| If Strike Witches is indeed Gonzo's hope, surely or hopefully they won't butcher their trump card. Unless if they decided to rely from its predecessor's reputation and the fans - so they make a mediocre sequel knowing fans will continue to buy anyway. Season 1 was superb as far production quality, ideas, character, and real-life World War II references for the WWII buffs. I saw the strike_witches pages grew in danbooru since page 1, and now it's up to page 128 - sadly, not all of them are pleasant pictures. From just growing fanart archive, I know people love it and it's probably safe to say the show has established its own big fanbase somewhere (one of them here at MAL). Season 2 doesn't look bleak to me despite of hearing bloggers - namely Sankaku Complex - been doubtful, raising questions on the sequel. It took the company a while to produce "Strike Witches" the anime show since its trial period (the OVA) on the previous year. This series is literally not your low budget typical fanservice show although it's been stereotyped that way many, many times. They really should take their time making season 2 and have it surpass season 1. As far as whether or not it will redeem the same quality and staff as season 1, who knows? What we know is that cast will be back. Certainly I hope season 2 is in good hands. |

| I don't really know why I liked season 1 so much. I mean, it wasn't overly ecchi...and the story wasn't all that spectacular...but I loved it? Can't wait for season two. I miss me some Francesca... |

| All I want is more Erica. Like seeker said, I don't even know why I liked this so much, the characters were just awesome I guess. So as long as that's the same, it should be pretty good. |

| I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the characters again. I mean, all of them made me laugh at least once xD As for the plot...I really don't know what to expect. A new enemy? That would be the same wouldn't it? But I will probably watch season two and somehow like it even if it doesn't have much new material. Strike Witches can pull it off, assuming season two will be as great or even greater. |

| i knew there needed to be an S2 but i didn't think wed get one let alone to know about it this soon. i really liked the first season so i look forward to this one too. it was simple but good. |
| First season was fairly nice but the ending screwed it up aka RUSH IT MORE PLEASE. I do not like ecchi but witches rock ^^ |

| And it looks like I'm pleasingly wrong. I had figured nobody else would pick it up after Gonzo jumped ship. Looking forward to it. Very much anticipating both this and Black Rock Shooter. I've always been pleased at how Scud shares an excited Erica Hartmann fandom with me. |
