| This show isn't doing a very good job of adapting the parts of the manga that aren't funny. This episode had two high points of the uncomfortable/bitter tone the manga sometimes delves into; Tomoko's social anxiety breakdown when taking shelter from the rain with those two guys, and her bursting into tears because there's no one who would care if she were sick and missed school. I didn't think either had that much punch here. The latter especially; Tomoko's tears are rendered in comedy waterfall style. I think it's fine for adaptations to be different from their source material, but this one just seem to be taking dimensions out and is the lesser for it. |

| hah when she was conversing with her bro it came off a lot more flirty and cute compared to how i interpreted it in the manga where I thought she was straight up hitting up on him hard because she doesnt know how to flirt or get attention. I have red marks on my face from all the facepalming I've been doing reading people here thinking the "psychology" test has validity of some sort to it. Its silly pop psychology that is put into teen magazines and the like designed to sell rather than be factual. | Aw, poor Tomoko, I really felt bad for her this episode. :( I know that moment with the missing textbook all too well, stealth mode never works when you want it to, damn it. :D That part about the cold was such a classic too. Catching it from your sibling is the surest way, but as in the anime, it always ends up biting you in the ass. No matter from what angle or posture, a normal five-fingered hand never looks like that. Let's hope that Yuu-chan's disfigurement will be explained in some future episode. Maybe she was born that way. Maybe as a child her hand got caught in mechanical equipment in her family's business. |

But then the guys came back and gave her an umbrella! I just love those guys! Dat psychology test. Dat imagination. I still feel sorry for Tomoko, but I really enjoyed this episode! |

| This anime is painful to watch, reminds me of my school days. I could play invisible until I grew really tall and gain weight, never took shelter against the rain though. Had no trouble talking to boys because we exchange comics (only interaction). I can't laugh at her misery, aw man she is so sad. |

I would enjoy seeing more of Yuu just because she seems like a good friend for Tomoko. | lol I don't think the fact that a lot of people can relate to her is as sad as some people are saying. It's just normal. That umbrella scene lol. Getting those thoughts of wanting to destroy people over everything that happens even if its minor. Happens too much to me lol. It was nice of that guy to leave the umbrella. Shame she didn't notice. I remember trying to avoid going to school hoping I would catch a cold or trying to stay up so I'd be too tired to care lol. BlackCrescent said: Oh...
