| Haven’t read this but I’m assuming based on the VN because the anime came out in 2006 and the first published chapter of this manga came out in 2005 |

It mix even more events of UBW & HF than the Anime , and the Art is atrociously inconsistent. So for the Fate Route adaptations , stick with the Anime. Note that the UBW Manga did some weird choice that could makes it not faithful either , the Heaven's Feel is great , adapting the story way better than the Movies , while the Zero Manga is disregarded as a bad adaptation too. So yeah , the Main Story of Fate in Manga is... not really a good idea. |

Of what i've seen in the community tho, more than the story itself, what is often criticized is the over-the-top, overly present and overly detailed gore and/or disturbing scenes, with most of them not even being mentioned in the Light Novel. While the Fate Series, and even the whole Nasuverse contains disturbing elements, that Manga adaptation was on a whole 'nother level. Aside of that, how Gil is drawn, especially during the banquet of Kings, is questionnable, and the Iskandar's dick slap, and Kirei's BDSM dungeon master panels were also so random, i don't know what to say either. Edit : The words used to describe the Fate/Zero Manga generally are "Cursed" and "Avoid". Saying that it's "Bad" was not a good choice of word on my part, but i don't think it actually looks like a good adaptation either. |
