| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- A great episode, from start to finish. The song at the start was great, and the interview wasn't dragged out like last week's Elizabeth thing. Otsuu's new song was also awesome. (Hopefully a full version will/is released...) Otaku Hijikata's return intro was epic. Gintoki's narration was average, but the repetition was hilarious. The use of actual pics from the manga was creative (Although the idea came from the manga) Only uses up 1 manga chapter, yet remains a masterpiece. Setting up for a seemingly amazing arc... 1 Chapter down, 6 to go. Overall, 5/5. Lacking in nothing. This new director (From 151+) has really reignited the Gintama spark that was missing since the last change of directors just after the Itou arc... |

| Pretty meh episode, I thought the only really good part was Gintoki's narration gag. And I'm wary of arcs in Gintama in general. They tend to be hit-or-miss. Hopefully this one will be a good one. |

| I don't understand why everyone hates Otsu, her episodes are generally entertaining! I particularly loved the episode when she became the leader of the Shinsengumi. Plus, all of her songs are pretty funny, the newest one in this episode is actually my favorite I think. On paper this arc didn't sound that interesting, but I'm looking forward to it now. It should be a good one! |

| I think this episode made me laugh louder than any other episode when Gintoki tried to end Gintama for good so he wouldn't have to listen to Shinpachi's problems xD Toushi is back and better than ever! His rivalry with Shinpachi is similar to his previous rivalry with Itou (as Hijikata, not Toushi), the looks they give each other are the same! If this arc gets any better it might be the best comedy arc so far! Also, does anyone know the lyrics to Otsu's new song? |

| I love that Gintoki keeps trying to abruptly end the anime, whenever the characters break the mold and fuck with the system, it gives me so much life. this is gonna be such a stupid arc, anything too Shinpachi-centered is always either hit or miss for me, but this looks like it'll include more of the Shinsengumi squad so I'm down for it. |

| I thought the ep was pretty funny. Even though Otsu and Shinpachi's otaku shit is usually pretty annoying, I feel like having Hijikata as the main focus point of the arc will save it and make it worth watching. I also actually really liked the Tosshi development this episode. |
| Gintoki as the narrator and his speech about "oficial" being useless are the two things that made this episode funny for me. Toshi too, but not that much. Overall, I wish this wouldn't have been an arc and I hope it ends next episode. |
