Xam'd has one of the best names ever. And according to malgraph military is one of my favorite genres, so I think I might like the last one as well.

While I was watching it I felt that a lot of it was rather cheesy or cliche, and it had a kind of sub-par feeling to it, maybe that things felt contrived or incomplete. But then the main character ended up being so consistently awesome that I couldn't help really like it in the end.

I have reached a point where I'm fairly lost at finding great new animes to watch. I've even started reading manga, which I have never done before.

Thanks! As for more anime, who knows. I write when I see opportunities for an interesting in-depth essay, but most anime don't yield such opportunities - really, _Death Note_ is quite extraordinary for giving me not one but three such opportunities.

Muahaha, smooshed Ohana! I love the characters in that show. Also, I almost never listen to the opening or ending music, but the songs from that show are simply outstanding. Also I see you've watched part of Natsuyuki Rendezvous. That may actually be the strangest anime I've watched.

Thank said, did you /really/ like Kaiba that much? I see you also enjoyed FLCL, though. I guess I just dislike the scattered kind of psychological anime. I prefer the darker side, like Lain, Higurashi, or Elfen Lied. Also, Kemonozume has a certain appeal I simply can't pin down.
