly, and although they aren't skilled enough at first, it turns out that they have amazing hidden talents. They also inspire everyone that they meet along the way. One is sports, one is cooking.

Hatsukoi Lunch Box is a cute break while reading Yumeiro Patissiere. It's about finding cute shoujo love through cooking :).

Both are very similar and have chibis from a fantasy world. Those chibis help the human protagonists. In the chibi world they have royalty. Both involve sweets and tea.
