| My word, didn't think it would be that good, can say it was definitely the most entertaining first episode this season, and felt so bad for her, being hurt like that. I'm already having special feelings for this show. Also, the back-scratching orgasm scene was hilarious!! XD I also really liked the OP, best I've seen this season so far. But I'm not seeing any other characters in the OP, I'm going to be sad if no other male characters that like/interact with her are introduced. |

| It was a really funny episode, the OP was quite a surprise and misleading too. I absolutely love the ED. Hope that they do more parodies like that Death Note one during her research. So we pass from the cool? "dark knight" loner of Hachiman, to this cute? insecure and awesomely crazy loner girl... me gusta. |

| I like this episode I guess. I don't like the opening.. I like the comedy (I like it's humour. Can't explain why.) Tomoko's face when she goes twin tails is creepy and kinda funny. And does anyone here think that Tomoki resembles Staz? No? Ok.. 4/5 for this episode. |

| I like the art style. Its done in a quite fitting way. The OP works well even though its not an obvious fit i never imagined a calm or cutesy opening making sense for this so thats well done and seems to be like a representation of Tomokos mental state. Gonna take a bit to get used ot her voice since at times it sounds nothing like I imagined but when she gets all quiet or down feeling more thats exactly how I imagined. @_@ The ED is cute x3 Some of the background music annoyed me. Like that 8-bit sounding thing with the wooden dowel instrument thingy. That could have been done better. I know they're going for offbeat quirky BGs but ugh. I also felt the vibe of when she switched to depressed mode talking about killing herself was right. Nice touch with the swarm of darkness coming out but the music made me feel like her bro was only annoyed. I originally in the manga interpreted him as actually having some pity or even subtle worry in his annoyance. I think it was the music not changing that did it. Of course this is only the first episode. There are some moments in this that get kind of deep and depressive feeling for being a comedy so I hope they figure how to adapt that well without losing that feel I could sense by blanketing it in an overly comedic vibe. Thats what made the manga funny to me is switching from a semi serious vibe to just humour so it makes things somehow funnier how often the vibe changes. |

| Haha, this girl has some serious problem. Her distorted body image and communication problem is on the maximum level that it is quite depressing. But anyway, will continue watching. Maybe it will hook me up in the next episodes... |
| This show didn't make me laugh very much compared to other comedy series airing this season like Kitakubu and Servant x Service, but I really liked the main character. She's just so weird and mesmerising to watch. I can relate to the trying to be cute but failing at it thing, too. The dialogue was excellent, as well. There's a lot of fun Japanese slang included, and the delivery was ... amazing. The social awkwardness of Tomoko was captured so well, especially in that scene where she buys the hamburger. |

| One of the very few series that have caught my attention in this most mediocre of seasons I can remember. The seeiyu is doing a great job in that role and the balance between humour and social commentary is pretty good too. Will watch more for sure. |

| Compare to YahariOre, this at least I can know why she has no friend. Hachiman can speak very normally and fluent to people but this girl has social anxiety disorder. I have to be honest, I had a good laugh but the last part was a bit harsh x_x; She is very cute if she just act normally but I guess that would be too hard for her. This is by far the best Anime of the season that catch my eye( other is just meh...). Definitely gonna continue watch =) |

| Totally did not expect that OP. I always thought the song from the PV would be the OP. That aside, ED is really cute. I can't remember if "I'M COMING!!!!!!" was in the manga, but the good thing about TV adaptations imo are scenes which are funnier when animated. |

| Whoa, this was a lot better than I had expected. The OP is freaking AMAZING! I didn't expect a metal-type OP for a slice-of-life kind of anime like this. Absolutely love it! I knew the female vocalist sounded oddly familiar since it Konomi Suzuki. :D I feel so sorry for Tomoko. She just wants to get popular but she has been a shut-in for so long and has trouble talking to strangers. I laughed so hard throughout the entire episode. Tomoko's ugly faces were hilarious. Tomoko has a really nice brother at least; Tomoki. Tomoki is even voiced by Kyousuke's VA. xD Dat life counseling. :P I also loved that Death Note reference with the dramatic mouse clicking. ED was really nice and funny. Kudos to Izumi Kitta, her voice fits Tomoko so perfectly. :) Definitely one of the best first episodes this season. Looking forward to more Watamote. 5/5 |

| DAT OP. great one. the character style seemed like a mix between dansai bunri no cirme edge and danshi koukousei no nichijou ôo but i may be the only one who thought that. well, it did have some funny scenes, but all in all i have seriously no idea what to think about this show. the faces creeped me out a bit tbh, but it sounded kind of cute when the mc was speaking with this shy voice. i don't even know what the storyline will be. will she figure out that everyone's beatitful and get some self-esteem/overcome that shyness? or will this anime be about finding friends? or will she turn into a pretty girl at the end? i have no clue at all. |

Their purple and blue and show that they get next to no sleep at all (which is why their mother doesn't have it). I absolutely love this so far, so many amazing manga moments I can't wait until they animate. |
