Yes, the camp! It has certainly gotten me closely attached with the series. The way it meshed with SC's settings and characters (and Stands) in particular may just be what sealed the deal.

I've yet to completely delve into part V, but from what I've currently watched/read - III and IV are tied in my book.

You actually fell in love with Stardust Crusaders as well?? Wow - this is quite a rare encounter!

And Jojo: DiU is where Araki (the author) truly found his stride with the series. From what I could tell, Part VII expands upon that even further.

I think SC, DiU, and Part V have had the most impact upon a good portion of manga today.

This may come out of nowhere, especially since I've never posted here before...but do you guys know of any manga with harpies in it besides Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou? Thanks!

Try 12 Beast. Its from the same guy that wrote Monster Musume.

I see you've given Gundam Seed a try. What do you think of it so far? I like the start of the show myself, but I heard many people don't though.

I must admit I'm not big on older mecha from the 80s either. Though I haven't watched a lot, its mostly because of the style. I really can't stand the ones in the 70s however. 90s, I like more when it comes to mecha, but yeah, I'm more into modern mecha too.

You're in luck then, while the mechs are important in Code Geass, they're far from the main element. Its actually a show a lot of people who don't like mecha actually like because of that.

By the way, Bones was founded by former Sunrise staff members. Sunrise is kind of the king of mecha in the industry so that may be why the Bones leadership like to do as much mecha as they do.

Its difficult to know how you'll react to Code Geass, but based on what I see on your list I'm thinking it could definitely be something for you.

The key to finding the right series is the year it was made in, I found that series released within 5 years of one another often have a similar vibe in the mecha genre.

You know its actually strange, looking at my list, I've seen a lot of mecha and yet I wasn't even into the genre when I first started. How did you start becoming a mecha fan?
Arch-Defender Dec 29, 2013 3:37 AM
I think Seed is a good choice since Valvrave is similar to Gundam Seed and Code Geass. I see you have Code Geass on your list as well, if you enjoy it you can also pick up Gundam 00, which is similar to it in many ways.

Hi! Looking at your list, I can see you're new to mecha in general. Do you enjoy the genre so far?
