According to the 48th issue of Weekly Shounen Magazine, mangaka Kouji Kumeta, creator of "Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei," will be starting a new series titled "Sekkachi Hakushaku to Jikan Dorobou." The series will begin in the next issue of the magazine which is scheduled to be released on November 6, 2013.

A preview shows an illustration of three people: an unknown noble man with a long hat, a lovely and pretty noble lady, and a strong-minded high school girl.

And it has been over 1.5 years since Kumeta last wrote any manga. So welcome back!
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

It'd better be another comedy.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei's twist was the craziest thing I've seen in manga history, especially with the way the anime OPs foreshadowed it. I wonder what he has in store for us this time.

Very curious what kind of manga it'll be, I liked Sayonara a lot and I've read a few chapters of Katte ni Kaizou which were also entertaining so I'm very curious and loking forward to what this new serie will be like :)

Ahh, I really look forward to his new series, though I think it's a pity that this detective one shot he had made sometime ago didn't get a serialization. Anyway, I hope that it will be entertaining, but I wouldn't mind if he tries to draw stories in other genres aswell.

I should have added "in Shounen Magazin". You are right. He did a bunch of other series but it has been indeed 1.5 year since he last had serialized manga in Shounen Magazin.

I'm all up for new series by Kouji Kumeta. His humour is pretty enjoyable.

Also, the translated title seems to be "The Impatient Count & the Time Thief". By the sound of it, seems like it'll be either fantasy or scifi.

It's hard to not expect some satire and dark comedy from him, though i sincerely hope the humour style in his new work leans more towards Joshiraku's happy and uplifting tone, not the depressing and cringeworthy one that's often found in Zetsubou Sensei.

Fantasy/sci-fi setting, yes, but Kumeta's works are almost always comedies. I don't expect anything different.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is often categorized as dark comedy, and is certainly darker than Joshiraku, but it isn't really all that depressing. In fact, it is pretty damn light most of the time. The various societal norms and ills that are made fun of are rarely serious in nature, and, indeed, whenever one of the characters does bring up something serious, Itoshiki generally reacts by calling that too dark for the conversation at hand. It may be dark humour, but I rarely found it actually depressing.

Why is this not in the database yet if its out in a few days? Or is it listed under a different name?

From the looks of it seems like it takes place in a specific time period or if not it might have something involving s&m for some reason. Just a guess.

According to the new Natalie article, it started and it's about a comedy that uses "time" as topic. It is about the main character, a boy who doesn't do anything meaningful, meeting a highschool girl who is his friend, a lady who likes him, and a mysterious loyal who has long hat.
