| The only thing bugging me right now is that the xmas arc is taking 3 episodes to cover, and it's almost time for valentine's day. Oh well. The only thing i can say about this episode right now is I just felt so bad for Minorin. I was almost wanting to cry with her :'( |

I need the subs to stay alive now ^^ there're so many things I want to chat about.. but I don't wanna do it before the subs are out Taiga appears to be even moar MOE ^^ and her Christmas party dress is awesome (watch the next eppy preview)... she was also so cute as a child - sleeping like a kitten under the Christmas tree, so adorable!! I'll keep my thoughts about taiga-ryuuji-minorin-kitamura-ami-kihara until I watch the subbed version.. Swiftstylez thank God we both were wrong about MinoTaiga ^^ LOL oh my.. But the show was always going to go down the novel path. The question is this...have you ever seen a show minus reality shows or movies like the Bourne and James Bond series ever go any other way than the novel path? Actually just looking specifically anime; it always goes in the way of the novel since it's basically the live action (animed---cartooned) version of it. As a note: I wonder if you're going to be accused of spoiling. I was when I said something similar, just a thought since personally I don't see your statement as such. But I remember when you were disappointed about the outcome of the novel----for that I don't blame you hence the reason I said as much in my earlier post. |

Well Minorin has always been down the drain for me. But I always loved the others and I do think Kihara is definitely coming into her own. It would be interesting if all of the sudden Kihara ends up seeing a special confidant in Ryuuji (as she did in the last episode) and from there it delves into something more....almost along the lines of Taiga and Ryuuji's relationship. |

| Minorin is getting weirder every episode. I liked her in the beginning, but now she's getting on my nerves. But I'm sure that she'll come to the party. Ami is getting lonely again. Just like the every other anime, Takasu doesn't hear the most important point (which I too didn't understand - need some coal subs.) I'm still cheering for Ami x Ryuuji ending. *Adds A-min to fav charas* I love how Kihara is developing right now. I'm interesting in seeing how her quest for getting Kitamura's heart ends. Taiga is, just like the previous episode, dere dere. I'm starting to like her a lot more than before, and I think she's a lot cuter than before. She is not absurdly nervous around Kitamura anymore, acts like a normal girl. I love her flashback of Santa Claus. Anyway, it seems to me like this arc is going to be resolved in the next episode (or the one after) with Kushieda coming to party, and we'll get on with the final arc. |
| I love Minorin even more now. There HAS to be something deeper going on. I thought it was going to RYUUJI who confessed right there at the end. He asked her to the party and she rejected him is what I got from it. (I'm with Soulelle. I'm wishing I had waited until the subs were out.) But didn't he tell her to "wait!' right at the very end? Maybe he'll confess? I hope so. We need resolution with Minorin. At the very beginning I was a Ryuuji/Minorin supporter, but there hasn't been the same Ryuuji/Taiga interaction as before lately and I'm realizing how much I miss it, so I think I'm leaning Ryuuji/Taiga now. Man this is getting so good!!!! |

| Damn you Toradora for making me wanna give ratings way beyond 10!! If it wasn't for ep16 this would probably be my favorite.. Such depth.. I can't even begin to list all the amazing moments, but I'll say this: little Taiga is adorable |
| Drama, drama, something funny, drama, drama. That's pretty much what the latter half of this series has been. Minori acting crazy, Taiga acting all weird because of Christmas and Ryuuji in the middle just asking what the fuck is going on. That being said, this episode is nothing new, 3/5. |
| Minorin is all over the place, I have no idea where she's coming from or what she is trying to accomplish. Ami is great though, although a little neglected in this series, no real inner pickings of her mind have gone on in this series for a while. |
| Ami = relationship guru. She should have her own tv show and give advice, as she's a very wise character. If only Ryuuji would stop being in denial and start listening to her about Taiga... I'm with Faust721 on Ryuuji. He needs to grow a bit more then he has over the course of the anime. I realize right now he's a diehard for Minorin, but has he ever really examined why he likes her so much, and if she's really right for him? If they do confess to each other and go out, I really don't see them having a good relationship. Maybe I'm just a pessimist. On the other hand, Taiga and Ryuuji seem to understand each other and relate to each other in a much better, healthy way. At one point in this ep Taiga even completes Ryuuji's sentence, and I really thought that was cute. Taiga ends up sharing so much of herself with Ryuuji, and I wish Ryuuji would open himself up to her more. He has a bit, but he needs to have more deep conversations with her. :) |

Character development... suuure. At first Taiga was spoiled, violent, stupid brat but after few episodes... "Call me Taiga the Wise". Gee, I didn't expect this anime get even worse. |

If he understand this and tells her he doesn't care because he loves her, maybe she'll change. |

I can't see knowing enough about the character to understand her actions to come up with any conclusions, really, behind her actions. It's not hate I think...I think it's poor development run amok when it comes to Minorin. She's an non-understandable character. Every character---excluding Minorin, because I haven't seen her that self-sacrificing to tell you the truth would not the be the usual character. Sumire, who's actions I did understand, was the most perfect example of that. Taiga with her dad scene with Ryuuji; Ryuuji's actions countless time. I mean one of the most unlikely couples on screen....why was that?! He was/is in love with a fantasy. That is what Minorin has been for Ryuuji. He never knew her and is struggling to know her. This is the exact same problem with Taiga/Kitamura relationship. Kitamura was in love with an image of what he knew to be Taiga. It was when he got to know Sumire through working with her countless times he truly loved her and she responded in kind. Taiga came to have feelings for Kitamura from afar. Remember even Taiga said she can't seem to get to know Kitamura, because when she's around him she is uncomfortable. This was seen in the beach house scene. So Taiga herself has created an image that she can't seem to move past. Ryuuji is trying to know Minorin. When we see the first episode that is Ryuuji having a proper formal introduction to Minorin, even if he was in class with her before or knew of her through Kitamura. But this was the first time he could properly strike up a conversation without needing an excuse. This is obviously a man who never ever knew the woman he had a crush on. The problem with most crushes is that they are all like this. People falling in love with an image they themselves created in their fantasy world that eventually gets shattered by the real thing. Ami started off with teasing and moved into likeness. She had zero feelings toward Ryuuji, everything she had ever done was in order to get a rise out of Taiga...now she's moved away from there and sees how great a person he is and wants a return on her feelings. However Ryuuji is still in love with a fantasy, ie Minorin. When it comes to Taiga, Taiga is the one he knows the most and this is established. The one that so far has always been by his side and the one he has stood by. This guy for all his fantasizing about Minorin should have deep emotions for the girl that basically lives with him that he has to sift through. They're feelings if they are mutual, which I think they are, despite it leaning more towards Taiga liking him...is the one with the most mutual liking. Even though I love and adore Ami. And I do think she may have some strong feelings for Ryuuji, I wonder if it's not the same love from afar feeling. She's put Ryuuji on a pedestal for what he's done for her as a friend as alone worthy of all her love and devotion. So she's investing her love into a person who sees her as a friend and as such really just mixing gratitude for affection. <---If that's the case it won't last and that's the feeling I've been given. |

| In the scene where they were all admiring the Christmas tree, I was like "lol, what would happen if that thing caught on fire all of a sudden", and then... OMG. °o° Oh and how could some wind blow down a tree that size ? -_-; 3/5. I liked the show because it was something I could watch lighthearted, but now it's just drama drama drama with less and less humor. At least Taiga's character development is still pretty interesting. I'm still gonna continue to watch this for a Ryuuji x Taiga ending. |

| My Review: 3.5 by 5 I actually liked this episode. I have said it once and I'll say it again. When I heard the OP/ED I automatically had the feeling of pure depression. I think the anime creators know which feeling to arise in their audience and since I'm ridiculously sensitive to theme music (I have been known to actually NEVER watch themes because of the feelings they arise in me) the OP/ED here just screamed emo angsty drama and it did not disappoint. However, surprisingly I was not disappointed by the drama here. First off for several reasons. Ami was on point with a bit of misconstruing on her part and Taiga was cool. First with Taiga...as a Catholic school girl myself I totally understand her relation to Christmas and volunteer work. All throughout high school and for four years we had to do volunteer work in the community and Christmas is an uber special time. Shoot, I've been called the Christmas Nazi because there are specific rules that need to be followed for me to have a Great Christmas and yes I do leave milk and cookies that are normally eaten by my mum and sister. ~sigh~ In any event, I respect her feelings in this and I thought Taiga was a cat after my own heart. ^_^ Now Ami. I see where her insight is coming from because at times I had the feeling that Ryuuji and Minorin took up the role of being Mummy and Daddy to Taiga's child. Especially in the school event episode with Taiga as an Angel. However, before that and after that situation I haven't seen that to be the case. Something is wrong within their relationship for me to see it. I think it's because I see Minorin as so apart from Ryuuji to see that as likely. Maybe Ryuuji sees it that way but I don't see it set in stone. As for Minorin. Since I'm a Christmas Nazi and seeing the amount of energy, time and though those kids put into making such a magnificient tree and Taiga's beautiful star being shattered----Let's just say I was pissed. It far from made me like Minorin, but if I was in that room, her ears would probably have been blistered by cuss words and if I know myself I'd be crying a river. That would gut me and it would be all her fault. That being said, it was an accident and she did "sort" of fix it..but it didn't help her cause. Ryuuji...once again the man is setting him up for another rejection. Every bloody episode they talk to each other since episode 9 Minorin has blatantly rejected Ryuuji. Over and over and over and over again. The man is a glutton for punishment and needs to see that his fantasy girl is just that...a fantasy. A baseball thrown to someone's head can kill them even if the person is 3 feet away when it's coming with force. It's completely easy for a baseball to do that kind of damage to the tree and even the glass window, although slowing it down, would not be able to eliminate all the power behind it and then it was moving downwards from an upward push. It could take it down. If that ball had hit Haruta-chan who was on the ladder earlier he would have had a concussion as the lesser of possible injuries. The show is definitely drama, drama, drama like you stated. I said it before and I'll say it again...the OP/ED was setting us up for that and the videos were added depression and it said a lot about Kitamura's role. You noticed in both the OP/ED Kitamura is almost non-existent? Well he's gone back to that role, like in the beginning. He had his moment in the sun and now it's been wiped out. I'm a Taiga/Ryuuji fan as well...hopefully they come through although I don't mind Ami/Ryuuji as long as Ami gets more development because I get the feeling she's confusing gratitude with real romantic affection---->considering she's never had a boyfriend either. |

I really don't get anime that show attractive single teachers. Do they just not get out enough? So in the preview, is Taiga not at the party because she's getting Minorin? |

I think the first one is rather apparent as well mainly through all her bouts of rejecting Ryuuji we have Ami in the backward saying the contrary (and Minorin reacts rather violently to suggest that Ami may be right.). |

| Once again, they're going with the emotional route. It's amazing how this anime get in such depth, given how it started 4 months ago. I'm just in love with Taiga how she manage to remain happy with all these that's going on. |
